Subject: Hold Fast That Which is Good
Greetings brethren,
The time has come when I must speak. I am charged to protect the sheep from false teachings, and I can no more remain silent as the meaning of the Holydays comes under further attack. This is changing times and seasons. Leviticus 23 and Exodus 13 are plain scriptures which explain the spring Holydays and exactly when they occur. The Jews in Old Testament times confuse them, and that confusion remains to this day. Now we have followed suit. Mr. Pack has ignored what we all once knew that even is dusk or twilight, which is the time between sunset and darkness. There is only one even or evening in each day and it is at the beginning of the day. Look in Genesis where God says “… and the evening and the morning was the first day.” etc. Passover is completely separate from the NBTO. It is a violation of the rules of Bible study to go to an unclear scripture in Ezekiel and make a doctrine in the face of the clear scriptures mentioned above.
We have seen over the last few years how the teachings of a faithful apostle, who was the apostle to the Philadelphian era, an era which God had nothing bad to say about in Rev. 3, become destroyed and or altered. How could this era have been so wrong in it’s understanding? God’s Holydays have always been a map to God’s plan for mankind and we once clearly saw the meaning in each step of God’s plan reflected in each Holyday. Now the meaning of the fall holydays is muddied and therefore the understanding of God’s plan has been muddied. Ask yourself, what is the meaning of each of the 7 Holydays and Feasts. This is why we no longer have a Bible Introduction course to clearly explain them as we once did, because no one can!
We also now teach a Calvinistic type of predestination which was never taught in the previous era as this type of teaching will lead into even more heresy as time goes forward. Read our Predestination booklet, it still has it correct. Which leads me to a significant point. Our literature, in many cases, more closely reflects what we taught in the past and is far different from what is being taught in the church in sermons and so many come looking for a group that teaches what Mr. Armstrong taught and we now have a type of bait and switch going on. This is simply wrong!
One of the fundamental doctrines that only God’s church understood, different from all professing Christianity, was our knowledge of who the God of the Old Testament was: that God was the Word (Jesus Christ). This is why when Christ came as a man he came to reveal the Father. (Matthew 11:27, Luke 10:22) This lost truth has led to a mountain of error and confusion. Simply read Exodus 3:14 Moses is told the name of the God he was dealing with “I AM” and then read John 8:58 Where Christ says “… before Abraham was I AM”. Can it be any clearer. Don’t be deceived by clever manipulation of unclear scriptures, ignoring that which is most plain!
Mr. Pack, who declared last Feast of Tabernacles that he was a prophet and had been for some time then went on to make a plethora of predictions of when Christ would return, none of which obviously came to pass. Yes, he has said he had never claimed God spoke to him, that is true. But brethren do not ignore the clear warning in Deuteronomy 18:22 “When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” Many times, we have heard, “On God’s authority, I am right!” He HAS spoken Presumptuously! And then to say he was foretold to be wrong is just foolishness. We do not serve a God of confusion! Recently he has stated he is not a prophet. When one says they are a prophet they are either a true or false prophet and later claiming not to be a prophet becomes a mute point. Now again Mr. Pack claims to be Elijah and a whole plethora of other titles; and has once again predicted that we can’t go past Thursday, just before Trumpets. Again his prediction failed and he proved himself false. How can we sit at the feet of, and listen to, this false prophet?
Many have said, “This is a test of our faith”, and to a degree that is true. But brethren this is not the first apostacy that I have encountered. I have heard this all before. If one continues to listen to heresy, one will eventually begin to absorb it. Do you wish to be the proverbial frog in the water and wait to be boiled to death?
World conditions are deteriorating around us and yes, we should watch as these do seem to be the beginning of sorrows and we all wish that the return of Jesus Christ will be soon. We are told to hold fast that which is good. What we are hearing IS NOT GOOD!
I know that this letter will find its way to HQs, and there will be a story spun putting me in a bad light, it has happened to many others before me. But you brethren know me and know I have always been straight with you, regardless of what is said of me. I hold no malice and I care for you all. It is for this reason that I am compelled to try to protect you from false teaching, regardless of where it comes from.
Have no illusions, I could be marked, and you told not to contact me. But I cannot remain silent any longer! Much, much more could be said but you know me, I always head straight to the point, so this warning is sufficient. Beware false doctrine!
Brethren during this confusion, a book I have found most helpful to remain grounded in the truth once delivered is “The Mystery of The Ages” by Mr. Armstrong. I recommend you find a copy and read it.
I love you all.
P.S Attached to this email is a document written by my son to his congregation which I think you will find helpful.

