Philadelphia Church of God, Edstone England, Financial Statements - "Where is the money actually going?"

From a Philadelphia Church of God source:

In the UK all charitable organizations must file a public document reporting their accounts for each year with the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
This report only itemizes the income and accounts for the PCG UK (Registration #05314410]. The most current report is for the year ending Dec 31 2020 but it also lists all the financial information for the previous year 2019. While the entire 24 page report is intriguing and definitely worth a read, a few items jumped right off the page.

“Expenditures on Charitable Activities”

On page 21 of this report is a list totaling the expenditures for the year. One line item dwarfs all the rest. One might assume it has something to do with giving or some charitable activity. But one would be WRONG!!! A whopping £473,520 ($565,735) in 2020 and £525,287 ($631,893) in 2019, this massive line item is titled Ministerial Travel!  They must have a large ministry to send all over Europe…… Nope, just 3 ministers! To boot there are approximately 7 tiny congregations one being Edstone! Wait it gets better…… How do 3 ministers spend £473,520 ($565,735)  on “traveling” when travel was completely restricted for most of 2020 due to COVID-19? This is a ludicrous amount even when they can travel!  Most European airfare, round trip can be purchased for £100. What type of ultra luxury accommodations are these “servants of Christ” staying in? Where and what are they dining on?
While the PCG will probably claim that these exorbitant costs are associated with the “Flurry Jet” that simply doesn’t make sense.  Why would you infuse cash into the UK to balance the books to turn around and pay the PCG USA for a Jet that might have been used once in the UK for all of 2020?

Publishing, advertising campaigns, and distribution of literature in ten languages.

True to cult form The PCG tries to exaggerate their impact by using percentages instead of actual numbers. For instance under this section (see attached document) they boast “Literature requests in French were 9.5 times higher” “German literature request were four times as high and downloads increased by 25%” why, if they are having such an amazing growth and impact wouldn’t you produce actual numbers? One might ask 9.5 times higher then what? Four times more then??? 25% increase from what? If the PCG was having such an impact and reaching vast numbers of people through downloads and literature, the actual numbers would be published. Just as they did in the next sentence for the amount of propaganda articles they published FYI 983. This is because their people sit in their seats and are trained not to think or ask these questions, just blindly trust and believe the “government”

“Rendering of Charitable Works under  the Benevolence Program”

This subsection is laughable! Here is where the cult can’t hide behinds words: Let’s just see how much benevolence is flowing out of the PCG! Under the financial review section the PCG UK claims to have a total income of £986,353 with a “charitable” expenditures of £897,517 leaving a surplus of £88,835. This is only possible with a infusion of cash from the PCG USA and PCG AUS of £333,425. With that background, now let’s go back to the “love” the PCG claims to show.

Page 21 and 22 have line items showing how much 3T Assistance AND FOT assistance was distributed (no where does it show how much was collected which is another interesting omission) the total for 2020 drumroll please ……. £2,845 and in 2019 it was £ 1,114!  I double checked, I didn’t for get a zero or two!  That’s it!  So now let’s use the percentages this cult loves to throw around, to determine the total amount of love that flowed out of the PCG to its membership .0028% in 2020 yep less the 3 hundred thousandth of a percent of the PCG UK income that flowed back to its people in true love! So they demand their people pay their 3T and they claim that it all goes to help those in the church in need. But when they have to open the books it shows a completely different picture. To summarise Ministerial travel (in a time of no travel) was £473,520 and total love distributed to help it’s membership  £ 2,845.   Where is the money actually going?

Littlest Prophet Buys New Set Decorations And Then Asks Us If He Is The 21st Century Elijah

The Church of God's littlest prophet, the Great Bwana to Africa and 150 Caucasians and the first Native American Germanic Gentile, has apparently taken the hints offered here and bought himself a new set decoration. No expense was spared!

Let's just say the new decoration isn't much better than his faded-out curtains and crooked bookcases. The Great Bwana needs to ask the local high school theatre department and have them design him a halfway decent set. Buy a stretcher frame and stretch the banner on it so no one sees all the wrinkles and folds. Also, close the damn curtains so the sunlight doesn't bleed in highlighting the edge of the curtains that aren't draped properly.

