David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God is a professional religious theorist. He spends all his time studying the Bible to be the first to discover new truths hidden since the dawn of time. Part of his delusion is believing that God is guiding him to see special knowledge that no other human being has ever known.

When normal people look up at the clouds, they might see animals and faces floating by. When David C. Pack looks up, he sees the divine revelation of Bible prophecy meant only for him to receive and communicate.

The pages of the Bible are like clouds to him, and The Greatest Untold Story! is his personal platform for sharing the ever-changing visions in the sky.

Pastor General David C. Pack is perpetually stricken with acute Jerusalem Syndrome. He believes God specially chose and trained him to lead His people into the Kingdom of God just over the horizon.

The debate whether or not this is true is already over. David C. Pack has never been right about anything he has taught about when the Kingdom of God and Jesus Christ would return. He never stops but just keeps pushing the date further into the calendar.

According to the Bible, you have one chance to be proven a true servant of God. David C. Pack repeatedly failed that test long ago, yet manages to keep his job because broken people in denial willingly pay to have him lie to them. Fraudulent doctrines are safe and familiar in The Restored Church of God.

A frequently submitted question is: Does David C. Pack know he is a false prophet?

My educated opinion is Yes and no. He is aware he lies but persists anyway because he lives in constant denial. He understands he would be a proven liar only if Jesus Christ never returned when he said he would, even on Attempt #203.

See, he was right all along. It just took a while to get there. That is the RCG philosophy.

David C. Pack must keep the prophecy game running. If he ever stops playing, the last spot landed on would be False Teacherville. At that point, even he would have to accept that he embodies everything the Bible warns about.

David C. Pack is much like Russell Crowe’s character in A Beautiful Mind. He is a specially gifted man who sees patterns nobody else can, and his remarkable talents are coveted by those in need.

As a kid, I enjoyed lying on the grass, looking up at the clouds. I would sometimes see shapes and figures, faces, and animals. But even as a child, I understood they were not real, and my mind only perceived them that way.

David C. Pack is an unfortunate soul who looks at clouds and sees God’s personal guidance. But really, it was just an elephant.

Pareidolia is the tendency for perception to impose a meaningful interpretation on a nebulous stimulus, usually visual, so that one sees an object, pattern, or meaning where there is none.

Pareidolia is a phenomenon wherein people perceive likenesses on random images—such as faces, animals, or objects on clouds and rock formations. It is not a clinical diagnosis, nor is it a disorder. The brain has a tendency to assign meaning wherever it can.

Patternicity: What It Means When You See Patterns

Apophenia is the perception of meaningful patterns in any unrelated information, including sounds, sights, or experiences. It includes the visual-specific phenomenon of pareidolia.

 

Apophenia and pareidolia are common occurrences… challenges often only present when someone becomes fixated on specific patterns or details that others perceive as random.

 

Seeing patterns in the world can be natural. But a fixation on patterns or assigning meaning where there is none may mean something more.

 

Problematic apophenia that interferes with your functionality or daily life may be due to more than an active learning process.

 

“There are a few mental health conditions that can be characterized by seeing excessive patterns, such as OCD, schizophrenia, and autism,” explains Dr. Harold Hong, a psychiatrist from Raleigh, North Carolina. “Still, it is crucial to note that not everyone who experiences these conditions will see extreme patterns.”

 

As a Type I cognitive error, apophenia may also appear alongside conditions that feature symptoms of psychosis, according to research from 2020 Trusted Source. This can include false beliefs and inaccurate sensory experiences.

 

Apophenia may also be the result of physiological brain abnormalities or damage that affects the areas of the brain responsible for learning.

Apophenia: Does Everything Happen For a Reason?

When apophenia becomes extreme, it may be a sign of psychosis. Psychosis is a mental state characterized by losing touch with reality. Psychosis is a symptom of several different mental illnesses, including bipolar disorder, severe depression, and schizophrenia.

