Now we know why the world's foremost Bible scholar has a belief system that is so superficial and empty!
Should we be surprised? After all, his Ph.D. is from an Indian diploma mill with its extensive research library located in a trailer, a trailer he never set foot in for any research.

Stop picking on Bob!
I understand that in his course work for his doctorate of theology, they actually let him have a pencil that had an eraser on it, and that he got extra credit of one GPA, for erasing the chalk board on a regular basis.
Why do I have this vision in my mind of almost arrested for Sabbath Keeping, doubly blessed little Bobby Thiel sitting on a stool facing the classroom corner wearing a huge dunce cap on his head?
Perhaps little Bobby Thiel can make one of his Cartoon Bob animations to straighten us all out on his academic record and theological education achievements. I can see Cartoon Bob's arms waving frantically in this cartoon!
Richard
I doubt very much if they allowed him a pencil with a sharp point on it. He might stab himself as his arms and hands flail about.
I want to know where the prophet got his degree in economics, history, and science as he seems to run off at the mouth about them a lot...oh, wait, he copies and pastes information that fits his agenda.
I was mystified with this post, and confused.
Then I realised it was about everyone’s favourite cog leader, hence the mystery and confusion, the ever entertaining Dr Bob Thiel.
So desperate for recognition and an audience he started his own ‘church’.
The Bob Church of God, ‘Continuing’ with this theme that is ‘The Plain Truth’.
He reminds me of the Ruprecht character created by Steve Martin in "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels".
Fair go for Bob, his science credentials are legit, it's his theological training that is suspect!
And you never see Bob use his ThD, always the PhD, which is odd -- write a book on Armstrongised church history, and use a science, not theology, credential. Wasn't the ThD in church history?
I'm inclined to agree that Bob learned something and conducted legitimate and useful research to be awarded his PhD. With his ThD, I'm more inclined to think that it was his attempt to have his version of Church History acknowledged in the same way - even if the recognizing body was an unaccredited Indian institution, elevating his thesis to the level of, say, Dr Hoeh's Compendium.
Isn’t this the exact same way HWA was educated about theology..??
According to Ralph Orr's account of BI and the COG, HWA wanted to get two things published: his rewrite of Allen's book, and his own (yet unwritten) book against evolution. Neither was acceptable to his intended publisher.