A bigger chair would also work so that the little prophet would look bigger than he is. Seriously dude, when your shoulders and head are just a few inches above the window sill frame there is an issue! Would a real Elijah ever do such a thing? I do like the blue halo effect over your head, it gives the impression you are electrifying when you are not.

Anyway, the Great Bwana to Africa and the only Native American Germanic Gentile ever to lead the true church in human history, has a question for us to answer. Is he, the Bob, the 21st Century Elijah, and/or one of the two witless witnesses? I know it is a struggle to answer that, but could someone please help him! Bob won't listen to me.

21st Century Elijah
Was John the Baptist the prophesied Elijah or at least a type of Elijah? Is there an Elijah to come? Have Sabbatarians been teaching this a long time? What were 18 truths that Herbert W. Armstrong said God had him restore? Was anything to be restored in the last days, consistent with Daniel 12:4 and Matthew 17:11? Was God supposed to restore dreams and prophets in the last days? Did the Worldwide Church of God teach such would happen again? Have we seen signs of Acts 2:17-18 in the Continuing Church of God? Is Bob Thiel the final Elijah or one of the two witnesses? Why or why not? Has there been the restoration of important truths in the CCOG? Is the CCOG at least setting the foundation for the 21st century Elijah? Dr. Thiel gives information relating to all of that in this sermon.

RCG's Bradford Schleifer: Enabler-in-Chief (Part 2) “Fudging The Numbers”

Enabler-in-Chief (Part 2)

“Fudging The Numbers”

On June 24, 2022, a Friday-night Bible Study titled, “Your Work and The Work,” was delivered by Enabler-in-Chief Bradford G. Schleifer who is also “the last evangelist” in The Restored Church of God.

I knew about this Bible Study but purposefully held off listening to it for a while. I was dreading the idea of finding anything relevant to write about.

For the first 23.5-minutes, it was a standard message. He was setting up the premise by layering thoughts and scriptures like all the speakers do.

But then…dammit…the topic of the recent ordinations during the 2022 Ministerial Conference was introduced. Some of the numbers and how they were presented caught my attention.

@ 24:02 “…how’s this for an amazing statistic? We had seven ordinations and two appointments on the last day of the Conference…48-hours later in effect, on the Sabbath we had eleven. So, eighteen raises in rank or those being ordained and then two appointments. So, you can say twenty totalYou know what the most we’ve ever had in one year in Restored?...Eleven. So, in one day we had as many as what we’ve typically or most we’ve ever had in one year. That is the growth that God’s church is seeing.”

Except, that is not growth at all. That is RCG manipulation in full effect. That is verbal sleight of hand. That is a way to present facts and twist them to say what they do not. That is a way to fudge the numbers into your favor.

That is BGS telling a little BS.

Brad is a science guy, so he will get a chuckle when he reads the math below.

Warning. Math ahead. Proceed with caution!

He wants you to SUBTRACT 11 from 20 to get to +9. That is 9 more ordinations this year beyond the highest 11 ever recorded in RCG history.

20 – 11 = 9

(20 ordinations that week) minus (11, the most in one year) equals a net gain of 9 over the previous highest record.

Wow, that is amazing. EXCEPT…

During the “Ordination Comments” video, David C. Pack said:

@ 0:44 “We have not had any ordinations for several years. I asked Mr. Schleifer to give me a kind of a rundown. I forgot that we did have one in April in Africa…so, there was an exception, but the last time before that was three years ago.

Uh oh. Brad bases his spin on the numbers off of one year, but Dave confirms it has actually been three years. Why does this matter? Try scheduling out your car payments over three years instead of one and see if that makes a budgetary difference.

The math adjustment changes Brad’s “amazing statistic” dramatically. We now need to DIVIDE by three years before you SUBTRACT the previous highest.

(20 ÷ 3) – 11 = -4.3

(20 ordinations that week, divided by 3 years instead of 1) minus (11, the most in one year) equals a net loss of 4.3 over the highest record.