 

The greatest concern with apophenia is that it can be a symptom of unfolding psychosis. Signs of psychosis may include:

 

·       False beliefs, such as believing that people on the internet or TV are trying to send you a hidden message

·       Hallucinations, which means seeing or hearing things that aren’t there

·       Paranoia

·       Withdrawing from friends and family

·       Having strange, nonsensical ideas

·       Not taking care of oneself or engaging in personal hygiene

·       Extreme changes in sleep patterns

·       Having trouble distinguishing fantasy from reality

·       Difficulty communicating, changes in speech patterns

·       Inability to function in everyday life

·       Trouble attending work or school

That is not Elijah floating overhead, Dave. It is just an elephant.

Part 492 may be delivered today, but be sure that more significant changes are afoot.

The brethren can now fully appreciate the critical magnitude of staying in The Restored Church of God. It would be terrifying to consider all they would have missed out on if they had left prematurely. After all, where else can they go?

That is the deceptive trap of The Restored Church of Another god. The Fear of Missing Out is not just for social media addicts. The brethren negotiate within themselves, “If I just hang on a little longer, then IT will happen.”

The IT never comes. David C. Pack changes his tune continually because he makes it up as he goes along. His ideas shift with the clouds. 

He will never be right. He can never be right. Or the Scriptures would be broken.

As a coping mechanism, many brethren no longer listen to his messages. They willfully skip him, knowing the picture will soon change again. Why bother believing or agreeing with anything that will be obsolete the next time you hear his voice?

Even the All-Believing Zealots are flummoxed when someone presses them to explain what they just heard. Sure, they will toot their Excitement Horns among each other and in their chat groups about “what Mr. Pack taught.” But they cannot explain it because nobody can.

Field brethren should not bother writing to their unpaid Faker Mollusks because they cannot explain it either. Even if they tried, the “understanding” changed again before they hit SEND.

 

David C. Pack sees Elijah when he looks in the mirror. He sees his own name printed on the pages of his Bible. He understands the Bible patterns nobody else was ever led to.

Electrifying clarity strikes David C. Pack when spontaneous understanding pops into his mind. Every idea is a revelation from God. Every theory is accurate. All his words can be trusted.

Standing on what David C. Pack says is like trying to stand on a cloud. The folly of such an endeavor is instantly realized when attempted.

The Restored Church of God is held together by illusion. The illusion that it is the One True Church. The illusion that David C. Pack is an apostle and God is revealing knowledge to him.

It is a temporary image in the clouds that anything is “on track” there. The vapor shifts in the shape of “all is well at Headquarters.” Gentle breezes manipulate moisture to manifest the "all the ministers agree" flag.

All that is an illusion of the mind trying to make sense of nonsense.

“God is leading Mr. Pack” is just a flat-out lie.

All this time, David C. Pack believed he was seeing Bible prophecy unfold in the clouds. As it turns out, it was just an elephant.

LCG's Germanophobia Continues Unabated

 

Those wild and crazy guys in Charlotte must spend hours a week investigating all they can find on Germany. In spite of all the embarrassing things their dead former leader spouted about Germany, todays leadership continue to double down on the fear laden messages of the past. Everything from Hitler being alive in South America to Germans building concentration camps in the United States in order to hang people up on meathooks before they are burned alive in ovens to the mass shipping off the teens of Americans to Europe to be their slaves. This could only happen as long as their parents had not already eaten them due to starvation. LCG and the COG so much need to see this happen in order to be proven right in their teachings. They need to see America and the rest of the so-called "Israelitish" nations punished for refusing to heed their message.

On February 2, they sent out their weekly blast called TW (Tomorrow's World) News and Prophecy email. It included two fear-laden blurbs on Europe and Germany. LCG members need to start trembling in fear over the rising up of the Beast power in Europe. Unfortunately, the Church of God has been tooting that horn for decades, even inviting the man they just knew was going to be the Beast to come and speak at Ambassador College. Franz Joseph Strauss is dead and gone. Herbert Armstrong's dead and gone. Rod Meredith is dead and gone. Gerald Waterhouse is dead and gone. Yet here we are, the same worn-out pathetic message they've been harping on for decades. Will they continue down this route when Gerald Weston and Richard Ames are dead and gone?

