David C. Pack’s Wild Card
David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God is at a loss as to what the heck-fire is going on. He is desperately scrambling to find “anything” in the Bible to explain why nothing ever happens the way he teaches it.
Tammuz. Av. Elul. The Trinity of Consistent Failure.
Facing the reality that he is a biblical fraud and God is not using him cannot be considered. The little snowflake world he has built up for himself, enabled by "ministers" who surround him with pillows, will crash and burn spectacularly if the truth ever becomes fully realized.
This ambiguous update in Member Services reveals his fading courage as the clock ticks down to his next whopper-of-baloney, which will be on the Feast of Trumpets this coming Monday.
Prophecy Update – Elul 24 (September 20, 2022)
With Trumpets getting closer, the natural conclusion is that we are out of time. Where and how to place the initial short Kingdom has been the ultimate enigma! The week we await clearly includes Trumpets, as before explained. The passing of time made that evident.
The only question now is how much time could the long Day of the Lord envelop? Like Joshua’s long day of 48 hours (Joshua 10:13-14), could the 84 hours that form the bad half of the week be reckoned as a single day? In other words, might the good half of the week start before Trumpets, with the bad half entirely within it?
This enigmatic day “which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night” (Zechariah 14:6-7) holds the key to why there is still a little more time. So much happens in “that day.” An astonishing array of verses and facts—up to 60 now since we learned how to look for them—reveal that all seven seals are all ENTIRELY inside Trumpets. All the good things that follow the seals are also inside it. The 3.5 days of evening and morning sacrifices precede this ultra-long day. No wonder there are no more twice-daily sacrifices once the single day of Trumpets arrives.
The prospect of waiting a year remains as difficult to believe as ever!
“The passing of time made that evident.”
As it always does. The passing of time reveals what is true and what is false. The passing of time reveals who is true and what is false.
Is David C. Pack true? Time has already told.

I grew up playing the card game Uno with my family during summer vacations. It became a camping tradition by Coleman lamp light that I looked forward to and have fond memories of.
David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God uses Bible verses like he is playing Uno with the church. He enjoys throwing down a Draw 2, an enabler adds a Draw 2, and yet another enabler adds another Draw 2 that all pile into the brethren's laps.
He has been using “Joshua’s long day” as his Wild Card for years before I realized he was even playing a game. Whenever a literal use of numbers or days does not fly, Joshua’s Long Day…saves the day! Hold on to it until it is absolutely necessary.
The Wild Card gets you out of a jam. David C. Pack is in the biggest jam of his life. He is a false prophet and false apostle who can never be right because God will not allow it.
Dave is also a fan of the Reverse card. Reverse. Reverse. Reverse. Reverse.
He will thunder, “When God says XYZ, then maybe we should believe Him. His word is purified seven times. If He said XYZ, then you know what? Maybe he really meant XYZ!”
However, when it suits his purpose, he will Reverse and say, “When God says XYZ, then maybe it could mean YZX because if X overlaps with Y, then Z is a type of A.”
Whoa. We got dangerously close to doing math there. My apologies.
The point is: David C. Pack takes the Bible literally when he needs to or takes the Bible figuratively when he needs to. Now, we are back to seven days does not mean seven days, but 3 ½ days with 3 ½ days overlapping and compressed into Trumpets.
You sad little man. Though you may throw down a Draw 4 with a smug grin, everyone else on the table has one, too. Eventually, the messy pile that you started will fall back into your hands.
This new list of 60 can be thrown on the burn pile with all the other lists Dave has wasted his time generating over the years. Even the hill of beans is laughing.
It is probably best that the list of 60 items never leaves the Third Floor Executive Imaginarium because, by the time Sabbath Services comes around, the black Sharpie will run out of ink unlisting the list.
Notice the “3.5 days” is thrown out as a possibility but not with a solid declaration. He lacked the courage to "make it plain" and, thus, open for interpretation.
You could count Trumpets minus 3 ½ to be TODAY. Or you could count Trumpets minus 3 ½ to be tomorrow morning. Either way, David C. Pack will be proven wrong by the passage of time, making what he is to be evident.
At every step, I declare David C. Pack a fraud. At every step, he proves me right. I do not want to be right. I want it to be over. I want him to stop. I want the people stuck inside RCG to see with their eyes and hear with their ears that which is “plain” before them.
Please consider how much you put into your green envelopes beginning on Monday. Consider.