RCG is -4.3 in 2022 against “the highest ministerial growth” and not +9 as Brad explained.

I apologize if that hurt your brain. It can be confusing and that is the point.

A listener will grasp and retain what they can understand. A street magician will confuse you visually. The RCG “ministers” confuse you verbally.

If your resilience has been worn down by endless doctrinal shifts, you no longer retain the same mental strength to absorb every fact and make a spiritual judgment. You are so bombarded by biblical propaganda that you just let it flow through you and accept what you hear.

“This is God’s apostle and evangelist and ministers, after all. We have to trust that they are teaching the truth. We have to trust God’s government.”

As a member, you become numb to what is being thrown at you. You experience prophetic fatigue. You stay in the chair because it hurts your head too much to try to retain or even understand what is being poured on you week after week. Not only by Dave or his Enabler-in-Chief, but by other trusted men like Ed and Jaco and Ken.

“They all say it, so if there’s any doubt or confusion, it’s my fault. They keep telling us Mr. Pack is the real deal and they agree with his teachings, so I should, too.”

Bradford G. Schleifer gave numbers skewing the perspective of growth in the RCG ministry, knowing full-well he was doing it.

When you factor in what Dave said about holding off ordinations for three years, it shows that Brad actually exposed the shrinkage of RCG instead.

[Note: If I wanted to further scramble your brain, I would have added (+1) for April’s African ordination, but then remove (-2) for ministerial assistant appointments which do not count as ordinations. I’m leaving the numbers as Brad presented so that even the negative math results in his favor.]

I can already hear The Sundown Kid’s words in my ear, “Dude, who gives a shit about math?”

I do. This is an example of the spin and manipulation you do not always see while inside RCG. You simply accept what the “ministers” tell you at face value and move on. Only those who slow down and examine words, only those who fact-check afterwards in the spirit of “prove all things,” will see this.

It is exhausting to listen carefully and think on what you are actually hearing. It can be a mental work-out to ask yourself, “What is he really saying and is it true?” The people still inside The Restored Church of God are not lazy or weak. They are a people who have been worn down over time. Shifting into Neutral and letting the vehicle coast is far easier than going up hill in Second gear.

If Brad can get you to “look over here” and then pull an ace from behind your ear while using numbers…just how skilled do you think he is when it comes to Bible verses?

It is unfortunate that Feast Damage Control sermons cannot be quoted. Those types of messages that act as the P.M. Service “cleanup duty” are not produced or distributed after the fact. Who wants to be reminded that Jesus Christ and/or The Father did not come on The Last Great Day again? How edifying is a sermon that focuses on addressing your disappointment and lack of faith in the face of prophetic fraud?

The only people who can attest to those messages had to be in the room when it was given.

In the later half of this recent Friday night message, the proof of “the fruits” were listed. Baptisms. Church Inquiries. Ordinations.

@ 53:44 “Well, we’ve had more baptisms every year for the last five years than we had the previous year. So, that number keeps getting bigger and bigger.”

Notice how no actual number was given. Not even a percentage. Being the “information skeptic” that I have become, it occurred to me that even a +1 could be spoken about as growth. For example, let’s just say for illustrative purposes that 100 people were baptized in 2017.

         In 2018 there were 101.

         In 2019 there were 102.

         In 2020 there were 103.

         In 2021 there were 104.

Brad could still say the church has grown every year consistently for the past few years and it would be factually correct. But if you were a member of The Restored Church of God, would you get excited about a 1% growth rate? Would you be happy with a 1% raise?

Knowing that he can fudge the numbers with ordinations, how can we assume that any other “fact” would be free from fudge? Mmmm…fudge.

The next point of “church fruit” was in regards to Church Inquires:

@ 54:04 “We’ve seen our Church Inquiries grow ’21 over ’20. And we’re currently projected with what we’re seeing right now to beat last year by about 35 percent.”

That sounds like a very good projected number. Bravo. Which raises the first question about baptism numbers from plain text to bold. Why not also give a percentage about baptisms?