Well good on Kaidannek for leaving the Pack Madness. However, he uses as a baseline the "Armstrong Philadelphia Era" as the standard rod that Pack has deviated from greatly.
Although Kaidannekis indeed true about Pack, using the Armstrong Era as a baseline of "all things restored , right and wonderful" is a glaring mistake too.
In both instances, the belief that there is one supreme "guru" who is an "Elijah" or the sole unaccountalbe pontiff and representative of God on Earth , will ALWAYS lead to madness in any and all circumstances. The NT church was not built on such a model in any way , shape or form.
he uses as a baseline the "Armstrong Philadelphia Era" as the standard
But he did show how Dave deviated to the more disastrous direction, to the "bad side of awful". Imagine Dave Pack upping himself over King David...
And Brian hasn't (yet) gone like Bob Thiel and set standards based on his own xCOG.
“World conditions are deteriorating around us and yes, we should watch as these do seem to be the beginning of sorrows and we all wish that the return of Jesus Christ will be soon. “ -- Brian Kaidannek
World conditions are deteriorating slowly compared to the rapidly deteriorating conditions in satanic imposter cults like Gerald Flurry's PCG and David Pack's RCG. These two lying false prophets and their satanic imposter cults were the real “beginning of sorrows” for thousands of former members of Herbert W. Armstrong's WCG.
Does anyone else just feel the delusions getting stronger and stronger as these cogs, and ministers fall further and further into madness? I've got serious concerns for the remaining members mental state after all of the cognitive dissonance and gaslighting they've endured.
I wouldn't be surprised if alzheimers and other mental illness become rampant across the COG's in the coming years. These ministers MUST know what they are doing to their members. Its pure cruelty. The longer they crusade onward, the more lives they damage, and the more opportunities for individuals to truly connect with Jesus disappear. It breaks my heart.
It's common knowledge that Mystery of the Ages was written by a group of ministers rather than Herb. Herb told the truth when he said that he didn't feel like he wrote the book.
Maturing Christians need to look less at the writings of theologians and more at discerning their Bibles. Going back and focusing on Herbs writings is mental and moral regression. We don't need no stinking mental seeing eye dogs telling us what the bible really means.

I don't recall ever hearing that one before. Did you just make that up and claim that it is common knowledge?
The writer posts, "One of the fundamental doctrines that only God’s church understood, different from all professing Christianity, was our knowledge of who the God of the Old Testament was: that God was the Word (Jesus Christ)." I ask, how did the COGs get it so wrong? You can ask a number of Hebrew Roots groups who the God of the old testament was and the response is YHWH (the Father). That is the correct answer. Beware false doctrine.

