Herbert Armstrong's Tangled Web of Corrupt Leaders

PCG: "This whole thing is a crock of nonsense from a power-mad leader and is only to keep the money flowing into their coffers."

Exit and Support Network has the following up about a sermon given by one of Gerald Flurry's minions. It is another speech about how to fleece the members of their money. God forbid if they ever talked about Jesus, grace, justification, sanctification, or any other New Covenant teaching. Instead, they bow down at the End Times Altar, the Money Altar, and the Holy Rock. Armstrongism gets crazier by the minute!

Dwight Falk Uses Clever Way to Increase Holy Day Offerings:
March 7, 2022

Dwight Falk, in his authoritarian and non-empathetic voice, gave a Sermonette: “Help Through Offerings” where he used a clever way to manipulate members into giving more money for their holy day offerings. He started off reading an email that he said they received from a lady in Canada who is a subscriber but not a member and read her words which said, “We really need our Prophet to speak on the Russian issue. Help, pastor Flurry!” He based his entire sermonette on this two sentence email and said this is how members’ holy day offerings help people like her (who are” crying out for help”) and that they (PCG) only have a “short time” before there is a famine of the Word. He quoted Jesus’ words in John 9:4 about working “before the night cometh” to insinuate PCG only had a short time left.

He also quoted Ezekiel 33:33: “And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them” to associate the words “prophet” and “among them” with GF. Even though GF takes upon himself the name “Ezekiel” as one of his many titles, Falk conveniently didn’t mention that even though the people in Ezekiel’s day would sit and listen to Ezekiel when he was prophesying about the fall of Jerusalem (which happened), it had no effect whatsoever on the people, as they didn’t heed what he said.

So what is GF going to get out of all this if America is destroyed? Only a smug satisfaction that “he was right”? Hoping people will say, “Oh, GF was a true prophet?” And where will GF be at this time? Hiding in an underground bunker somewhere? Overseas at Edstone? For certain, he won’t be in the place of safety in Adullam. Most will not even remember GF except his followers who would no doubt be in a panic. I think of Psalms 118:8: “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” This whole thing is a crock of nonsense from a power-mad leader and is only to keep the money flowing into their coffers. –Anonymous

  1. If this adventure by Putin does go belly up, it will be interesting to see the spin from Flurry and co.
For that is very much a probability, given the strength of the Ukrainian resistance and western sanctions and with the flow of arms to Ukraine.
My confidence in ‘that Prophet’ to provide a correct analysis of the present situation and it’s probable outcome is as great as my confidence in Dr Thiel’s ability to predict yesterdays weather.
I will throw a spinner in the works and wonder aloud if Putin has overstretched himself and that may lead to ultimately the dismemberment of the Russian federation?
Dangerous times unfortunately ahead and the ‘prophets’ are silent, they didn’t see this coming, did ya boys?

  2. Ah, so this is a foreshadowing of the way in which Armstrongite charlatans will rule their cities! A concerned lady asks for some insights on Ukraine, and one of Gerald's lackeys turns it into a commercial for offerings. Once again leaders of the PCG vent their intestines! It's getting mighty ripe in some of these ACOGs.

    Good one, Anon 1116!

Bob claims Russia will be taking at least another part is still to come, but he can't tell when.

  4. Money, Money, Money. That is what motivates these godless quacks. They don’t give a damn about the people. It’s always how can we get more money. Herbert used to write coworker letters saying the work was in deep financial distress and needed the members and coworkers to dig deep and make special offerings. Even borrow money from the bank. At the same time he would be shopping for art treasures for his home. These quacks live the life of luxury while asking members to live in poverty. Flurry is an egotistical little dictator.

  5. "Dwight Falk in his authoritarian ..voice."

I found most of these authoritarian voice speakers in the WWCG to be weak in the knowledge department. They are forceful when present, but weak in their writings.
These Mighty Mouses become Mickey Mouses when it comes to their articles and posts.

  6. Flurry and PCG shouldn't worry about "Famine of the Word".

Rather, they should worry about the ongoing decades long "Famine of Sanity" they have.

  7. I can't believe I had two friends that became ministers in this group. They must know better than this. Andy H? Andy L?

    Saddening.

