It is almost Feast of Tabernacles time in COGland and Living Church of God has laid the law down on excited children at Feast sites:
Children and the Feast
Horseplay and Running: Parents, please remember that children are not permitted to run or engage in horseplay before, during, or after services, including at the Feast. A fall can be life-threatening for the elderly. Children should also not be allowed to play on the stage or near speakers, microphones, and other expensive equipment.
You Are Responsible for Your Child: Parents should also be aware the Church does not take responsibility for the care of children at Church meetings or events, including at the Feast. Please ensure that the conduct of your children and young people is adequately supervised throughout their attendance, and that your children are fully under your control.
Sitting with Parents: It is also the policy of the Church to have children and teens sit with their parents during services. An exception may be where an individual child or teen may sit with a friend’s parents and family. Obviously, a teen attending whose parents are not also in attendance would be exempt.
And they wonder why so many of their youth hate the church.

Whaaaat? They would actually allow a teen to attend without his or her parents? How does that work? A teen = no job = no money = no tithes or offerings. Oh yeah, good fodder for all the pedophiles attending. Run, teens, run!!!
I didn't know there were any children at a LCG FOT. Thought it was made up of only end stage adults.
FOT Rules for LCG
I If you find a set of dentures, hearing aids or glasses, please turn them in to Lost and Found
2. Please keep walkers and canes out of the isles. A fall by your peers can be a nasty experience
3. Please be sure you adjust ONLY YOUR HARD OF HEARING HEADSET and not that of the person next to you. We had an ugly incident once where the headset did not appear to be working and was cranked up to full volume only to have the hard of hearing person to the right jump up and scream "What the Hell are you doing! Trying to blow my damn head off!" (True story lol)
4. Please keep all prescription bottles out of the reach of your friends. And also remember that complete healing is promised with the laying on of hands from the Elders on Duty.
5. Please keep all personal urinals out of sight and dispose of in a timely manner.
6. Please take at least one family member or close friend with you to the Adult Changing Room located outside the building and way down the hall to the left. Take soiled clothing with you please in a sealable plastic bag.
7. Belching, Burping and Passing Gas is forbidden during sermon time. If you must try to get it over with during the Sermonette, Announcements or Special Music.
8. Running in the isles is permitted if it will keep a heart rate up so you can enjoy the sermon.
9. Festival Stickers and Wrist Bands should be worn at all times as they will remind you where you are should you have a lapse of memory.
10. All Deacons, Elders and the 12 teens in attendance MUST all keep their CPR and FIRST AID Cards up to date.
11. CPR Classes are held every day immediately before services should you wish to learn CPR, Rescue Breathing and what to do in the event of choking. There will be no Child and Infant skills taught as this is an unnecessary skill or need during the feast.
12. Should you begin to feel cold, look pale, start to sweat profusely and experience chest or arm pain, please signal your nearest Deacon located in the isles in front of your seats. Don't forget a Deacon may also be behind you as well. Oxygen is available to you in the seat back in front of should you need it. Just pull it out towards you and the Oxygen will begin to flow. If you are helping a friend, please put the mask on yourself before helping another.
13. Should the speaker go down on the stage or show any of the above signs or symptoms, do not come to their aid. We will wait ten minutes and then send an Elder to assist them as should the unthinkable be the case. The church can save money on retirements and we will see them in the Kingdom anyway.
14. Now let's all have the best, or last for you, Feast Ever! WE SAID "LET"S HAVE THE BEST ,OR LAST FOR YOU, FEAST EVER!!! NO! Not "BEAST"...FEAST!!!
And too...bless the elderly hangers on to LCG and their beliefs. I recognize all our need to believe in more and as we age, even more. Life is short, even when long. It is in us as humans to seek answers to the how and why of life and there are many avenues one can travel down to explore those possibilities.