Will the 2024 Elections Change the World?  

 

The 2024 calendar year will see a record number of national and parliamentary elections, with nearly half the world’s population, 3.8 billion people, theoretically going to the polls to vote for new leaders (January 1, 2024). As Nicholas Vinocur notes in an article for Politico, “Indeed, from the United States to the U.K. and European Union, from India to Mexico, and from Taiwan to Indonesia, some of the world’s most strategically important countries will hold elections this year.” 

 

Many analysts fear that the results of this year’s elections could shift the world away from democracy and toward more authoritarianism. Dictators will likely remain and Europe could see a hard-right shift. While far-right candidates in the EU may not have enough support to take many high-level positions, their growing numbers will affect Europe’s laws and decisions. Many fear new leaders will reduce the power of the courts and silence the independent press. As a Georgetown University professor lamented in the Politico article, “Democracy is being challenged everywhere—not just in places that rank poorly on surveys of democratic values, but also in established democracies like the United States and the European Union.” A professor of EU law at HEC Business School in France observed, “This could be the year when we see the breakdown of the rules-based order.”

The book of Revelation describes the future rise of a European dictator known as “the beast,” who will eventually lead a configuration of ten nations or leaders in Europe just prior to the return of Jesus Christ. This coming “beast” will be backed by a powerful religious leader, “the false prophet”—an individual the Apostle Paul says “opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” (2 Thessalonians 2:4). The 2024 elections could be a prelude to significant changes in global politics that may help to set the stage for such dramatic events. The wise will be watching.

Europe Pushed to Stand Alone 

Western Europe and America have been allies in two world wars, the Persian Gulf crises, and many other conflicts. However, the winds of change are blowing, and the possibility of a second Trump presidency has European leaders facing a new reality—that Europe’s future defense may be up to Europeans alone (Politico, January 16, 2024)!

The United States has been Europe’s “security blanket” since at least World War II. American nuclear weapons, tanks and aircraft, and over 100,000 American troops on Europe’s soil have given comfort to many European leaders. But with America’s waning support and a larger war looming in Europe, EU leaders are pushing to rapidly re-arm and increase their own nuclear capabilities. German European People’s Party leader Manfred Weber warned, “Europe must build deterrence, we must be able to deter and defend ourselves…. We all know that when push comes to shove, the nuclear option is the really decisive one” (Politico, January 25, 2024). “Germany's military has sketched out an ‘exercise scenario’ for its planners to contemplate. It envisions a Russian attack into the Suwalki Gap between Poland and Lithuania in the period between this year’s U.S. presidential election and early 2025” (Politico, January 24, 2024). The German defense minister recently warned that German experts expect Russia could attack a NATO member in the next five to eight years. Another observer noted, “As the history of the 20th century has shown, [European] democracies may be slow to turn to a war footing, but once they do, they’re difficult to match.”

Bible prophecy indicates that Germany will lead a powerful European configuration of nations at the end of the age. External threats and fading support from America may prod Germany to act.

War is looming on the horizon. Germany is rising. Armstrongists tremble in fear.

Never do you see LCG or the improperly named "continuing" Church of "god" ever talk about the good things coming out of Germany.

Taking the Place of Honor

When I think of Herbert Armstrong and the folks who have claimed to be his successors (e.g. Roderick Meredith, Gerald Flurry, David Pack, Bob Thiel, etc.), I am reminded of something that Jesus said to his disciples, and that the Apostle Paul wrote to the Romans. To coin a phrase, the PLAIN TRUTH of the matter is that these guys have such an exalted notion of their importance and place in both the present (the ekklesia) and future (God's Kingdom) that they have little or NO compunction about claiming the best seat at the banquet!