Just to be clear: Feast of Trumpets is not a feast but a sabbath, a memorial of clamor. Trumpets are not specified.
A memorial of blowing of trumpets for Dave is like a blowing of hot air out both ends. Strangely enough I actually ran across a double deck of Uno cards just today. My children are gone and so I passed them on to the Goodwill. Paul said when I was a child I spake as a child I thought as a child I understood as a child but when I became a man I put away childish things. For me Dave and his childishness is like a pack of playing cards which go flying up into Alice's face at her mock trial, but at this assault she awakens from her dream and is no longer in wonderland. Oh please wake up and grow up RCG!
After Trumpets passes with nothing happening...
Don’t worry brethren the picture has never been more clear.
The only millennium Pack and his followers will see is a 1000 part sermon series on the end of the world that refuses to end.
Dave's current problems would never have happened if he had just stuck to teaching Christian values, and had let the unknowable field of prophecy alone until time and fulfillment took its own course. Potentially, however, there is more glamour associated with prophecy than with simple Christian living, because someone who actually has insider information about prophecy can appear to be part of the control structure.
So, some risk takers roll the dice, attempt to suss it all out, teach their best guesses to their people, because if they end up actually guessing right, the shot to their status will be huge. In COGdom, if one of the prophecy guessers did get it right, their group would appear to be the missing specially blessed "correct" splinter, theoretically attracting all who feel spiritually committed to being part of the right one. The fact that this would have happened in an Armstrong-based group would also appear to validate Armstrongism in a way that not even HWA was ever validated!
There seem to be two approaches to prophecy policy within post-HWA Armstrongism. One approach is long game. Stick to HWA's basic prophecy outline, carefully explaining that it is still correct, but fulfillment has been delayed. Don't harp on end time themes, but do occasionally give a nod of acknowledgment to them. Comment occasionally about world events. Slow and steady. A leader can string people along for long term using this method, which was actually the method officially adopted by the WCG following the failure of 1972-75. Dave is not playing this game. He's going for the short game, most likely because he personally doesn't have much time left. Like HWA, all viable successors have left him. Jesus returning during his lifetime is therefore an imperative to him. Keeping members constantly on edge, believing that nothing matters, because Jesus is returning tonight or tomorrow, is perhaps the strongest possible leverage he could exert on their financial resources, resources he desperately needs for the survival of his organization. The advantage of short games is that they pay off nearly instantly as compared to the long games. The disadvantage is that there is less finesse involved, and they can quickly unravel as people become frightened or panic.
If members' opinions of Dave change, turning against him, probably a substantial number of his members will seek out another splinter, or go independent. This would provide a slight improvement to their mental health and sense of wellbeing unless the splinter they chose ended up being another of the extreme groups. I'd personally hope that such members like football and don't want to have to fund somebody's jet, but people are going to do what people are going to do.

******
Can RDD (Razzle-Dazzle Dave) cite even one of those verses to prove his ridiculous statement? No. This must be another one of RDD's reversal-reversals, since the 7 Seals are an overall view of the of the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth, where the 7 Trumps like the 7 Vials are both entirely inside those 7 Seals.
Who revealed that stupidity? Another Jesus: the one that guides Doug Winnail? Another god?
There is at least 1,000 years between the time of the 7th Trump and the pouring out of the 1st Vial.
That 1,000 years is enough time for Doug Winnail's Mickey Mouse Millennium, with another Jesus reigning over both RDD & RDW (Repeater Doug Winnail) on earth, during that time; however, that would just be more stupidity and confusion; wouldn't it be?
Talk about when the crap hits the fan?
When will these 2 "spiritually blind" babes/hirelings (like Shabi, Franks, Flurry, Coulter, Wineland, et al) who fled (with tail between legs) from the former WCG learn about the time difference and what really goes on between the Wrath of the Lamb (7 Trumps) and the Wrath of God (7 Vials), the Father, The God of the Old Testament?
Time will tell...