We had a anonymous post a year or two ago claiming that he was one of the ministers from the committee that wrote that book. The allegation has been floating around for many years. Anyway, in American culture it's common for celebrities to have ghost writers, yet claim all the credit. I recall Martha Stewart being asked on the Today Show where she found the time to write her most recent book. Guess what?
It's common knowledge that Mystery of the Ages was written by a group of ministers
Did you just make that up
[Someone might say, "Most people don't know that".]
Funny that in the letter that accompanied MOA HWA wrote that he felt like a "scribe" as the "words just came to him". We were left to believe they were divinely "revealed". Perhaps they were "revealed" by a group of ministers... I remember how the original MOA stated that he didn't know if life existed on other planets. Would HWA admit that?
Does anyone else just feel the delusions getting stronger and stronger
Yes, it seems the COGleaders are trying to outdo each other in wackiness. When they cross the line, I usually stop wasting time following them. One exception is Bob Thiel, who several times walked the fine borderline of wacky but safely retreated to the land of delusion.
It is true that all the COG's have been deceived into believing that Christ was the God of the Old Testament. There are many proof scriptures such as Acts 3:13 and Acts 5:30 which all the COG's (apart from Pacific COG) have ignored, which show that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and the "God of our fathers" can only be the Father. Biblical Unitarians are much closer to the truth about this subject.
"the original MOA stated that he didn't know if life existed on other planets. Would HWA admit that?"
Asking the question is admitting you don't know HWA and therefore are talking nonsense regarding MOA.
Just one example.
In a PT article series by Loma Armstrong she got a good laugh at HWA, not knowing/being privy (her words) about "hidden messages in pyramid geomatry."
Another one.
His use of Stan Rader he admitted was because there were men in the church who were better equipped to understand the way "the world works", meaning how the elites interact and socialize.
nck
nck, I admit I don't understand what you're talking about.
@anon 9:46
Nobody understands what nck is talking about. He is our pet oracle ;)
I responded to the posting that insinuated that hwa would not admit not knowing something.
Nck
What!! you mean to tell me Aaron Dean did not write Mystery of the Ages. Oy vey!!
Anonymous 9:46 You are not alone in admitting that.
I try to weed out "literalist/legalists" who will never understand that *geomatry*, means *geometry*. I protect their bubbles through oracles from the Delphi Era of the Church. But my strategy is backfiring. I have no members. Perhaps only a couple of Haruki Murakami fans.
Nck
@NCK
A lot of people here wouldn’t know who Haruki Murakami is for the simple reason that the ‘church’ told us that “All we need to read is the Bible and the RCG literature”.
Years ago when my minister came to my house, he looked at my bookcase and ordered me to get rid of all my books because I ‘only needed the church’s knowledge’. I lack a broad view on the world, on God, on society. I was kept in the dark by the RCG for a long time and I’m now trying to catch up.
David Pack prefers his sheeple dumb and doesn’t want them to use their brains. Because if they would use their brains, they would start asking (the wrong) questions.
@11:48
"he looked at my bookcase and ordered me to get rid of all my books"
That is terrible, unless of course you had Nabokov Lolita, Das Kapital or Lady Chatterley in the bookcase.
Regarding bookcases, it is true that being a good or bad person does not depend on size, size does not matter.
I have however made it a point in almost all of my "contributions" on Banned, that this blog is NOT church. Some like it, some google savvy learn something, some first filter old nck out and some abhor my postings.
I mean who cares about Haruki, but through me you heard about the "best selling author."
I am not telling you to like or dislike his writings, to empty or fill your bookcase.
I'm just opening new realms and make it a point to intentionally use faulty spelling all the time. I know that is rebellion and old Retired Prof might find it an abomination of sorts.
nck
Of course Nck, I can see you reading Norwegian Wood book by him.
Yeah,
A few have called me level headed and some even funny as we are dealing with extremely complex issues on/through this blog hosted by Mr No2HWA.

Like Churchill said, there is a powerful movement in the world to wreak intentional destruction on the economy through wars and arrested development and bring us all back to the dark ages so we will be easier to control. Some of these cult leaders seem to be working for that movement.

I like what you did to, "a great purpose being worked out on earth", by churchill.
We think the same.

I'm trying to find out what Mr.Pack is saying about Christ's coming. Is he saying there will be an early coming, early harvest by October 15, in addition to his main coming at the end of the tribulation? Any further sources?
Also wondering what Mr. Flurry's ethnicity is. He says the throne will be occupied by someone of Jewish descent.
