A reader here just sent me this. It seems Dave Pack, the certified lying leader of the Restored Church of God is now advertising on left wing web sites in order to convert them over to the truth once restored.
Exposing the underbelly of Armstrongism in all of its wacky glory! Nothing you read here is made up. What you read here is the up to date face of Herbert W Armstrong's legacy. It's the gritty and dirty behind the scenes look at Armstrongism as you have never seen it before! With all the new crazy self-appointed Chief Overseers, Apostles, Prophets, Pharisees, legalists, and outright liars leading various Churches of God today, it is important to hold these agents of deception accountable.

One wonders how the Progressive (Democratic) bias of Kos can even begin to be compatible with Davey's mores.
Perhaps Pack can attend the annual convention in Las, Vegas (with which the Weinlands would be entirely comfortable); maybe Davey can play the slots and then go attend breakout session on, say, diversity candidates....
Known by the company you keep?
We already know Davey is rather immoral (if you don't count sex) and no view of ethics at all (except the end justifies the means -- the end being bolstering Davey's ego).
Like the rest of them, Dave has to advertise so he can pretend he's doing a work. He has to be able to tell his flock he's doing a work and reaching a pile of people with their tithe money. It's all smoke and mirrors. There is no work. Nobody is listening to Dave except his own people and a few members in other splinters. If anyone was listening he would have converts from the world but he doesn't.
You do know the ad appears there b/c it's tagged to your online browsing/viewing activity? For me, it was an herbal pet products add and an ad for the guy who wants to be governor in my state next election.
So, you're giving Pack too much credit for strategizing a campaign outreach to heretics. You are the reason his ad showed up as you were reading at the Kos.
I seriously doubt Dave can reach, per day, people who actually care about what he has to say compared to this blog and the number it reaches in the splinters each day.
The question is whether Dave can keep up with the flow of RCG members or co worker types who are gushing out the bottom in doubt and finally thinking for themselves.

We have been forwarded a screenshot of RCG advertising on OK Cupid as well. Apparently those seeking love online are ripe for Pack's picking.
Anon 11:26 is right -- it's mostly tied to your browsing activity. If you've visited David C. MyPackage's site, cookies will cause his ads to follow you around the web.
So, tell all your ex-COG friends to visit C. MyPackage's site, so his ads are wasted on people who couldn't care less about the self-appointed a-pustule or his theories.
Those are likely "pay per click" ads. Run up Davey's tab by clicking on them once in a while! They likely cost somewhere around a $1 to $2 per click.

That's right Joe. Every time a person clicks on one of those ads Pack has to pay for it. So lets click away!
The google ad choices logo is clearly visible at the top right. Google chose where to place the ad, based on some loose criteria set by Pack/RCG, and as has been stated it is mostly about individual browsing activity. This is not a story, sorry.
I even saw these infernal ads pop on tvtropes, a pop culture web site I sometimes go to.
I am quite relieved to know that these ads seem to appear on people's computers because of what they previously viewed. I find that thought comforting.
Hopefully that will make it less likely for non-COG people to fall into Pack's cult.
Really? for every ad clicked, Pack has to pay? Okay, let us all click and click and click and click! A feast and holiday of clicking Pack's ad!
