An anonymous LCG source sent the following regarding Living Church of God's recent push to get vetted members to put the church in their wills.
Some months ago the area pastors and local elders were talking about and promoting leaving your estate to the church, and they were sending out a pdf file (attached to this email), it is a booklet with instructions on how to put LCG in your will and encourages people to do so. It is not available on the LCG website. I have heard a great amount of LCG income comes from estates.
It is only given to members or people they have vetted. When I read it I was somewhat horrified honestly, by how they encourage elderly people who are some of the most vulnerable amongst us to leave all their money to the church, they even say in the booklet how this sets a good example to family.
They "encourage" elderly members to leave all their possessions to the church in their will, or better yet, while they are still alive, why wait to die, give them your money now! What's the point of having savings during retirement anyway... as page 10 says "An unrestricted, lump-sum gift during your lifetime is often the easiest and most efficient way to meet your charitable goals. Also, this allows your resources to be put to use immediately to achieve your goals and the Church’s mission"
Read on page 6 . "Church congregants who are not officers, employees, managers, agents or official representatives of the Church may serve as executors." I know firsthand of an elderly couple that has left church members in charge of their estate and given them power of attorney over them, the local elders encouraged this.
Note also on page 8 how they are sure to encourage you to not add any restriction of use of the money, so they have full liberty to use it as they wish. " An unrestricted bequest is the most helpful and permits the Church or its institutions to use your gift where the need is greatest. This flexibility allows the Church to respond to changing needs as they arise.
Example: “…to be used for the benefit of the Living Church of God as it determines.”On page 11 they even suggest you add them as a beneficiary to your life insurance policy! "You can also designate the Church as a partial or full beneficiary of a life insurance policy"
If you read through the PDF I attached you will find the statements above and much more.
If this weren't bad enough, I know so many seniors in LCG who are already in financially vulnerable positions and even on government assistance and are told on high days to "not come before the Lord empty handed", they go through so much hardship just to be able to give offering and attend the Feast. They claim 3rd tithe helps those who cannot afford to attend the Feast, yet I have seen so many denied Feast assistance because "they didn't put forward enough effort on their own to accumulate 2nd tithe", I have yet to meet someone who has received Feast assistance. Then they go on to say how it is appropriate to use 3rd tithe to pay for hall and "the levites" (aka the ministers), which is where I imagine all this 3rd tithe goes to.
Thank you for the work you put into your website and for exposing these organizations for what they truly are. I hold hope that many more will come to understand what I have understood, that they are living a lie.
Regards,
Anonymous

I want my reward! But, I don't like the ACOGs. So, I have some stuff that will actually cost them more to dispose of than it is worth. Goin in my will for an as yet unchosen ACOG. It sounds as if this will thing is a great program to avoid encumbering the relatives with whom you truly love. A rat infested, dillapidated home with black mold and a clogged septic tank would also be appropriate to will an ACOG. Or some land that borders on property owned by the Russian mob or is next door to an outlaw biker clubhouse. Stuff with existing tax liens, cars that people killed themselves in, I mean there must be dozens of horrible things that could unloaded on these greedy little cults. Got land in the wilderness that could be used for weekend retreats? Give half to your ACOG and the bigger half to a local nudist organization! I personally would take great joy in buying a couple acres adjacent to the RCG property, and use it to start a nice upscale nudist colony.
ReplyDeleteThe blessings come in the form of abundant laughter shared by everyone familiar with the authority figures in the particular ACOG, as they beheld the karmic displeasure inflicted
This is predatory
ReplyDeleteMoney has always been more important than Jesus Christ.
ReplyDeleteDave Pack's got competition. If a member leaves their possessions to the church in their will, peeping Tom church members will be able to find out all manner of personal details of the deceased. And spread it through out the church. It's the ACOG way.
ReplyDeleteAnd doesn't the donate your stuff to the church when you're very old sound like that old movie Zorba the Greek. The movie shows an elderly woman dying in her home, and the town folk stealing all her furniture right in front of her.
I don't approve pushing people to put a LCG in their will. But to be fair, this document has been available for many years on the LCG website (Donations/Planned Giving)