When giving a speech, I would opt to leave out a number if it were so insignificant as to not be relevant to the topic. But that is just me…an “information skeptic” who also happens to be an antichrist. Take any of these observations with that grain of salt.

Church Inquiries is also a tricky thing. The percentage of follow-through from contacting the church to actually attending is known to be “very low.” The numbers do not always translate together. It’s not like 500 CIs makes 5 attendees so that 5000 CIs makes 50 attendees. It is not cut and dry. Everyone who has touched this part of the RCG machine knows it is wildly variable.

So in reality, the whole CI 35% may look good on paper, but that is a mirage marker of growth.

If it were true that The Restored Church of God’s attendance was growing at a rate anywhere near 35%, Dave would be crowing about it from the rooftop of the Hall of Administration with a bullhorn. They would hear about it in the Giant Eagle parking lot. Dave would not be able to shut up about it.

The fact that “big growth” numbers are not being trumpeted tells me the real numbers of new attendees and baptisms are not nearly as rosy as Brad tries to present. (That is inductive reasoning on my part. I admit that. This is a judgment call based upon the pattern of history.)

One part of the process not mentioned was Church Invites. How many people were invited to attend in the last twelve months? We do not know because he did not say. If it were good news, that would have been mentioned. Or you could argue that this is confidential information that is so awesome, it should not be “leaked” publicly, so he opted to keep it a secret. Uh…yeah right.

Sometimes the RCG manipulation is not only what you hear, but what you do not hear.

After the 2020 Feast of Tabernacles, Headquarters became nearly “lock-down” status. A skeleton crew conducted Sabbath services for video production. COVID-19 recommendations were taken more seriously than ever before.

I will never forget this. Bradford G. Schleifer goes up to the lectern and tells us, “Mr. and Mrs. Pack are fine. They’re staying home today like most of you brethren are, watching this over the live stream.”

I knew in that moment that David C. Pack had COVID. Not because of what Brad said, but what he did not say. The Enabler-in-Chief at work, doing his verbal magic.

Weeks later, Dave announced he had COVID-19, but it was part of a prophetic fulfillment by being a “type of Ezekiel” who was “shut up in his house.” He curiously did not remind people how he mocked those in LCG across the hall for wearing masks and not singing hymns. Those faithless dopes.

Surely, Dave instructed Brad to not say anything. He had to figure out a way to obey that directive, but also not lie. “Just say we’re fine, Brad.” I would like to know how that all went down.

That is also something for me to ask Brad about over a beer some day.

Bradford G. Schleifer is really good at slipping things past you, getting you to think one way when reality is another. Listen carefully to any message he gives that draws parallels to “the prophecy series,” or concepts about tests of faith or doubt or authority of God’s ministers, or even a flat mention of Dave by name. The subtlety of the RCG manipulation is there if you have ears to hear it.

Brad is a very sharp guy. He knew what he was doing with those ordination numbers. He knew about the three years. He knew about getting to a round twenty in comparison to eleven. He knew how to approach “growth” about baptisms without giving a number. He knew the Church Inquiry percentage would sound impressive, though it is smoke. He knew to stay away from Church Invites or attendance numbers.

Brad knew all of that and said it anyway.

Just like Dave would want. Just like Dave would do.

David C. Pack claims he is both an apostle and a prophet. History has proven that to be false. Yes, Bradford G. Schleifer is The Enabler-in-Chief, but is he also really an evangelist? That will be addressed in Part 3.

United Church of God Pastors Retreat and Summer Camp For Teens Shut Down Due To Rampant COVID Infections

COVID infections hit over half of the pastors at a pastors retreat and half of the campers at Camp Pinecrest were infected. I am shocked they did not declare this the work of Satan.

July 7, 2022

Both teen and pre-teen camps have been held, and a retreat was held for the pastors in the Northwest region.

While the first camps of the year were successful and a joy for everyone, COVID-19 has “reared its head” and was disruptive at our Northwest pastoral retreat, where more than half of those who attended came down with COVID-19 (all cases were comparatively mild and everyone is recovering well), and at Camp Pinecrest which began just this past Sunday.

Let me explain what has happened and why the decision was made to close Camp Pinecrest when a few campers came down with COVID-19.

