Where would the COG be without finding some event in the news as PROOF that we are in the end times?
This past week a software maintenance worker for the FAA uploaded an update that caused the system to crash and the grounding of flights around the country.
The ground stop and Federal Aviation Administration systems failures Wednesday morning that impacted thousands of flights across the U.S. appear to have been the result of a mistake that occurred during routine scheduled systems maintenance, according to a senior official briefed on the internal review.
An engineer “replaced one file with another,” the official said, not realizing the mistake was being made. As the systems began showing problems and ultimately failed, FAA staff feverishly tried to figure out what had gone wrong. The engineer who made the error did not realize what had happened.
“It was an honest mistake that cost the country millions,” the official said.
Of course, Weston, being the scaremonger he is took this as a complete breakdown of the system and a sure sign the end is near. Coupling that with the heavy rains in California and the unrest in Brazil (which is nothing new for Brazil and has been going on for decades) and the world is unraveling at the seams, more sure sign the end times are here. Weston is turning into another Bob Thiel.
Greetings from Charlotte,
In this week’s video update, I reported on Mr. and Mrs. Cristian Orrego’s planned trip to Guatemala, Mexico City, Tijuana, and La Paz in Baja California Sur. I also mentioned several other items, including a new initiative to begin translations into the Italian language. We are beginning to gear up for summer camps in the Northern Hemisphere by conducting meetings, having staff get certifications, and encouraging campers and staff to apply early for planning purposes. This week, all air traffic in the United States was grounded for several hours, the first time since 9/11, when some kind of computer problem occurred. It will take several days to work through the logjam. There is a report below on storms affecting the brethren in California. Please remember them in your prayers. Brazil saw thousands of disgruntled citizens storm Congress, the Supreme Court, and the Presidential Palace last Sunday. This kind of thing is not historically new for South America, but it demonstrates that our world is no more civilized than in the past and is one of many signs that we live in an unstable world.—Gerald Weston
It’s always the end times in the COG with doom and gloom soon coming but also a kingdom that’s just another 5.. 10.. 15.. 20.. 50.. 100 years off
ReplyDeleteWeston is having an LCG Feast of Tabernacles site in Arroyo Grande this year.
ReplyDeleteIs that a deliberate poke at the doubly blessed Prophet of Possiblys? Or will this tempt Bob to stay home from the Feast so he can try to poach LCG members who find Weston too dull?
Pretty much agree with his simple and short assessment. Don’t see the need to kick him in the teeth for this comment. ??
ReplyDelete1) Computer problems happen. It is surprising that they don't happen more frequently or cause more widespread damage.
ReplyDelete2) The storms are inconvenient, but they are postponing the effects of global climate change, and most likely saving California's collective ass.
3) Apparently, President Trump has exported his methodology to Brazil. Right wing extremists are all pretty much the same.
Just as an alcoholic can always find an excuse to drink, an Armstrongoholic can always find a sign of impending apocalypse. Thing is, such voicings used to make "the work" grow. Now, the viral repetition has caused them to lose their effectiveness.
I can't disagree with Weston's assessment but what is irritating is his stance: I know enough to tell you what's what, i.e. I'm rich and have need of nothing. Man you got a big surprise coming.
ReplyDeleteSadly, it does seem to be true that Weston is slowly becoming like Bob Thiel. I notice each time I hear him in services or in his weekly video update he sounds more and more extreme.
ReplyDeleteWasn’t their world unstable when Worldwide broke up?
ReplyDeleteHi 7:19:00 PM, can you give some examples of how Mr. Weston is becoming more extreme? I don't doubt it but I must be missing something here in LCG land.
ReplyDeleteOf all of the COG leaders, Gerald Weston is the only one that is stable and comes across as normal.
