UCG posted this about their recent summer camp. Notice anything missing in what they taught their kids about Jesus?
One of our camp goals was to enrich the children’s lives by giving them opportunities to build relationships with other children who share common beliefs, deepen their relationship with God as well as experience a variety of challenging activities. Each morning the entire camp was in Christian living and music classes or adult staff Bible study. Classes emphasized our camp theme “Building Your Foundation of Jesus.” Campers learned about Jesus Christ being the “Word” (John 1:1) who was in the Beginning, was with God, and created all things (Genesis 1:1).The goal of our staff was to teach the children who Jesus Christ was—that He was the voice from the burning bush, and that He led the children through the Red Sea and wilderness for 40 years. He was there in the beginning—and then came, lived a perfect life, set us an example of how to live, and died for our sins. He will return and His Kingdom will come. He is the one they are to build their life on—the one who God the Father appointed to build His Church—and His love for them is everlasting.

I am more appalled that they let their girls dress in Daisy Dukes! No wonder women in the church dress so sluty anymore.
You are an idiot, 7:36! Those are good, clean church teenagers, simply getting a second life from their Levis or Wranglers so their parents can send more money to HQ! If you could actually call them Daisy Dukes, they are an example of correct modest use, Slutty usage is cutting them so high that the white pockets hang down a couple inches, and wearing them with stilletto heel sandals and a sleeveless blouse with the top three or four buttons undone, and the tails tied together above a pierced navel!

@7:36pm is yet another CoG pervert who can’t keep his eyes off of women and young girls and blames them for his own shortcomings.
OP is trolling, Bob. Don't take the bait.
Casual clothing gives a feeling of freedom. So of course the tyrants will weep and gnash their teeth at such a sight.
Frankly, I’m surprised and pleased by the emphasis on Jesus, though the dynamic new creation He is currently working in us is vital. They focus mostly in the past and future roles of Christ, but still do point out we are to build our foundation on Him.
OK, I'll bite. In the little text there is no mention of Jesus actually being God. If this were a write up by the Baptist Church I would of course overlook that as simply something that is understood anyway and there is no need to mention it. But with Armstrongists you never quite know because of the historical influence of Arianism on their theology. They should take every opportunity to confess that Jesus is God.
HWA confessed that Jesus is God in the MOA, page 211. In fact, the idea that Jesus is God is an essential part of Armstrongist soteriology. HWA has always asserted that since Jesus is God, his sacrificed life was worth more than all of his creatures so he could die for everyone.
But Arianism, common among Millerite derived denominations, has a way. For instance, it is active in the emphasis of Moses and the de-emphasis of Jesus. It can be seen in the deconstruction of the Doctrine of Grace. It can be seen in the apotheosis of the Torahic Law.
My two cents ...

Did they teach them that a person must repent and turn from worldly ways; confess with their mouths and believe in their hearts that Jesus is
savior AND Lord and that God raised him from the dead to be born again? And receive the Holy Spirit and WALK, following Jesus commandments: Love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself? You know, the narrow path. And that Jesus is the ONLY mediator between God and man. NOT your church leader!
Why was comment not blocked?
Maybe the reader expected UCG to bring up demons, after what happened in CGA.
But UCG focuses on Jesus more than a lot of scoffers think.
Not a UCG camp picture, they would have all been wearing UYC t-shirts.
There isn’t a widely accepted single word (yet) in English that specifically describes a person who believes an AI-generated image is real, but there are a few related terms and phrases, and this area is evolving quickly. Here are some options and ideas:
⸻
🔍 Related Existing Terms:
1. Gullible – A general word for someone easily deceived, but too broad and judgmental.
2. Misled – Describes the state of being tricked, but not a noun for the person.
3. Deceived – Same issue; it focuses on the result, not the type of person.
4. Believer (in context) – E.g., “AI image believer,” though vague on its own.
⸻
🧪 Newer or Emerging Phrases (Descriptive, not single words):
• AI-duped
• Deepfake believer
• Synthetic realist – Has been used in academic discussions to describe someone who interprets synthetic media as authentic.
• Image-realism bias – A term used in cognitive psychology to describe the tendency to believe realistic images, even when they’re fake.
• Prompt-susceptible or synthetic-susceptible – These would be coined terms.
⸻
🧠 Possible Coinage (if you want to make one):
If you’re looking to create a term, you might consider:
• Syntheverist (from “synthetic” + “verist”, i.e., realism)
• Renderblind (unable to distinguish rendered from real)
• Promptnaïf (from “prompt” + “naïf”)
• Genrealist (believer in generative realism)
Coined terms often catch on in tech and media discourse when they are punchy and intuitive.
Do they teach that Christ also leads every Christian individually rather than the church in general, which in ACOG-land means exclusively through his ministers.
As 10:33 said, this is an AI-generated picture. None of those kids exist. They are not wearing those clothes, and they are not UCG members. Gullible is an appropriate word.
Got it. Pictures are not pictures any more. They are simply illustrations. The thing is, the campers do look like clean cut teenagers from a church camp, so AI lived up to its name in terms of compliance for whatever request.
I still believe there is something wrong with 7:36!

This wasn't referring to you, but to the very first person who complained about the dress of the kids. All I asked the Ai to do was draw me a picture of teenagers at summer camp. He should have seen the first one! LOL
