God's right hand man is the most superfantabulous creation that has ever existed in human history. Has there ever been a man who is as awesome as Dave Pack?
Super Dave is claiming that all of the churches he has ever been a minister in have grown phenomenally. No other minister has ever been able to do this. No other man has been able to enrapture the membership as he has.
Dave fails to tell his ministers and members the trail of destruction he has left in every single one of his church areas! Broken marriages, suicides and much more.
I invited more people to services in about 30 years, maybe 35 years, than anybody I ever knew. I visited them and my churches grew faster, and 95 percent of the time…I don’t think I’ve ever told our ministers this…95 percent of thousands of people that I visited…of those I invited, which were somewhere between 40 and 50 percent of all of those I ever visited…perspective members…95 percent I invited on the first visit and of that number about 90 percent came. Some few didn’t come, but they were ready to come, and of the number that came, probably about 90 percent of those stayed because of the things we did in the congregations to make them feel welcome……

Well, the easiest way to debunk this would be to ask Dennis, or Allen, or Jim if such statistics were ever kept in the first place, and if so, if comparative records were kept to compare which ministers were most effective in their visiting programs.
There are anecdotes in the Ambassador Report about Dave failing to visit people in ghetto areas, because he was scared. If these are true, it must be noted that from a pastoral point of view, these are not sales leads on encyclopaedia which fail to be closed, the commodity is peoples' souls! Neglecting ghetto areas would therefore relate specifically to Dave's integrity in his "calling" as a minister and as a human being. But, of course, knowing what we know today, in spite of himself, neglecting the Ghetto actually spared some good minority people from having yet another life-searing experience! BB King used to speak of bad experiences that he encountered that were like being black twice. At least Dave unwittingly limited that particular statistic. Still, no NAACP awards for you, Dave!

It is likely that most of those invited (if they really were) didn't come and of the ones who did come probably didn't stay long.
Most people in this world, particularly if they have graduated from high school or earned a GED, very likely would not well tolerate the weirdness, having valued their sanity enough to avoid the nuts and kooks of Armstrongism.
At least we'd like to think so....

Actually, yes they did keep track at first for many years especially during the time RCM was in charge of ministerial services. Every monday I had to send a card with church attendance that week, sermon title and number of visits I had made. NOW...I can see inflating the numbers in his head from what he actually did but that would be Dave having to be the best and most of anyone in everything.
For a shorter time, I also had to send in a card on each specific visit which really really bothered me (I was in my 20's and new to the game) and I stopped doing it and then that practice ended at sometime. But then every "To Be Played in all the Churches" tapes didn't get played either. :) They were boring and it didn't take a genius to see it was meant to keep the locals in the HQ grove. I fast forwarded thru many if not most of them and decided if I wanted to waste my time with my own church on it which I often didn't. Once in awhile was ok but they started coming fast and furious and were of no particular import. At the time I had better things to attend to in sermons with my churches.
I'd bet 50% of the people on this site were the tares who never had their heart in the game anyway. They just wanted to escape the tribulation.
Pack is a psychopath with no heart, no feeling, no empathy. Psychopaths don't experience empathy. They are all about SELF and STATUS and POWER. That is Dave to a "tee".

What was the HQ grove? It was 'boring' by design. It was religious talk with no substance, by design. It was meant to keep the locals ignorant. Members have attended services for decades and are still morally confused or child like in their understanding. Most members don't comprehend this since they have never experienced moral meat. Just reading the odd self help book proves this. Had the intellectual fire power in the church been used to research applying Gods laws, the sermons would have been on a different plane. The result is and was the 'Children's Church of God,' by design.

Everyone wants to escape the tribulation, the tares as well as and the converted. Your comment reveals the church mentality of rejecting reward. It's only the fear mongering stick, with no mention of the carrot. The reason? Members should spend all their time serving the losers hand and foot. So self interest is regarded as evil.
So in other words DCP is saying,"no man can come to Jesus, or me unless I invite or draw them"
I recall Dave in his original autobiography, claiming that the large number attending his church, caught HQs attention. He left out that the numbers would have been much higher had there been a minister other than Dave.