The staff did their very best to ensure no one had COVID-19 upon arrival at camp. But, despite following many protocols, the virus showed up just two days into the camp.

Without going into unnecessary detail, suffice it to say that no one should ever question our love and desire to serve and provide for our children in the United Church of God. In fact, it is the safety of our children that has always been the number one principle stressed going back to the inception of the United Church of God and the United Youth Camps program in 1995.

You may recall that we had an outbreak of COVID-19 at Pinecrest last year, and we did our best to plan in advance for that possibility this year, coming up with an extensive plan and policy developed with input from the Council of Elders, administration and the camp directors in an attempt to minimize the spread of COVID-19 at future camps.

The reason we needed to close Pinecrest this year is because we are bound to follow the current COVID-19 plan and policy that is in place. And here is the directive from the plan that led to the very difficult decision that had to be made to shut down Pinecrest when we did:

CAMP SHUTDOWN DIRECTIVE & CONTAINMENT PLAN: If a COVID test is positive, or other highly infectious disease is found at camp, the sick camper or staffer must be kept isolated and sent home as soon as reasonably convenient—the sooner the better. The Camp Director must both call and email the parent of this situation. If it is demonstrated that the sick camper or staffer was around only a small identifiable group, then that exposed group must be immediately isolated and tested. If any camper or staff in that group also tests positive, closure of the camp is to be considered after consultation with the Camp Director, the Camp Nurse, the overall UYC coordinator, the MMS director and, if possible, a consulting MD.

However, if a member outside that small group also tests positive for COVID, or any other similar infectious disease, it is to be presumed that there has been a widespread exposure to the contagion and the camp must be closed (shut down) and all campers and staff sent home. IN ADDITION if a person has generally mingled with other campers and staff (prior to isolation, testing and identified as having COVID, or another infectious disease), then that camp must be immediately closed down and all campers and staff sent home.

All parents of campers must be notified by a phone call and/or an email that a COVID case (or other infectious disease) has arisen at camp and directed to pick-up their child as soon as possible. Parents will be advised to quarantine that child and have him/her tested upon arrival home.

The evening before a camper at Pinecrest tested positive for COVID-19, a camp dance was held. There was, of course, significant interaction then, not to mention all the group meals, Christian Living classes and camp activities that are scheduled every day. Clearly the infected person “generally mingled with other campers.” Also, an additional person tested positive for the virus in the same dorm as the infected camper.

Based on our very recent experience at the pastoral retreat in the northwest, there was concern that many more would be infected with the virus and that the prudent and right thing to do under the circumstances was to comply with established policy in an effort to minimize the spread and its impact on our campers, staff, families, and even local churches.

Knowing how much our teens love camp and how much we love to provide camp for them, this was a difficult decision to make from every perspective. But we had a plan in place that all agreed upon, and we had to follow it.

Given the current condition of COVID-19 infection, which seems to be milder than last year, we will be discussing this policy with camp directors and administration during the upcoming week to determine whether revisions are necessary. We will communicate with parents and staff once those discussions are held and any decisions are made.

We are so very sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment that the closure of Camp Pinecrest has caused. Please be assured we will be reviewing everything in order to prevent, to the best of our ability, such inconveniences in the future.

Please keep all of God’s people in your prayers. He is our Guide, Shield, Protector and Sustainer. Ask Him to watch over every gathering of His people, including every camp, and to shield us from this virus and any other sickness or problem that might affect our gatherings.

And please keep the families and local congregations that have lost pastors, elders, and loved ones in your prayers. Our God is the “God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

Take care, brethren, and have a restful, inspiring and uplifting Sabbath!

LCG: Prospective Member Tells How LCG Treated Him After He Asked A Question

The Living Church of God is the epitome of brotherly Philadelphian love at its finest!  That love is so potent and Christ-like that they love to share it with prospective members.

Living Church of God Is Corrupt:
July 4, 2022

I used to think that the LCG was a church that could be the genuine article and wanted to know more about them. I contacted them in [city removed] and told them I’d seen their Sunday programs on the local TV and wanted to know more about them.

