Dave Pack: Is he strapped for cash? He is selling one of his properties

Is RCG Strapped For Cash?

Despite "how well" The Restored Church of God is reportedly doing per recent comments by both David C. Pack and Bradford G. Schleifer, there could be some cause for major doubts.

You now have a limited time to gain a piece of church history.

For the first time since the Campus was built, the Restored Church of God is selling one of the homes. This one is located at 799 Hartman Road in Wadsworth for $269, 900.

I want to stress that this is 8 out of 10 on the Shocker Scale for a turn of events for The Restored Church of God. They have never sold a property before. I cannot help but wonder if this is just the first.

If you would like to see the listing, visit the M. C. Real Estate website. (No, that is not my side business in case you were wondering.) You can also find it on Zillow.

For our first interview back in May, Dawn Blue researched public records and compiled a list of all the properties that The Restored Church of God owns. You can link to that document here.

Public records show that the house was first purchased in 2014 for $117, 500 and sits on 1.72 acres. It is a very nice place. I have been inside many times. You might want to purchase it just for the rich history and cocktail party conversations you would have about it.

Dennis, do you have $270k lying around?

This is a total reversal of the Manifest Destiny trajectory David C. Pack has been going on since 2011 when the first lot across from Giant Eagle was purchased.

This raises a host of questions, but I have no answers. What is the motivation behind this? What is going on inside RCG? Are they planning to sell off more?

Dave, since you are a fan of either/or, here is a binary question for you:

Do you WANT to sell the property or do you NEED to?

Listing this on the market now is a faithless act since Jesus Christ needs to return by Sunday to get to your “not-really-a-50-day-count to Trumpets.”

And we are all still waiting to hear about the “slight change” to your epic craptacular.

Marc Cebrian

  1. How long will it be till we see a senior retirement center take over his compound or some evangelical church?

I am waiting for a new-age or feminist bookstore to take over Bob Thiel's little shop/cult HQ building. What a hoot that would be!

  2. Short and sweet (or not-so-sweet) is the fact that DP's one-way teaching seems to ignore 1 Peter 3:15. His one-way teaching is WHAT I SAY is the TRUTH regardless of what GOD says in the Bible -- just listen to me DP because I have the INSIDE WITH GOD and you don't need to believe your Bible -- just listen to me instead -- and I ... I'll steer you straight into being one of many reserved for the time of Rev. 12:17.
((( PS: I was not speaking first-person. I was doing a sarcasm type of speaking as if DP were telling you the truth about himself.)))

  3. If, for sheer irony, Banned would like to take up a collection and buy any of Dave's real estate offerings, I'd be happy to chip in a few dollars (conditions apply).

Maybe the famous Ohio-based Wellspring cult recovery center could use a satellite campus in Wadsworth? That would be a cause worth donating a few dollars!

  5. Dave's reason for why he had to buy all these houses in the first place was because why should God's ministers being paid with God's money be enriching local landlords.

Since Dave’s catechism of salvation includes selling all that you have, the "Common" doctrine that only Dave Pack could restore, which mandates liquidating all your assets would apply to himself as well. Then why isn't he selling all of the houses?

Marc Cebrian's articles have time and again shown a grand pattern of hypocrisy prevalent in the RCG - the true greatest untold story. In the context of Dave’s real estate aspirations and excuses, Dave certainly wasn't worried about all the non paid field ministry enriching their local landlords or enriching their local economy if they owned their homes.

Herbert Armstrong bragged to his former advertising boss on a tour of the Pasadena campus about looking at everything "I have built". Dave’s legitimacy is tied directly to real estate - the who I am worldwide announcement that was already prophesied to have taken place. Real estate is Dave and Dave is real estate.

With this shocking announcement, there may have to be another website created. M C Real Estate Critique - working on a $60.00 commission would be a great name for it.

  6. Hoss:
What a great idea. Do you know how to set up a gofundme page? The group could name the place the "restored church of truth" and use it as a gathering place so it would not be taxed. The upstairs rooms could be reserved for activities that HWA, GTA, and many, many evangelical preachers have been infamous for. This could be the "unbanned" subsidiary of banned.

  7. Too bad it's not in the sun belt or I might consider buying it. Seems like a nice house, and was probably well maintained. I don't know that I'd want to live that close to the RCG "common" community though. Probably some bad juju associated with that, although they'd most likely believe that the sweet sounds of a healthy old Harley, even trying to be quiet as it came and went, was nothing but noise pollution.

  8. When clicking on the MC Real Estate link, one immediately sees the writer of the property description has a sense of humor. The very first sentence reads: "Dont miss out on this miracle 4 bedroom, 2 full bath country home".

Miracle?!?! The only miracle I see is that it is miraculous that Pack could dupe so many people out of their life savings into purchasing these real estate assets. Pack is the ultimate in using OPM to buy real estate - Other Peoples' Money!

