I lived in Israel for two years during the premiership of Menachem Begin, whom I believe was one of the best PMs Israel has produced. I never got to see him until I moved to London when I unintentionally met him while on a ‘visit’ to Downing Street as a young tourist. I got within 2-3 metres from him, he was in a car and very recognisable, parked as he was outside number 10. Security was present but very light. Them were the days. Never got inside number 10, didn’t have the contacts or cash or presence as an Evangelical had, even one of Herbies statue, lol. The world has changed enormously since, people have passed from the scene and we are at a time unrecognisable to how we all thought or envisioned it would be.

300 days travelling over many countries and years achieved in fact - zilch. They are all dead now and current leaders wouldn't have a clue re Armstrong. Except perhaps king Charles and he would disown all if he knew the fake apostles real credentials as fast as he disowned his brother Andrew

Isaiah 40:10 - referred to in part 3 - Armstrong refers to 'work before Him' as being his worldwide work prophesied. He uses KJV
KJV ''Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him''
but from 2 literal versions
YLT version ''Lo, the Lord Jehovah with strength cometh, And His arm is ruling for Him, Lo, His hire is with Him, and His wage before Him.''
LSV ''Behold, Lord YHWH comes with strength, "" And His arm is ruling for Him, "" Behold, His hire [is] with Him, and His wage before Him.''

Another example of the smart presenter prophesying things that aren't there

Yes a different time for sure. One is amazed at Armstrong's brazen self confidence in watching these 3 tapes. He had no idea of things prophetical, but acted as if he was an important messenger.

Duke of York has not been disowned by his brother the King. He's currently 'retired' from the public eye.

He’s had his million plus dollar allowance stopped so far as I know , his security detail stopped, and been asked to vacate the fancy mansion he’s been living in at tax payer expense for many years, and all royal duties ceased
Not too far off of being disowned but perhaps a better word could have been used

Remembering the heyday of HWA and Worldwide. I remember being told all the great accomplishments being done by HWA on his foreign travels. Sadly, it turned out to be smoke & mirrors. No spreading the Gospel of Christ and his sacrifice, just millions of tithe dollars spent with no real return.

That tithe & offering (travel the world) money could have been spent on buying small buildings for local church congregations. Should have invested in it's own members. Oh well

One man's accomplishments turn out to be another's damages.

The massive amount of member funds supporting an extravegant lifestyle of best hotels , gift giving, and best dinners out over many years is no gospel message. And in any event Armstrong’s gospel of prophecy is not the gospel we read in the Bible making it totally futile. What an absolute farce and vanity it all was.

Indeed it was not the gospel we read of - amazing it went in for so long

Well Done about time people know this

btw. If this documentary proves anything (if there is any truth in it) they might just be onto the rise of the catholic (pagan) church in Rome.......nck

Are any of those expensive gifts that HWA gave away on Ebay or Craigslist , on sale for the holidays?

I know, you start rereading the bible and start seeing how Paul and those other apostles were treated and the difficulty it was to preach the gospel. And these guys flying around in jets, staying in all the finest hotels around the world. It's a different scenario. Their gospel of prophecy is indeed futile.

I saw the Griffin limited edition yesterday with original 1969 package for about 9000 dollars Tonto....

If you had achieved something relevant in life you could have been awarded it for free..... Nck

Travel is often useful in providing temporary escape from one's figurative demons. It's also a way of charging up the batteries. HWA badly needed escape from the repercussions of the Disappointment of 1975, the revolt of about 40% of his ministers, the loss of GTA to "the work", and the court ordered receivership. I believe he made these trips because he could. He just needed the personal validation. In sheer magnitude, it couldn't quite equal leading the church to the place of safety and ultimately to meet and greet Jesus Christ, but as a purely physical substitute it was probably as close as he could come to that.
