Dave Pack is celebrating 10 years of publishing his Real Truth magazine, a take off and imitation of the Plain Truth magazine. He imitates Herbert Armstrong in all things. He uses the same names or derivatives of names to be as close to HWA as possible since he did train at the very feet of Herbert Armstrong who personally taught him everything he knows.
Lots of lovely draped burgundy fabric
Now take a look at the 50th Anniversary issue of the Plain truth with the same background but only blue.
Just once I would like to see one of these idol worshipers come up with an original thought idea!

Since there's no such thing as unreal truth, Dave swung and missed before he even published an issue.
Set the tone for everything that followed...

"Since there's no such thing as unreal truth"
LOL Is that like "Giant Shrimp"? or "You MUST Relax!" ??

The Question to Ponder
"Does Dave Pack have and original thought in his head?"
No. Dave Pack is Copyogian and merely throws a switch in his head of a prerecorded Bible message.
He knows little or nothing of theology outside of the HWA/WCG Box and is not as educated about Bible origins, errors, writing styles and drama between the Chosen Apostles as he thinks.
Come on Dave...Debate me.. If you have the "Real Truth" you should be able to shut me down in just a few minutes.
I'm not kidding and it is not anything personal about you. Just sticking to the facts of the Bible or Science done well will be enough to keep it neutral.
If you are going to claim to have the truth of life and yet be unwilling to defend it, perhaps it's not as real as you portray it to be and you should stop taking money from people until you are more confident about it.
Let's have a chat about your "Real Truth" and reality in all things Bible.
While I am also no Theologian and I have no credentials in the field worth mentioning, my experience with your kind of Bible world view and our common background in ministry can be an interesting discussion for the very small number of humans who actually have been affected by that view.
Please give me some notice as I have ask off work, won't be paid to do this and have rent due at the end of every month... lol....oh and groceries.
You really want an original delusion?
Best we stick with what we know.
Be careful what you ask for.
Davey, prove British Israelism, I dare you -- be sure to use the latest DNA evidence.
Is red the new blue?

Perhaps in celebration, the Rubbish Cult of Goofs can go on a Feast Cruise this year.
We're pretty sure the Carnival Lines Triumph Luxury Liner will be ready to sail from their home port in Mobile, Alabama... uh, Galveston, Texas and we're pretty sure you can get some deep discounts and tickets from recent travelers.
Recent travelers can attest to the inspiration they got from their recent cruise:
Joseph and Cecilia Alvarez of San Antonio said some passengers passed the time by forming a Bible study group.
"It was awesome," he said. "It lifted up our souls and gave us hope that we would get back."
Yes, it could be the most awesome Feast yet! Count on the Power of God to get you home!
And maybe a few tug boats.
The Feast Boat,
Heading out from shore,
The Feast Boat,
How could you ask for more?
As an exciting a Feast as ever can be!
Will you get home? Just wait and see!
Hurricane season notwithstanding.
Oh, come on! Have faith! It will be fun!
I've never been able to get over that name, "The Real Truth," without chuckling and shaking my head. How stupid.
What, you're going to win people over by blaring that what you're publishing is the "real" truth? It's an arrogant way of introducing anybody to anything you have to say. "You're wrong, we're right. Now read this." Seriously, Pack-man shot himself in the foot from day one.
It's not even in the ballpark of "The Plain Truth," which at least implies clarity -- even if it was a misnomer for HWA's borrowed theology. (Of course, the title of HWAs' magazine was also borrowed, from Benjamin Franklin's pamphlet of the same name in 1747.)
Just as HWA had no original thoughts, so his lackeys have gone and done likewise.
Dennis, it would be great to see Dave debate you, but he'd be lost in that setting. He, Flurry, HWA, etc. can only function if they are declaring things, unquestioned. Shoot, at least GTA went on Ankerberg's show years ago and answered questions, right or wrong. But you question the huffers and puffers and you'd get nothing. They're impotent without their script, and their unquestioning, unthinking audiences.
"Real" Truth. Ha, ha, ha. Please.
even the apostle paul is said to have called it "the present truth" which I"m taking for my church mag lol
dennis
No, Dennis, The Present Truth is from the realm of Ronald Weinland and the PKG.
Advice: Check your 1040 VERY carefully!
By the way, do you offer cruises for your Feast?
Oh...bummer, I offer Carnivore Cruises...we eat meat / dd
It isn't just the Head Cheeses in Armstrong who don't have an original thought in their head, it's the ministurds as a whole and the entire assembly of wannabe israel who don't have an original thought up their collective asses. If HWA didn't say it, then they're not allowed to think it. Armstrongism is like a pool of stagnant water that grows more intellectually fetid by the day. That's the real stinkin' truth.
But dont ya know, Head Usher? Intellectualism is a LEAVEN. The LEAVEN of INTELLECTUALISM is what poisons the Church in this very day and age, and science is false! *sarcasm*
"Dave Pack: Does He Have An Original Thought In His Head?"
Yes, but you might not like it.
HWA was supposedly the Elijah who was to come and restore ALL things. However, David Pack has now seen that all the tithes, offerings, building fund donations, and fundraisers are simply not enough, and has introduced the idea of having "ALL THINGS COMMON" as he puts it. In actual practice it means having all things become David's.
The apostle Peter said, "Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit and have kept for yourself some of the money you received for the land? Didn't it belong to you before it was sold? And after it was sold, wasn't the money at your disposal?" (Acts 5:3-4, NIV).
In the Restored Scam it is somewhat different. David Pack flies into angry rages and greedily shouts at his followers to sell their property and send him all the money. Also, cash out any retirement savings plans and send him that too. No free will there.
The New Testament records that, "All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had....There were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales and put it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to anyone as he had need" (Acts 4:32-35, NIV).
Once again, in the Restored Scam it is somewhat different. David Pack does not distribute it to anyone as they have need, but rather uses it all for his own purposes, such as building auditoriums like the original apostles did not do.
In fact, while David Pack rants and raves about the need for people to pay third tithe so as to be doctrinally precise and not steal from God, it is doubtful that much of it actually gets used for its intended purpose of helping the poor, widows, orphans, etc. David Pack has other uses for it.
In David Pack's Cowardly New World his followers' giving is carefully monitored by computer, and his ministers can speak to anyone who has not tithed in a couple months.
The Restored Scam puts on a deceptive act of generosity with its supposedly "free literature" but then cuts off people who do not quickly get impressed to send in money. David Pack then flies into his usual angry, greedy rages and shouts about people stealing his church's literature.
Yes, sheeple, the real truth is that it really is all about money.
Something needs to be said about David Pack's OBVIOUS LIES, which are so bad that they could make one puke.
David Pack hates Roderick Meredith and continually whines and complains that Roderick Meredith was always trying to get him to give more money to the Global Church when he was in it in the past.
Now, rather than having learned any lesson about decency from that experience, David Pack wants EVERYTHING that his own followers have!!!