To cut a long story short, I was sent various literature about the Sabbath, God’s Holy Days etc, and was sent DVD’s in job lots of about 5 or 6 every now and then which were sermons by the then Rod Meredith.

When I contacted them one day by phone in [city removed] and told them I could not see why tithes were still enforceable, my DVDs never came anymore. When I phoned later to inquire about why the DVDs were not coming anymore, I received a very chilly response and learnt it was because of my attitude to tithing.

This immediately told me that money is their god so the elders and other high ups can live the easy good life at the expense of their members.

I’m so thankful that my questioning them about why tithes are still in force saved me from an horrendous mistake in joining the LCG.

My advice is keep well away from this corrupt “church.” They are not the genuine article at all. –B. T.   Exit and Support Network

LCG: Satan's deceptive influence is leading LCG members astray

 FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN TIME!

Satan's deceptive force is leading LCG members astray!!!!

Here we go again, boys and girls! LCG members are getting smacked down yet again for letting Satan influence them and leading them off course. After all, Satan is the most powerful god in the COG, way more powerful than God himself who cannot keep people on track. Since they deny the Holy Spirit, it is no wonder there are so many problems.

Christianity has always known that a Christian's destiny is in Christ and to be like him, not to be some god or goddess ruling over planets or kingdoms with rods of iron as COG myths teach.

In Romans 8:28-29, Paul says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”

Paul also says that every believer’s destiny is to sonship and to be holy and without fault in our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Ephesians 1:4-5, Paul states: “Just as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.”

Paul also states that our responsibility is to fulfill our call to holiness. Ephesians 2:10, that we are created in Christ Jesus so that we can do the things which God has pre-planned.

Okey dokey, that is pretty plain, but then there is the Living Church of God who is more concerned about being kings and priests and gods and goddesses ruling in a magical kingdom to come than it is teaching the world about Christ and the works that were accomplished through him. No magical kingdom will exist without knowing that first. But, this is the COG after all, and it is more important to be a future god than it is dwelling in a relationship with Christ or even God himself.  How can anyone be prepared to be a priest or teacher when they are never taught about Christ?

Stay Focused on Our Mission: The lessons of history show that mankind and God’s Chosen People have drifted off course again and again due to Satan’s deceptive influence. Adam and Eve made wrong choices that sent the course of human history off in a wrong direction (Genesis 3). Ancient Israel turned from God and suffered consequences—and modern Israelite nations are heading down the same path. Jesus called disciples and raised up His Church to preach the Gospel of the coming Kingdom of God (Mark 1:14–15; 16:15), to warn the world of the consequences of sin (Isaiah 58:1), and to announce events that would indicate His return was near (Matthew 24). The mission of God’s Church is also to prepare a people to rule with Jesus Christ as kings, priests, and teachers in His coming Kingdom (Luke 1:17; Revelation 5:10; Isaiah 30:20–21). To qualify for this challenging and exciting reward, we must avoid being distracted by the trials and temptations of this world (Matthew 13:18–23) and remain faithful and focused on our calling and our God- given mission (Matthew 24:13; Revelation 3:8–12; 17:14).

Have a profitable Sabbath,

RCG's Enabler-in-Chief Bradford Schleifer - Pillow Talk

Enabler-in-Chief (Part 1)

“Pillow Talk”

I wanted to keep the names of other “ministers” out of the articles written here and solely focus on David C. Pack because he is the captain of the Restored Church of God ship.

He is the master architect of the prophetic disaster still tumbling down the hill. He is also the one who trains men to act counter to their conscience by possessing an uncanny knack for wearing a human being down. Dave is like sandpaper for your brain.

Spend enough time with him, not only will you start to see things the way he does, but you will also begin to anticipate how to speak and act the way he would want.

Men lose themselves when in close proximity to David C. Pack. His distorted reality is infectious. Those who left were damaged by this process and are still trying to heal.

But even with all of Dave’s “authority,” he does not operate in a vacuum. There are a group of men at Headquarters who continually surround him with pillows to keep him pacified and reassured. They “enable” him to continue.

