As usual, LCG members can never do anything right. Now they are being tempted by the most powerful god of the COG movement, Satan. This entity gets afar more air time than does that Christ dude and is apparently more powerful.
Are You in Satan’s Sights? The Bible contains numerous warnings about Satan and how he operates to deceive, divide, and destroy people, families, and nations. He moves like a lion stalking vulnerable and unsuspecting prey (1 Peter 5:8). He does not hunt with claws or bullets, but he stirs up strife by spreading gossip, rumors, and lies (Leviticus 19:16–17; Proverbs 17:9; John 8:44). He fosters discord by stirring up fears, jealousy, and selfish ambitions (1 Corinthians 1:10–13). He will use anyone—members and ministers—to do his work (2 Corinthians 11:1–15). Satan zeros in on people who feel wronged or overlooked or whose ideas, opinions, or ambitions are denied. He uses individuals to criticize and undermine others. To avoid becoming unsuspecting victims of Satan’s negative attitudes that he beams at those in his sights (Ephesians 2:2), we need to be alert, humble, and stay close to God (1 Peter 5:6–9) by studying and meditating on His word (Psalm 119:97–98).

Self-plagiarized from previous comments published in August 2006 and March 2010, and probably some other times I haven't noticed yet. Will Winnail EVER start caring enough about LCG brethren to start writing fresh comments relating to the concerns of today?
I used to think it blasphemous that you would say that the most important god in the church was Satan, but no longer. Satan is all we hear about, week after week, seeking to devour us. If they preached Christ risen and what he actually taught, members would be secure in their standing with God and would have no fear of Satan whatsoever.
Great job Doug of describing YOURSELF!! You CANNOT possibly defend yourself against our TRUE observations of how SICK and TWISTED **YOU** are so why not blame OTHERS??? After all, it couldn’t possibly be YOU with the problem now could it Dougy?? Why not GROW A PAIR and take a good long look in the mirror!! YOU ARE SATAN!! You do HIS bidding after all, now don’t you Doug?? YOUR FRUITS are CLEARLY EVIDENT by this INSANE rant!!
If only someone hadn’t created Lucifer we wouldn’t have satan. Or upon Lucifer becoming Satan had annihilated him we wouldn’t have this problem.
No, but let this cosmic opera play out again. Where the hero defeats the villain to give the villain power to defeat the villain again release him for a little while and then defeat him again.
I mean the plan really is perfection. No flaws in logic, reason, or ethics.
Remember what it used to be like every election season? Uggghhh! The political ads! Outrageous bold faced lies. Well, guess what, folks!
Since everything you could say, think and do, every choice, has become politicized, we have all of this divisive noise in the background telling outrageous lies about any particular alternative that you may be pondering! It's like a constant election season, and the sheer divisiveness of it all is tearing everything we hold dear apart.
It is a pattern into which people have been molded, and it affects every aspect of life! "They" (the collectors of acolytes) want you to declare yourself for one side or the other. We are not permitted to be neutral on any issue, or we are seen as being on the opposite side.
It's time to exert just a modicum of common sense, and to ask, "Is any of this worth killing each other for? Middle of the roaders, centrists, need to begin speaking up about the destructiveness of intolerance. Of course the irony of it all is that we here are privy to a church group known for its vehement intolerance that is now calling for unity amongst their members. We know they mean unity as defined and dictated by their leaders. That kind of unity is repression, and we have all experienced the down side of that.
I actually hope for more disunity to take place in the ACOGs, so these groups melt away and their members can transition to something better. But, I hope and pray for something which unifies our country soon so that we can avoid similar destruction, because there is nothing better than the USA to which to transition.
Winnail's post is fitting for the Halloween season. Winnail pays homage to the power of Satan while discounting the power of Jesus (by failing to mention it). Winnail, prowling around his COG, throws dark cover over the fact his people could be secure in Jesus; instead, he gives the power and the glory to Satan to work his will on them.
While Winnail’s writing failed to mention Jesus once, it’s difficult to imagine a pastor, of the ilk Winnail mocks as being "Christian falsely so-called", writing a piece on the need to beware of Satan without assuring readers about Victorious Jesus, Savior Jesus, who does it all for salvation and offering proof contained in a verse such as John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.
Winnail sows strife, suffering, and worry– he wants the people to be afraid to examine and discuss the words and fruits of his church by saying that is what Satan is trying to get them to do, despite 1 John 4:1. Winnail deceives his followers by labeling the groups that actually preach about the power of Savior Jesus to save as being the servants of Satan.
Winnail's worship to Satan is indoctrinating his people to behold Satan's power instead of Jesus - to fear Satan, not to rest in Jesus.
He forgot to say do not read the bible without our literature lest you think something I do not think you members should think from reading just the bible without my churches rails and mental walls.

If you read his posts there, you'll see that he kept the Feast with the Thielites, and he considers Bob a prophet. I can't tell you, though, whether Bob fully endorses him or whether he's a maverick CCOGer the way Thiel was a maverick in LCG.

And although Doug will not admit it, he is being used by Satan to promote a Mickey Mouse millennium with "another Jesus" very soon to reign on earth with his little helpers: Doug included. Then, there is his belief in a 3rd resurrection, etc. Could such ideas like these be a part of stirring up strife by spreading gossip, rumors, and lies?
Jesus Christ did identify those professing Christian ministers that are not His as follows:
John 10:12 "But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
:13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep."
Former WCG hireling Doug and his group, along with so many others, are all in a scattered state for the reasons Jesus Christ mentioned. Doug, like another Christian, James, is being led by another spirit within him:
"Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?" James 4:5
James admitted it; Doug has not.
Doug, like Paul, another Christian, has evil present with him:
"I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me." Romans 7:21
Paul admitted that; Doug has not.
But, will Doug, himself, while warning his followers, continue to stir "up strife by spreading gossip, rumors, and lies?" Is Doug snagged (2 Tim 2:26) by Satan and being used by Satan, while being aware of it?
Time will tell...

Doug does have "another Jesus" in mind, as he believes in a very soon coming to reign on earth 1,000 years of his Jesus, while ignoring numerous verses telling us that the Jesus of the Bible will be elsewhere for a while that He must remain at His Father's right hand.
Does Doug lack faith in the Jesus of the Bible: the one mentioned in John 10:28?
It is God the Father who is working out all things, by His power, through His Son:
"But to us [there is but] one God, the Father, of whom [are] all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom [are] all things, and we by him." I Cor 8:6
Well, Doug did admit to the existence of a God by writing this: "...we need to be alert, humble, and stay close to God (1 Peter 5:6–9 ) by studying and meditating on His word (Psalm 119:97–98 )..."
Of course, is Doug's God, "another God," one that is some "God of the Old Testament?" But that God of the Old Testament is God the Father, not Jesus or even "another Jesus."
If Doug thinks that Jesus lied to us with John 10:28, Doug need not fear, because there is One greater!
"My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father’s hand." John 10:29
Doug knows that Satan does have power and a will to exercise that power in one's life:
"And [that] they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will." 2 Tim 2:26
Has Doug been snagged in that "snare of the devil?"