In the Gospel of Luke, we read: "Now he told a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the places of honor, saying to them, 'When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest someone more distinguished than you be invited by him, and he who invited you both will come and say to you, ‘Give your place to this person,’ and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place. But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." - Luke 14:7-11, ESV

In similar fashion, the Apostle Paul once wrote to Christ's disciples at Rome: "For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness. Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight." - Romans 12:3-16, ESV

Now, when we compare the exploits of these men with these passages, we are forced to conclude that they all seized the places of honor for themselves. They all thought much too highly of themselves! Instead of seeking to serve their brothers and sisters in Christ, they chose to gather the reins of power and prestige to themselves and lord it over their brethren (Matthew 20:25-28). Hmmm, that reminds me of something else Christ once said: "many who are (present tense) first will be last, and the last first." (Matthew 19:30) In other words, by their own actions, these men have assured that their place in God's Kingdom will be small (if they make it there at all)!

Mr. Flurry says, “We in God’s Church should radiate something entirely different! I believe that, in a general way, we may be able to determine how much star quality and brightness we will have in the future by how much our face shines today in happiness and joy. God wants to make you happy. He has commanded that you be happy! And He has instructed us in exactly how to achieve that: ‘If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.’” You are truly happy when you live God’s law of love—the give way. That is what makes us happy!

This is just more of the continuing nonsense that PCG is reenforcing in members in that they are all Royally here on earth and depending on how well they keep the law and other non essential things will determine how big their royal status will be in the kingdom.

Ron Fraser wrote in a 2011 Philadelphia News article: “To aspire to the highest standard of elegance in personal presentation, general bearing, manners, speech and the appreciation of the finer things in life is a requirement of royalty.” Royalty in this world receives specific training in how to present themselves. They represent the royal crown and must be aware of this standard as they interact with other people. You must think on this as a representative of the new throne of David. We are a part of a royal culture—we are royals!

Some will be greater royals like Lil'Stevie and King Daddy will be. Church members faces will never shine as bright as the faces of these two blithering idiots or those in leadership positions on the cult compound.

1 Corinthians 15:41 reads, “There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.” In John’s Gospel: The Love of God, Gerald Flurry explains, “Some stars are greater and more luminous than others. God really wants us to have a lot of glory! He wants you to have the most ‘star glory’ possible when you are born into the God Family.

Did you know your Royal Report Card is keeping track of you shiny happy face? So, don't be a grumpy, otherwise you will get a failing grade:

“But even today, we should shine with a certain glory. Our faces should shine with happiness!” If “happiness on your face” appeared on your report card, what grade would you be getting? This is important to having a royal personality.

If you are unhappy or a grumpy, then you are a sinner!

Mr. Flurry continues: “Isaiah 3:9 describes how, because of Israel’s sins, ‘The shew of their countenance doth witness against them ….’ Look around, and you see many unhappy people in this world—people in the bonds of sin.” Can you see that? There are a lot of “stars” in this world—actors, models, influencers—who are physically beautiful, but do they radiate joy? They majority of people look unhappy, and this is caused by sin.

How can anyone who is a member of controlling Armstrongite cults truly be happy, especially those in the Philadelphia Church of God, Restored Church of God and even the improperly need "continuing" Church of "god"?

The truly happy people are those that have LEFT Armstrongism!

Exit Interviews: Why Do People Leave the Church?

There have been a number of projects dedicated to looking at attrition in Seventh-day Adventism, at who leaves the denomination and why. One of the most recent is this presentation by Dr. David Trim, the church’s Director of Archives, Statistics and Research, presented in 2016. (Dr. Trim has also been interviewed on the topic.)

While some studies have been conducted that did interview former Adventists to ask about their reasons for leaving the church (and Dr. Trim’s work does draw on those studies), many such presentations simply assume the reasons. The most common explanations given by current Adventists for why former Adventists have left are: (1) having been “hurt” in some way by the actions of church members or (2) wishing to “enjoy a life of sin” without the constraints on behavior of religious belief.

I thought there’d be value in simply asking some former members about their reasons for leaving, to try to develop a more nuanced understanding of what is going on for people. I should note that, although I do social science research in my day job, and have even published books on research methodology, this is by no means a formal study, and the results are only indicative. It’s an informal conversation with friends. From an ethics perspective, I won’t use any names, and I have the consent of all participants to share their reasons and stories.

It’s worth thinking about the “destinations” where former believers find themselves… or at least, the current waypoints on their life journey. By no means all end up “enjoying that life of sin”—in fact, very few do.

