The Great Bawana has already started with the "threats" to his African members. Like most Church of God leaders, threats have to be used to keep members in line and fearful of losing their chance at salvation. They have to be reminded that salvation is only available to them in a COG group and only if they follow the party line of the dear leader. Bob Thiel has been very adamant that his group and his group alone is the ONLY true Church of God doing any work in the 21st century.
Concluding CommentsThe Book of Proverbs teaches:
15 It is a joy for the just to do justice, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity. 16 A man who wanders from the way of understanding will rest in the assembly of the dead. (Proverbs 21:15-16)
Brethren, notice that the just should do justice and that destruction comes to the workers of iniquity.
So far, so good.But notice that wandering away from the way of understanding also results in destruction.This may be part of the reason that the New Testament states:
10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; 11 for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 1:10-11)
Be careful to remain diligent.

I'm already ashamed enough if my youthful and naive theological training without reading Bob thinks he is both pastor and overseer. Now I feel worse lol
I can’t believe that he used the word “overseer”. He’s NOBODY’S overseer. Wow!
Overseer?? Whats next, Thiel going to want to have chip implants on all his followers with GPS tracking? A camera in every bedroom?
"Overseer" sounds like some UFO space alien thingy, that has come to Earth to monitor us for "harvest"!
Why should we be shocked at this? Theil was trained at the feet of his idol and spiritual father, Rod Meredith. Everything Meredith did, Thiel tries to emulate. Thiel is just as sick as Meredith was. This spiritual self-righteousness is what disgusted so many in LCG and made Thiel the mockery of the church.
The improperly named "Continuing" Church of God [sic] is doing a powerful Work, buying laptop computers for impoverished Africans. However, if SDA ministers spend more money buying needed supplies for former CCOG members, or if the CCOG members are part-time members who profess allegiance to whichever American minister happens to be visiting, this is evidence that Bwana Bob needs to increase the power of his Work.
Ah. His attempt at "managing" the Africans, to avoid the types of scenarios we've discussed here involving non-exclusivity of the members. He doesn't want to share them with other ACOGs, like UCG, or even other groups like the SDAs.
Years ago, I had a friend at work who had come to the USA from Guatemala. We used to have discussions about the politics of Central America. One of the truths of his former world, something he oft repeated was that "In my country, most people don't know the meanings of words like communism, and capitalism. They only know the meaning of the word hunger."
Che Guevara attempted to export the Cuban communist revolution to Africa, back in the '60s. Usually, commmunism was successfully implanted in countries where there was poverty, class disparity, and great dissatisfaction with the status quo. Theoretically, the nations emerging from colonialism in Africa would have been prime candidates for revolution. Yet Che's efforts resulted in abject failure. He placed the blame for this failure on the lack of any sense of nationalism. From all we read, it is obvious that church building, which is in a sense a Christian revolution, would face the same obstacles. And, the African people have much more immediate fears than any scare rhetoric from Bob Thiel.

Bob's shtick is that he is a prophet, and is the only one who will correctly identify the end-time players, such as the King of the North, King of the South, the False Prophet, the Beast, etc, when the Tribulation begins, when and where to flee, and so on.
Of course all you need to do to get his latest speculations is to wade through his verbose articles and listen to his rambling YouTube sermons.
Oh, right, the coming internet censorship... I guess you need to be a CCOG member after all...
I still say we need to muscle test Bob claims on being a Prophet and now and Overseer. Surely he would go along with the results as a Naturopath.