This entire theory is baseless if he/they actually believe what comes out of his mouth right?
I mean this entire site is based on the theory that those in the cog's are all intentionally trying to destroy others but personally i have long found that premise lacking. You have to find signs of intentionality before you point to corruption dont you think?
Current leaders slitting their own throats professionally seems to be the opposite of this premise. DCP's story is like the ultimate example of somebody who does the opposite of a "master plan" of deception. Like if this is a plan short or long then wheres the payoff exactly?
Bottom line there is no jet here. Just a pretty lawn outside of the hermitage.
It is possible no matter how unlikely that these cog'ers just "believe what they believe". I know crazy. But if true then to some degree it turns the heat up on this site and others like it. Why would you attack people just for what they believe? Or for the way they "are"? Since when was that a new standard for how the "good" people are to behave?
Ive long since felt any urgency for any association even secularly but to me that just seems enough. Isnt that the best appraoch in a world of so many different beliefs and lifestyles?

The difference is that DCP is lying to his members. It's obvious lies and for those of us that know the members that are still attending, It's impossible if you love someone to watch them suffer, and they are suffering. If a building was burning, would you just watch or would you try to save the ones you love still inside. Some of us just cannot and will not stand by and watch it all happen. We'll fight to the very end to be there for them like voices through the valley, calling out to help them. We will not stop!
It is what it is!

Your father has destroyed my family! You can sit there all you want and justify his lies and false teachings but I know what a despicable man that he is.
My parents believe your father's shit wholeheartedly as if God himself spoke it to them.
Your father has financially ruined them causing them to lose their house and any retirement they had to sit on as they age. They gave everything to him due to his damnable "common" teaching which is not a requirement for Christians today.
My parents sit there week after week listing to his damnable lies expecting Christ to return in a few days. There is not one thing that your father teaches to his followers which is New Covenant based. NOT ONE DAMN THING!
Your father has no idea what Christ teaches or even what he accomplished on the cross for us all. My parents refuse to listen to the simple truths of salvation through Christ and instead cling to the damnable lies of your father weighing them down with the law.
So keep on making excuses for your father as he buys more properties with members' money just to stroke his maleficent ego.
Fuck your father as he lives a life surrounded by green lawns, nice homes, and all expenses paid, while parents struggle to survive on Social Security AFTER they tithe on it to your father.
Fuck your father and everything he stands for!
Fuck his green lawns!
Fuck his flower gardens!
Fuck his fine buildings!
Most of all FUCK his demonic teachings!

AMEN!
I'm going through much the same thing right now. My world is turned upside down, anything I say is to no avail. I guess we're all in the same boat and it's sinking. But I keep hanging on to the thought that God's mercy never fails and maybe he will make lemonade out of lemons.
I'd be careful Sundown making any effort to minimize the damage dcp has caused and continues to cause with his fake ministry and church here on Banned.
Well, RCG might just be the gene pool cleansing itself. If that is indeed the case, then why even worry about the members, or the leader?
1:05. Thank you! I couldn’t agree more.
My brother followed Pack from church organization to organization. He has given hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years to this man believing he was giving it to God. While it did not all necessarily go into Pack’s pocket, it built his nice home, gave him a car and ministerial perks. It gave him a huge property that he gets to walk around on as he dreams up his next sermon. He has beautiful offices and buildings filled with the finest furnishings and art. He has men at his beckon call as their worshipful master.
My brother now relies on me to help him survive. When he got sick and couldn’t give more money the church, the minister and his church friends turned their backs on him. He gave Pack his life savings and retirement because he believes Pack was speaking for God. My brother is penniless, sick and can’t comprehend why his church abandoned him.
While I know it’s right that a son defend his father, it is also wrong to defend a father who has spent decades abusing the brethren like he has (even in his WCG years). Packs entire ministry is a fraud and built entirely on lies. There has never been sound doctrine preached by the man, particularly when he started RCG.
Thank goodness for this blog and those that continue to speak out against Pack’s false teachings, Please do not stop!
“ Well, RCG might just be the gene pool cleansing itself. If that is indeed the case, then why even worry about the members, or the leader?”
Are you serious? Why worry? My husband is in Pack’s cult and has almost destroyed our marriage because he wants to give all he earns to Pack. He believes Christ is returning in a few days and no longer cares for his family including his teenage children who stopped attending church with him.
I care because I love my husband and want him to wake up.
I care because I don’t want our children hating their father as he shuts himself off from them.
I care because I watched my friend's elderly mother give him all of her social security checks and die penniless and abandoned by her church.
I care because I want this madness to stop.
Somehow I get the impression that Sundown Kid believes his father is a beloved figure of the church. He was despised by members in New York, Ohio, and the other places he was a pastor over because he was so abusive.