ReplyDeleteEvery bit of misinformation help these groups. Get your facts right.
THe bitchute is only for UCG NWA (NOrth West Arkansas), just a repository for members who want to listen again the sermons from their local minister. Not a big sucesss though!!
The main YT channel have 6,200+ followers https://www.youtube.com/@UCGsermons
This is exactly what the Pharisees were doing and Jesus was NOT Happy about it...Matthew 15:5, NIV: But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is 'devoted to God,'
ReplyDeleteThis is what LCG teaches and yes they truly have even from the time of Global urged and typically promoted to some sort of position if you put them in your will and let them know about it. They have been begging for MONEY like this for well over 25 years.
Breaking the word of God and STEALING, through the trickery of the Serpent, the inheritance that Solomon stated :
Proverbs 13 vs 22 "A GOOD person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children"
A GOOD person.....Hmm sounds like these "leaders" are using the trickery of the Serpent and aiding the enemy in STEALING from the people. The enemy comes to only STEAL, KILL and DESTROY.
Driven by GREED, The LOVE of MONEY!!!
BY THE FRUITS YOU SHALL KNOW THEM. They have shown bad fruits and bad judgements for a LONG TIME. Wake up you slumbering sheep!!!
How about the truly wealthy - millionaire LCG leaders - what are they going to do with their millions they have wrung from poor people?
ReplyDeleteEvery young person in the COGs , who feels the neccessity to "tithe", should simply buy a $500k annual renewable term life insurance policy naming their favorite COG as the beneficiary. The cost will likely be in the $40 a month range, and you can then feel like you "did your duty" and fulfilled your indulgence to the church.
ReplyDeleteThe Kansas City LCG minister instructed the congregation during Sabbath services some years ago that we were not permitted to give any money directly to local brethren for helping them with FOT expenses, and that instead we must send any such funds to HQ so they can decide who should receive the money.
ReplyDeleteThis was actually instructed in every LCG congregation. They remind people every year around Feast time to not give money directly to brethren, give it to them and they will decide how to use it "where it is most needed". They say this applies any time of the year actually, best to give them the money and not to any member of your congregation who may be in need.
DeleteAnd they also repeat often that you should not give money to charity, you should only give to the church. Because we are not here to fix this world, we are only here to give the Ezekiel warning to the "israelitish people", all funds must go towards that.
I often wonder, how were we so stupid to not see it sooner?
The UCG United News had a series of articles in the past couple of years on "financial stewardship." As in preparing to give to UCG in your estate.
ReplyDeleteThe latest issue suggests "donating appreciated stock instead of cash" in year-end tax planning. So the membership must have some.
Just before his death, didn't Rod Meredith encourage his members to sent in their "excess wealth" for the yearly "one last push?" So now, like vultures, they want to pick the bones of their victims.
ReplyDeleteWhy desire a spiritual reward, when you focus on the birthright physical blessings?
ReplyDeleteHowz come when WCG died or when RCG dies, they didn't or don't will all the resources left to the surviving members?
ReplyDeleteLCG is despicable!
ReplyDeleteThey deceive people with their teachings on needing to qualify for the Kingdom.
LCG continuously rants about how the people are not doing enough and are on the verge of losing their salvation.
LCG keeps the Lake of Fire threat just a sin away, or eminent upon one failure to respond to an official LCG request for money.
Then they tell their scared, abused, elderly members that there are spiritual benefits to be had by those who bequeath their estates to LCG!
This is spiritual abuse and a financial scam against the vulnerable elderly!
The connection between keeping the people fearful and greedily bilking them of the maximum amount of money possible is the primary reason LCG has not/will not preach that salvation is a grace gift and the righteousness of Jesus makes us righteous before God!
Prayer for the abused people of the LCG:
ReplyDeleteHoly God of Grace and Mercy: we pray Romans 5:1 over the scared and abused people, that they may know Jesus has justified them, to make them at peace with you today and forevermore.
Thank you God for your generous, abundant provision of grace to serve the abused people’s needs for redemption and righteousness (Romans 5:17)!
Thank you for your great love and rich mercy that brings us today to eternal salvation, secure in your grace (Ephesians 2:4-5)!
We pray that your grace soothe the hurting and the deceived, through the holy name of Jesus, our perfect Savior!
Wonderful caring prayer. I’ll comment with Rom. 8:1 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Delete"...a booklet with instructions on how to put LCG in your will and encourages people to do so. It is not available on the LCG website" - this is a lie. That booklet is, and has been, on the LCG website since it was first published years ago.
ReplyDeleteAlso, 3rd Year Tithe is not for the Feast, that is 2nd Tithe, genius
Your "LCG source" is a fake, and a liar. No one who actually attends LCG could get their facts so wrong.
Many nonprofits, including Churches, publish planned giving literature like this. If you have a problem with that, grow up.
Response from the source of this article:
DeleteUnfortunately, I am no fake, I am no liar. I wish I was, because that would mean I wouldn't have wasted so many years of my life living a lie.
I am guessing you yourself are a an active LCG member, it wouldn't even suprise me if you were a minister or deacon. Hence the defensiveness of the indefensible and the tone you use.
It is true that this booklet is available in the LCG members section of the website. Not accessible in the main section along with the rest of the booklets though.
In past months the ministers in my area were actively pushing this booklet on members and claimed that it was only for members or "coworkers", it doesn't even show up when you search for it on the search menu on lcg.org. Hence why I thought it wasn't on the website.
Regarding the tithes: 2nd tithe is the tithe members save to go to the Feast.
3rd tithe is saved every 3 years by members with the purpose of helping the poor, this 3rd tithe has been said to be used amongst other things to help people of low financial means attend the feast. Yet it is my experience that nobody gets any financial help from the church for the Feast of for any other reason.
And it is true that they have said that it is appropriate to use 3rd tithe "for the levites" (aka ministers)
It is quite possible that LCG isn't the only church that pushes planned giving, but that still doesn't make it acceptable to do so. The wording itself in this booklet is appalling, if you cannot see that I truly am sorry for you.
This comment I am responding to is a perfect example of many LCG members, sarcastic, no issue with using insults and not a hint of compassion or that Christian love they speak of. Their God frowns upon people grocery shopping on Saturday but he is fine with them insulting and demeaning others as long as they do it to defend him.
Their sense of superiority for being "the chosen ones" blinds them to their own behavior.
My heart truly goes out to them, because I was once deceived too. I hope they all can come to understand the actual "truth" some day and be free from the slavery they live in.
Even my true believer parents aren’t including LCG in their will. They see this for what it is.

ReplyDelete"Their sense of superiority for being "the chosen ones" blinds them to their own behavior."
That blindness is why they truly cannot have the mind of Christ.
Phil. 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in LOWLINESS IN MIND let each esteem others better than himself.
