  1. Question: "What the hell is going on?"
Answer: Jesus Christ didn't return, because you OBEY HIS GREAT END-TIME APOSTLE GOOD ENOUGH, and GOD GAVE YOU MORE TIME.

  2. HWA was actually against space travel at one point in time, claiming that the "second heaven" (ie outer space), was not for mans dominion yet. This was in the 60s and 70s.

Fast forwarding to the 1980s, and satellite communication allows for simulcasting his FOT sermon live around the world. I recall Judd Kirk being the song leader, and having to wake up at like 2 in the morning in order to hear this broadcast internationally.

Herbert Armstrong declared something like "God cause r the invention of satellites and space exploration , so as to be able to communicate to the whole church around the world simultaneously and to hear all of you singing together at the same time".

HWA thought that many modern devices and technology were deliberately allowed by God to further HWA's personal reach and influence, ie television, radio. jet travel and more.

  3. Dude! Jesus knows enough to hitch a ride on the Starship Enterprise! Scotty will beam Him down directly on to the Mount of Olives from the transporter room. His particles will pass right through the satellites and reassemble perfectly as He lands! Where's your faith, Man???

  4. This satellites interfering with prayers reaching God nonsense, reminds me of something I read on an Ex-SDA page. Ellen White told her followers if they ate eggs or butter, their prayers would only go as high as the ceiling. The inanity and superstitions of the Adventist family of churches never cease to amaze me.

  5. SDA beliefs are just as crazy as Armstrong's, including the myths around Sabbath commands for New Covenant Christians. Vegetarianism is just as weird as the clean and unclean meat lie the church fostered.

  6. SDA beliefs are just as crazy as Armstrong's because both systems are Adventist.

Like being a god as God is God. Nothing could be more ludicrous or blasphemous.

  8. I can think of a few others just off the top of my head:

"Your very salvation depends upon you following the next pastor general of the worldwide church of god!"

"We only have three to five years left."

"And you women, get rid of that make-up. Only whores wear paint on their faces!"

"We only have three to five years left."

"I never said we were going to Petra."

"We only have three to five years left."

"The MOA is the second best book next to the bible."

"We only have three to five years left."

  9. So God is so weak he can't move a small satellite? If anyone believes this they really don't believe in The God who created this whole thing we are living on.

  10. Bless your heart 12:56!

It is called satire. Why do Armstrongites have to take everything so seriously?
