The reason why so many COG's still exist

  1. And with installing fear you can control their thoughts. Which in turn means you can control their behavior.
And with controlling their behavior, you can make them invest (time, money, effort) in your ‘church’. And the more they invest, the deeper they get involved. The deeper they get involved, the more money you as the cult leader (Flurry, Pack, Monson) will find in your bank account.

  2. Why can't all or most of the sheep rush at the dog in unison, so the dog is taken by surprise and can't bite them? Then the sheep will know that they can be in control.

    1. The dogs tell the sheep, on a daily basis, that dogs are dangerous and will bite. And that outside their field the dogs are even more dangerous. The fear paralyzed the sheep. And because the dogs only allow the sheep to read ‘Sheeple-magazines’ the sheep will never learn a simple truth: the dog will never bite them. And other dogs won’t do that either.

Control the information and you control their thoughts. Control the information and you can control the crowd.

It’s not something the COG leaders invented btw. Every dictator ever uses that principle. Even today there are countries that have no free access to the internet, no free press, no freedom of speech. The COG’s operate in the same way.

As a salesman and advertising guy HWA knew how controlling the crowd worked. He used that to his advantage. And given what happens in all the splinters, these COG leaders paid attention during the ‘Cultism 101’ masterclass..

Read everything you can get your hands on and not just what your ‘church’ tells you to read. It will free your mind. Because only when you have ALL the information you can make a rational decision instead of an emotional fear based decision.

Welcome back to ‘Cultism 101’. Grab a seat. Learn something and set your mind free!

  3. What about trust !!! The sheep learn to trust the good shepherd dog will get them into fresh pasture.

The glass always has to be half empty with you writers on here. All the woe and misery never the good times and the cold fact some of you lived a good life whilst under HWA reign.

Your view is based on a lack of information: the dog is NOT the shepherd. The dog is only a tool used by the shepherd.

Any COG leader will tell you the opposite. They want to be the ones in charge, with all the power (and money) that comes with it. They will never tell the sheep that they’re just sheepdogs that are working without a shepherd..

  4. it has been my observation that those members whose main interest is prophecy/end times are among the weakest of the membership....sometimes I wonder if they understand anything at all about what God wants/requires of us.

all they want to talk about is end times and destruction....when it comes to the particulars of obedience to God they don't seem to get it, nor do they seem to care......it's a lot like the protestants, they've been baptized so they're covered, no matter what, and showing up on saturday keeps them safe.

  5. The Pharisees and Sadducees seemed to co-exist among the Hebrew hoi polloi with little drama. The Pharisees were even in separate subsects (notably the Shammai and Hillel schools). The Essenes were the outsiders, not bothering anyone.
With dwindling numbers, the COGs will have two many sects and not enough members to go around.

Yes, I've found this among members with their own niche interests. And also among COG leaders, particularly when they spread themselves too thin over weightier matters.

I'm 3:46. Thank you for pointing out that sheep dogs are NOT shepherds. Wow who would have known that. Phew, now i can rest easy. Here was i thinking dogs owned farms and raised whole herds of sheep.

Why so hateful? Are you trapped in one of the COG’s? Struggling to get out? If not, why are you here?

  8. The problem is they have been told that the sheepdog has a more direct link to the Lord and if you have a problem with the dog then you have a problem with the Lord. So,the ratio of sheep to dogs doesn't matter. Listening to the Shepherd's voice is all you need to do. Read His words in red and see His actions. And see if He ever put someone between Himself and His people. Suffer the Children...no one was to be between He and these children either.

  9. Are we that stupid that lcg stated in a lecture over 5 years ago, that you are not to have a bible study without a minister present. Sure sounded like the dog was out to control us, and we're to stupid to learn on our own.

...and sometimes sarcasm is just a way of being sarcastic. Asking "Why are you here?" is another way to cover up hate!

    No, I am not 11:53am.

  11. "sheep band together and pretty much stay together when grazing etc. ... Sheep see the dog as a predator, or danger, so they band together for protection and move away from the danger." As said above, the dog is not the Shepherd who the sheep run Towards when the Shepherd calls.

  12. Even though I disagreed with 11:53’s earlier post (3:46), I can see why 7:54‘s use of the term “ignorance” was offensive.

  13. Where did 7:54 use the "term" ignorance? I see the phrase "lack of information" but not the "term" ignorance. There is a difference.