Quite a few join some other Christian denomination, or consider themselves “spiritual but not religious.”

Others become, if not “agnostic,” perhaps “apatheist”: apathetic toward God and religion. They are not anti-religious, particularly; they just consider that religious belief has no meaning or relevance in their lives. They find meaning in their relationships and secular (non-religious) activities.

And, of course, some also become atheists who consider that religious belief in general is a delusion. Even within the atheist group, some are more strongly anti-theistic while others are closer to the apathetic position.

I think this is important, because it takes us a little beyond the binary of “Adventist = saved, non-Adventist = lost.” If we genuinely accept that believers in other Christian denominations can be saved, then attrition from Adventism is not seen as necessarily attrition from faith or salvation. A more sophisticated and nuanced understanding of where people find themselves “after Adventism” is simply more accurate, and therefore more useful, than a simplistic binary.

I’ve asked a number of people in an online group I’m part of, and here are some of the answers. I try to group them a little, without presenting them in rank order or order of frequency of responses—the body of data is too small for that kind of analysis.

1. Being “defined out” – people who feel that Adventism has been defined (including in changes to the Fundamental Beliefs) in ways that define them as being “outside,” and choose to accept that
2. Studying their way out – people who have been convinced by very extensive and careful study of scripture and theology that various claims of Seventh-day Adventism are not supported by the best available evidence
3. Recent creationism – people who find the very strong insistence on a literal 6-day creation week less than 10,000 years ago impossible to reconcile with their understanding of science. This is sometimes associated with anti-science perspectives on other issues such as the health effects of coffee or masturbation.
4. Hierarchy – people who believe the denomination should be more congregational and local rather than global, so that local cultural differences can be accepted, rather than requiring uniformity
5. Institutional protection of sexual predators – people who have been horrified by the treatment of survivors of sexual abuse (including themselves or people close to them) and their abusers, including cover-ups and “moving along”
6. Women’s ordination – people who believe that some women are called to pastoral ministry and should be in all ways equal with men in that calling
7. Morality of God – people who find the God who killed almost everyone on Earth in a Flood and commanded genocide of women and children after the Exodus morally unacceptable
8. Sexuality – people who are gay, bi or trans and were told their very existence was wrong and excluded by both doctrine and practice
9. Fluidity of belief – people who are not rigid in their belief structures, and who “flowed in” and later “flowed out” of belief
10. Never believed – people who never really believed in supernatural things, in many cases despite being brought up in the church, and left once they were socially free to do so
11. Claimed inerrancy of Scripture and Ellen G White – people who have identified errors in the Bible or the writings of Ellen White, when both are (sometimes) claimed to be inerrant (noting that inerrancy is not mainstream Adventist doctrine in either case)
12. Inconsistencies within Scripture or between doctrine and Scripture – people who have identified inconsistencies within the Bible, within the writings of Ellen White, between EGW and the Bible or between the Bible and Adventist doctrinal positions
13. Desmond Ford, his treatment at Glacier View and the Investigative Judgement – people (usually old enough to have been around at the time) who accept Dr. Ford’s critique of the Investigative Judgement doctrine, and/or who believe that his treatment by the denomination at the time and later was unfair

Herbert Armstrong: Satan Is Going To Use Interracial Marriage To Attack The Church

When you read this you can quickly see what a condescending prick HWA was at times.

 

Satan's Next Attack: 

 Today I want to speak on what may possibly be the very next attack that Satan will use against this church. I was studying at lunch before the meeting last Sabbath, with our minister there and he said "I think that very likely, the next attack of Satan" — now there was the attack of the State of California against us. There's been another attack that most of you don't even know anything about. It only hit a few of us at the top. But there has been trouble and don't you think there hasn't. Satan is on the job. But Christ is on the job and Christ is winning. And always will win! It's like my executive assistant, Bob Fahey said, he's looked at the book to see how it comes out in the end, and he says we win. Yes we do. That's the way it's going to turn out. At least Christ is going to win and we'll only win if we're on Christ's side. We don't need to worry about getting Christ over on our side. But he said, the thing that's going to hit this church next, that Satan's going to use, is interracial marriage. 