The biggest pillow in The Restored Church of God is held by Bradford G. Schleifer. He is the only “evangelist” in the organization and thus, has more power and influence than anyone else there.

Dave is #1. Brad is #2.

Much of what Dave does is filtered through Brad. He will sit in Brad’s office to bounce ideas off of him. He calls Brad late at night to share some new “exciting” discovery. He pulls Brad into the kitchen during Sabbath Services to talk about…whatever. Brad is at Dave’s beck and call.

However, Bradford G. Schleifer is really the one running The Restored Church of God at an organizational level. All at Dave’s behest, of course. Brad handles the day-to-day operations and knows about everything that is going on. He then filters it back to Dave in bite-sized pieces. (Dave has a hard time absorbing details or long sentences.)

Think of it this way:

·      Dave’s Mouth  Brad  The ministers, the church, everything and everyone else

·      Everything and everyone, the church, the ministers  Brad  Dave’s Ears

Why do I bring up Bradford G. Schleifer by name during this glorious month of Tammuz?

He is in the position that Kevin and Jeff had before they left. He is the one with the most opportunity to do something about the madness, yet does not. Though he knows full well the endless prophetic date-setting is madness. The Bible he reads every night says so.

Unlike Kevin and Jeff, Brad not only lets the RCG ship race towards the rocks, but he has chosen to pick up an oar and help speed it along.

Brad chose the role as Dave’s advocate and apologist years ago. He became The Enabler-in-Chief of The Restored Church of God by perpetuating the propaganda that David C. Pack is both an apostle and a prophet. His support for Dave is sprinkled throughout his messages. Sometimes with a feather. Sometimes with a pick-axe.

He is the one at Dave’s right hand, propping up his arms all day. Every day. I wonder if the poor guy ever really gets a full day off. Maybe a non-Dave day is as rare as a black moon.

He is also the man who is the most capable, due to intelligence and position, to dethrone Dave at the corporate level. He could be the man who rallies the troops on the third floor to topple the oppressive regime currently in power.

The Board of Directors could vote David C. Pack out of the corporation. Legally, it is possible. There are men at Headquarters who have the ability to do this. But will not. Not unless Brad steps up and takes a stand, that is.

Instead, Brad helps sustain the false narrative of how “on track” The Restored Church of God is by giving credibility to the prophetic fraud, despite passing nearly a dozen failed dates just this year.

He is also the first minister I ever witnessed to give a full “damage control” sermon right on the day of a prophetic mishap. A Damage Control Sermon is a message designed to thwart criticism or concern among the brethren when something Dave thundered fails to manifest. Usually, a date that comes and goes. But sometimes, it’s a prodding of brethren to swallow some new whopper of a doctrinal shift that leaves most uncomfortable. (The Father comes before Jesus Christ, for example.)

Brad is really good at this and it seems to come to him naturally.

Sadly, others have followed suit. I heard sermons given by Edward L. Winkfield and F. Jaco Viljoen who both tried to throw shade on any doubts about Dave’s validity as God’s apostle. Those men have also become biblical contortionists who “explain away” prophetic fraud by either reaffirming their surety that God is using Dave, or by regurgitating a false teaching Dave pushes upon the members.

The “ministers” at Headquarters follow Brad’s lead. Monkey see, monkey do.

Here is the RCG Cycle of Life Loop:

Brad Enables Dave  Others Enable Dave  Dave Continues Prophetic Fraud

                      Rinse and repeat.

If it were not for the continuous enabling by the men at Headquarters who are so eager to grasp that pillow and comfort Dave, he might actually close his mouth for a few weeks to reevaluate his prophetic brilliance. Or get excited about re-writing the all the outdated literature. Or clear the dust from the Media Center to do a brand new The World to Come. Or focus on preaching the gospel to the world as Jesus Christ instructed.

Naaaaaaaaah!

Bradford G. Schleifer is the Enabler-in-Chief at The Restored Church of God because he has chosen to seize that roll with both hands. He does it passionately. He does it enthusiastically. He is also the most adept at subtle manipulation.

Just how adept is he? That will be examined in Part 2.
