Dave Pack: The Kingdom Will Be The Ultimate Supernatural Big Bed and Breakfast

Dave Pack's stupidity knows no boundaries.

You have a house. I have a house. God has a house—it’s called “the Temple”—but this is different. “In my Father’s residence.” These accommodations, if you want to think of it…This abode that He set up are many different mansions. It’s not talking about offices or positions. The word “mansions” means “a staying,” where to stay, and it can mean “residence,” “the place.” Now, let’s keep reading. This is fascinating…
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again…” (vs. 3).
So one of the things Christ is doing, based on how people are growing in the last generation, who rule first, He is getting ready for who lives where. He is going to tell us what we wear…It’s all taken care of. It will be the ultimate supernatural Bed and Breakfast, is really what it is, if you want to think of it that way. If you want to think of a five-star hotel, maybe you should think of a giant, 25-star hotel…that might be the best way to look at it…and that would be on people’s minds—but it wouldn’t be, if we were spirit.

  1. “You have a house. I have a house.”

CORRECTION: In the interest of accuracy, this should read: “You had a house. I have a house. Now I have your house too.”

  5. An article was by just published that counters much of Dennis Diehls 'forgiveness' post. It's called ""Why Punishing Criminals Can Be More Merciful Than ‘Rehabilitation’ by Ryan Hammill
    It's found at:

    http://thefederalist.com/2016/11/21/punishing-criminals-can-merciful-rehabilitation/

    Eg,:
“Mercy, detached from Justice, grows unmerciful,”
"Rather than promoting violence, “eye for an eye” restrains it."

Please excuse this being out of order, but people would miss it otherwise.

  6. ...theological circus......
I understand what is being conveyed here. Traditionally when a "circus came to town" it was an occasion of relaxation and laughter for townsfolk and farmers alike. What the leader of RCG has done is taking the truths and promises of the Creator and brought them down to level that is deplorable, degrading and worse! I agree with Dennis Diehl, this is going to end very, very badly!

  7. No, Connie, just Disney... because Ambassador College and Armstrongists have always seemed to find a way to pursue Disney entertainment.

You know, it used to be benign what with "Hi, ho, hi, ho, off to work we go" and other such drivel. Then came Aladdin, which, if you think about it goes against everything that Herbert Armstrong was trying to teach, followed by the Lion King, where the hierarchy of who eats whom paralleled what Armstrongist leaders do, it taught that attractive people are good, ugly people are bad: Witness the Beauty and the Beast. And those Disney princesses had real problems... just like the Armstrong royal family.

Ah, but now... Star Wars and the Marvel Character Universe. Is Thor a competing god? Just checking here. Thanos. Captain America. S.H.I.E.L.D. Mutants. Meta humans. Aliens. Dr. Strange and magic.

    Yup.

It's all that Armstrongism has yearned for (in secret).

And it will play for 1,000 years along with theme parks spread throughout the world.

Maybe Herbert Armstrong didn't leave much of a legacy, but the Mouse sure has.

  11. In 2015 Gerald Flurry banned smartphones for students at Imperial Academy and the unaccredited Herbert W. Armstrong College. This was mentioned in a recent article by Stephen Flurry.

    >>A teacher at our K-12 school, Imperial Academy, told me recently that many of his students fail to consistently turn in their daily homework assignments. That is alarming. Early last year, my father, who founded Imperial Academy and Armstrong College, found it necessary to ban smartphones for students at both schools. If you are a parent of an Imperial or Armstrong student, do you diligently enforce this ruling? Do you supervise your child’s Internet usage? (Stephen Flurry, God’s Interest in Our Young People, November 16, 2016.)<<

  12. Redfox, at Ambassador in the late 80s/early 90s they banned Sony Walkmans. Said students weren't paying attention while they walked the 17.4 miles between classroom buildings, and therefore might cause mishaps and traffic accidents. It never happened, but the COG mob bosses are never one to pass up a good ban.

  13. This ban is not surprising. Armstrongism has always been made possible by the unilateral and unidirectional control of information. A smart phone does many things. For one thing, as a powerful source of information, it acts as defacto artificial intelligence, simulating the raising of the human IQ. This would be bad if not outright devastating in an anti-intellectual setting. A smart phone is also an accountability tool. Imagine if one student or member had some sort of dispute with someone with an unfair advantage, such as the child of a minister. Having shot a video of the exchange would make it impossible for the administration to mete out their normal brand of justice. Also, recordings make it difficult to spin things which may have taken place. One can usually identify the party at fault, or liar from a brief video.

Yes. These would very much get in the way of business as usual in a controlled, toxic, cultic environment. If they want the group to continue intact, smart phones are definitely a no go. Just imagine how devastating a video of HWA drinking orange juice and coffee on the Day of Atonement might have been back in the day, if only Gary had had a smart phone! Or one of the AC coeds leaving her smart phone on "record" while in bed with GTA, he having used powerful undue influence in placing her in that situation. Or how about poor Dorothy having a smart phone back in the '30s or '40s, so we could listen in as HWA demanded "Who's your Daddy?". You just can't get away with pulling off something like Armstrongism with powerful tools such as the smart phone being so readily available and inexpensive. It's another reason why this religious system was very much time-related, and that time frame has clearly expired.

  14. So true, BB. We are no longer limited to radio and a wall mounted or table phone as our means of mass communication. Radio made the WCG phenomenon a reality. Especially in the Midwest, long winter nights were made less monotonous by radio. A lot of bored people got hooked that way. Now, people are on their smart phones, texting, Facebooking, etc. And, you can get anything that's on your computer right in the palm of your hand. Computers and the internet have changed life tremendously. The first thing I do in the morning is head for my computer to check my Facebook feed. And, I visit this site at least once a day.

  16. The truth is that Armstrongism never at all measured up to the ethical and moral standards it set for its members. This was so evident in the I-W program. It still exists today with the double standard: Those of the 1% have turned inward and are pursuing their own pleasures without regard for anyone else in the world including their membership. One example of this is the Irish Dancing down at the PCG: It's not for spreading the gospel, it's not to edify the membership, it's all about the selfish interests of those in the administration taking tithe money to pursue their own hubris.

  18. Allen,

I understand that your years are of high number.
I find it encouraging to see how/that you emply the smartphone.

Just a ray of sunshine on a dreary day.

Encouraged by your example of flexibility.

(nck pausing a moment from the usual ranting, temporarily emboldened by "trump spike" but will descent/return into the familiar cynic mode soon, don't worry)