Oh the pity. People can sometimes get their feelings all stirred up to a red hot pitch on something of that kind. Their prejudices, their emotions, their feelings. God almighty created us all. He put us here for a purpose. And we don't have much longer. And we need to look into this. Now that was in New York City last Sabbath. On the plane, coming back, Mr. Fahey showed me a letter that had been handed to him from a member. I believe this member is in, yes, just across in New Jersey, just across from New York but had attended the service. And she had been talking to another member who lives in Philadelphia. And there'd been quite a heated conversation on the telephone. And I want to read you just one slight little bit of what was in that message and what is coming up in the church now. And you're going to have to — IF GOD BE GOD GET ON HIS SIDE. AND IF YOU WANT TO GO WITH THIS WORLD AND THE WAY IT'S GOING, GET OVER ON THAT SIDE, and go into the lake of fire with it. That's all I have to say.

I just want to read a few, this is about a 3 or 4 page letter, so, I'll just read a part of it. She says,

"During the conversation, [that's the telephone conversation, that's the telephone conversation she had with this woman in Philadelphia] it was stated that the blacks in God's church are dissatisfied with such doctrines that are not keeping with the current social trend in the world, which they feel are in keeping with the premises of international relationships that are a part of this nation's background" 

So we should go along with our nation and the social trends of the world. And this letter also says that they are trying to line up a group of blacks, TO GIVE ME AN ULTIMATUM! THAT I GET ON THE SIDE OF THE TRENDS, THE SOCIAL TREND OF THIS WORLD. OR ELSE! I'll tell you what I'll give them. I'll give them OR ELSE. I won't compromise one millionth of an inch. And if you will, you can go into the lake of fire if you want to. Now, I've never started a fight in my life but let me tell you, I've won every fight I've ever been in. But someone else always started it. I don't want to start a fight. I'm the servant of the Most High God. And I'm as much a servant of blacks or of yellows or of any other color, pinks, polka dots, anything you want to mention - and the like. But I know what God has said. And that's what I'm teaching you and that's the way this church is going to go. We're getting this church back on God's track. That's where it's going to be and that's where it's going to stay.

LCG Warns Us About False Teachers

 

Those wild and crazy boys in Charlotte do not take too kindly to false teachers in the Church of God movement.  It is interesting below how they showcase how much grace disturbs their legalistic mentality. To justify their stance they now call it "permissive grace". That fact alone tells us all we need to know about how ignorant they are about the subject of grace in Christianity. It just frosts their butts that people are not tied to the law as a requirement for salvation. The law brings death. Grace brings life. 

Social justice is one of their pet peeves too. Apparently caring for the homeless and the disadvantaged is not something a truly converted Christian would do. Why worry about them when God's going to fix it all later on. Suffering is just part of life. Boo Hoo. Besides, the church needs your money more than they do because the poor have always been with us.

We must always remember that the only truly converted Christians on this earth are Living Church of God members. Even Bob Thiel's little rag-tag group of church-hopping money-embezzling Africans are not truly converted.

For many decades now, various Church of God leaders have preached "another gospel " cleverly disguising their words as truth when all they were doing was leading people astray.

Beware of False Teachers: Jesus warned repeatedly about false teachers, saying, “Many will come in My name… and will deceive many” (Matthew 24:4–5). While they may claim to be “Christian,” their teachings and actions will be contrary to the Scriptures. To avoid being deceived, it is important to study the word of God so you can recognize if a teacher’s message agrees with the Scriptures or not (see Isaiah 8:20). Today we hear many different “gospels”—the gospel of wealth, the gospel of permissive grace, of social justice, and apocryphal gospels. However, the Apostle Paul labeled false teachers who promote a different gospel than Jesus and the Apostles preached, as “ministers” of Satan (2 Corinthians 11:1–15). To avoid being deceived by clever arguments and emotionally laced messages, we must diligently study the Scriptures as the Bereans did (Acts 17:10–11) and prove from the Scriptures what is true or false (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