    1. Andy hessong is no longer a minister! Lol he was fired. And is now living in Ohio so he can be close to his idol Brian Davis. 🤮And Andrew Locher if one of the several high on the chain who know very well that the entire “religion” is a farce. Don’t be fooled by Andy lochers false humility bit! 🙄

  8. I'd be interested in reading the entire email from this lady, I bet there was more to it than just 2 lines.

  9. 11:55 "I'd be interested in reading the entire email from this lady, I bet there was more to it than just 2 lines."

Are you truly that stupid? It's the entire letter. If you had any gumption you could have checked the link and read the same letter there. Armstrongism has to be one of the laziest religions ever created. Its followers rarely ever search for facts.

    1. The PCG did NOT post the entire letter from that lady, Dwight read a very small portion of it in his sermonette. I heard the sermonette, and we definitely not made privy to the entire letter. I can promise you that they did cherry pick what they wanted out if it. A letter from a crazy lady looking to a man to make sense of her world, if that even was the case. I wouldn’t surprise me one iota if they don’t manufacture their own fan mail.

  10. Look for "That False Prophet " to request special offerings and tithes to offset the increasing price of jet fuel. He will likely declare a "new revelation" that only has been revealed to himself regarding Putin and his attack on Ukraine. Too bad his record of failed prophecies and predictions is nearly abysmal.

    1. Kenneth Copeland and his fellow televangelists have jet planes, so why shouldn't Gerald Flurry have one? After all, it would be embarrassing to meet Kenneth Copeland, knowing that he has several planes while Gerald has non.
One must keep up with the neighbors.

  11. Short of declaring war on Russia, I don't know what we could do other than impose economic sanctions on Russia to make it difficult for Putin if he chooses not to modify his behavior. However, sanctions set a dangerous precedent which could be used against the USA in the future if our own mad man regains power in 2024. He certainly infuriated our allies in Europe during his first term, to the point that they had decided to bulk up their own militaries because they could no longer trust the US. There was well justified fear that he was actually going to withdraw us from NATO, an alliance which has largely prevented World War III.

It should be interesting to watch what happens within the ACOGs as fuel prices rise. Those who are already eating beans and getting their clothes from Goodwill may be forced to choose between money for gas to go to sabbath services or tithes and offerings.

  12. I hope he moved for his niece(s)/nephew{s) and not Davis. The Hessongs have been through the wringer in PCG. AH was sincere and diligent back in the day; maybe that is leading him to finally seeing PCG for the harmful organization that it is. Old friends can become new friends.
AL has had an easier row it seems; I'd like to think he would see carrying on the farce does not help anyone. Truth does. Some may think that they need to carry the farce on to avoid complete loss of faith in the PCG members, but focusing on gaining Christ rather than losing something should help.

Andrew Locher is one of the biggest shady liars in the organisation. He and I realise he is a pawn of GF, but he is so very manipulative when it comes to the finances. They lie and twist and hide the real stats from the members. He knows full well what he is a part of.

  15. Trump had his issues but Biden has obvious dementia and he dangled NATO membership to Ukraine a few years ago while Hunter was getting millions of dollars for doing nothing. Trump was bad, Biden and his Woke progressives are going to be worse. Lord help is all.

  17. Whoever the dick is, he singles out the named headliners for his heckling. The heat never bothered me, but the incessant heckling detracted from the real discussions going on. Going nomad has led to much more serious discussions of the issues I raise, and because I get a lot of credit in real time for the stuff I do in daily life, I'm really not fragile about the loss in identity in posting here as anonymous.

There are a lot of people who are very pissed off that we are so effective in neutralizing and repudiating their sacred cow, Armstrongism. And, they don't go after people clean. They go dirty in their attacks.

    1. Lies! Lies! Lies! It’s a facade they have to put on mostly to keep the members inside in, thinking they are part of a large impactful organisation. They have been manipulative for decades about their growth financially and membership wise.
Good for thought: if they were so blessed financially then why for their concert next Wednesday, a performance from their own choir, are they charging 35-55 a seat? When the whole narrative was to serve the community? Shouldn’t it be free? $35.00 - $55.00 a tickets! 🤣. Then they realised they didn’t sell any so they are having a BOGO sale. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️