  9. Bob Thiel's little storefront would be perfect for a Marijuana Dispensary in pot happy California!

As far as Packs listing is concerned--- I WILL TAKE IT!
In fact, I will take it over the listing price!

$300,000 Full Price +, my terms though, $1 down, and $1 a month for 300K months!

This math actually makes more sense than his sermons! LOL!

  10. There's a poster in one of the real estate photos which says, "éviter les contrefaçons." How ironic. The French translates to "avoid fakes."

  11. Unfortunately, 10:38, religious scammers and political ones have protections that neither you, nor I, or most other citizens have available to us. I guess the law takes into account that some people have consciences and do not need the level of protection as those who are utterly without conscience or redeeming value. If we scammed even on a superficial level, our assets would most likely be seized and held to make restitution. Seems like it sucks to be one of the good ones sometimes, but doing good can also be its own reward.

  12. Is he going to sell the horses too? Asking for a friend.

  13. re: He has the right to have a house the same as other people do.

No he doesn't. He has to sell it and give it to the church! Rent my friend. It will do you good. You don't need nor deserve assets. The only thing you may keep Dave, is the horses, as long as all of the brethren can rid them.

  14. I just received word this morning that RCG is purchasing a $600,000 home next to the Campus. Once I get confirmation that this is true, I will write an article. So much to say if that is the case...

  17. Let me ask you -- when did Mr. Armstrong say it actually begins? -- with the Bible backing up the fact that ... ... it begins when the fifth seal commences , right? And it begins with those left behind which they face martyrdom right?

That's the knowledge part of it. We have to do it right?
So David Pack doesn't have the loadciean era right.

  18. Once God’s judgement comes on DP, none of his disqualified ministers will have a house including DP!

  19. DP has a history of over extending himself and losing big time. He did it with his parents health food store. Is history repeating itself?

    1. He’ll need the horses to travel about after he loses his cars, houses, ability to pay his quake ministry. He won’t even be allowed a tent to live in on the compound after the bank takes it back.

  20. @Anon 9:13 am,

Is that you Byker Bob? Your talk of the "Sweet sounds of a healthy old Harley" makes me wonder if that's you.

Regardless of who this is, the sweet sound of an old Harley cruising up and down Dave's compound will drive him bat s**t crazy, he'll think the Hell's Angels are moving in on his turf. Heck, I think the entire RCG compound would make a great bikers compound, at least they'd get better use out of it.

  21. RCG is already overextended, I bet all those homes are mortgaged to the hilt.

  22. Guilty as charged, 5:51. I was out tearing up the road last night and still had those sweet sounds reverberating in my ears when I woke up this morning and started posting. While I was gassing up for that ride last night, an old biker had jumped over to see what was making the sounds, and just completely freaked! He rides a newer bike now, but really misses his old one, which was apparently similar to mine. Stellar night! So good in these troubled times to have such a positive thing in one's life.

  24. Who on earth would want to buy a house in that neighborhood? He would be surrounded by zonked-out cultists! Only the neighborhood where the Westboro Baptist Church is located would be worst!

  25. Great to hear from you Byker Bob! I thought of you also when I read the earlier post. I hope time has been good to you.

In another Banned post comment, I was asking whatever happened to Tom Mahon. I received a reply comment that Mahon had posted that he had found the True Church in the Jehovah Witnesses. It still irks me about how Mahon hijacked Gavin's Farewell post on Ambassador Watch.

    Keep on biking!

  26. Oh my. Cocktail party, dancing, marrying the divorced, etc... What else do they do like the World? Then they call the outsiders heathen, those that don't do those things. No wonder People are so happy and it's so fun there, in their reprobate minds of coarse. These are NOT going to judge the World!

  27. I had a feeling it was you Byker Bob. Hold on to your old bike as long as you can. They don't make em like they use to and it gives you something to look forward to in these times. I don't ride my self but I do love the old classic muscle cars, especially the Mopars as they are just as sweet as an old Harley, hoping to get my hands on a 69 Charger before I retire. Take care of that ol' girl Byker Bob and she'll give you many more years of sweet cruising.

  28. In another Banned post comment, I was asking whatever happened to Tom Mahon. I received a reply comment that Mahon had posted that he had found the True Church in the Jehovah Witnesses.

Unless he undergoes a radical personality change, I don't see Mahon lasting long as a JW. Not only do they have a history of prophetic failure that rivals or even surpasses HWA's record, they have a huge and rigid bureaucratic hierarchy that doesn't tolerate mavericks and free-thinkers well at all. The moment that Mahon drops the slightest hint that he thinks he understands things better than his local JW elders, he'll get his butt kicked to the curb faster than you can say, "Time to start my own church!"