The reckless break up of the WCG, no matter one's take on who did or didn't have what or what not truth of any matter struck at the hearts and minds of most who had given all to the hope that lay within them and of things to come. We need to know that not matter the state of the world or individual lives, "everything will be all right." Religious hope and beliefs fill that need. I get that. My own elderly dad was given an article I had written that was less than what he thought I must still believe. Even my dad, who I was very close to and he to me told my sister "what's this crap?" lol. We, of course, could not talk or even speak about my changes in heart and beliefs. They both returned to the Presbyterian Church of their and my youth just up the street until they were no longer able to physically attend. The Church there had been there, and the building still is, since the 1930's when it broke away from the one across town. In my day it was full of kids and activities, boys scouts and youth groups. But it turned old and there was no new blood. It closed last year for lack of interest.
Such will be the fate of all the WCG remnants I predict. Nothing stays the same not even Jesus no matter what the scriptures say.
Dennis, you have practically outdone yourself with your latest comment!
However, you have neglected to add a popular product-
Waterhouse brand SermonArmour ExtendedWear adult undergarments with QuietControl Technology.
(They give new meaning to, "It's gonna be a long boring sermon, and I might take a nappie")
These 'shatnez-friendly' , highly absorbent adult briefs are the chosen ones among the Chosen Ones.
(In fact, because God loves quality, they are both the NUMBER ONE and NUMBER TWO choices among Incontinental Church of God members!)
[Technical info: Participants wearing "Waterhouse brand SermonArmour ExtendedWear adult undergarments" came in LAST PLACE in the 'loudest sound' category of Gujarat, India's recent flatulation contest- Due to the Waterhouse brand's baffling 'QuietControl Technology'.]
As the Waterhouse ad says, "Don't interrupt the sermon with your ass's noise and muffle the JOYS of the Best Feast Ever!"
Available in either Genesis White or Herbert W Armstrong print.
Available sizes range from Small-ish(but may need duct tape around the legs to prevent leakage), to PortlyHouse, due to manufacturing constraints.
Modern churches that "get it" have playgrounds and large grassy areas for kids, and let them run wild and with yelling and laughter before and after church.
Scriptures say "Unless you become as little children...". God gets a real kick out of seeing the energy and excitement of kids. I believe he loves watching them running and yelling, and playing tag and having snowball fights.
"And they wonder why so many of their youth hate the church."
yeah, discipline is such a bear.
Dennis - I was one of the older hangers on at LCG. I had proved things over and over to myself until cracks started appearing.
There are young people - almost all have grown up there.
With the constant crackdowns on teen behavior and clothing, they may start losing more of them as they become adults.
Teens like to be with fellow teens. I used to when I was a teen.
The reasons some of the teens stayed as adults was they could still have fun, meet with friends, sit together, wear teen suitable apparel, etc.
If they weren't too wild, it was a safe place to be, and the odds were they would fall in love with someone they met locally, or a teen camp.
And lets face it - even semi revealing clothing speeds along the process.
LCG is managing to be both anti-Bible and anti-evolution at the same time.
Anti-Bible: Bible teaches it is good to get married, and good to have children.
Evolution: it is important for the survival of the species.
Being too strict with kids and teens did not work for WCG, and it is unlikely to work for LCG.
As the Runaways used to sing, "Hello, Daddy! Hello, Mom! I'm your ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch Cherry Bomb!
Seriously, I'm somewhat on board with #1, and #2, but I believe that #3 should be conditional based on the individual teenager's personality and character. Personally, I used to love the minor feasts in a big city area, where there were so many people that you could actually get lost. Somebody thought it was a good idea at pot luck time to have one of the teenagers (me) serve draft beer at these feasts. Unfortunately, this lead to some somewhat inebriated young people sitting together and having an illegally good time during the afternoon services. It was an exercise in pure escapism from our normal daily experience of "child-rearing God's way." Sorry, young people of today, me and my buds are most likely responsible for the extra rules and regulations with which you are afflicted today!
