23 Things Herbert W. Armstrong Got Wrong
Pastor General David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God (RCG)
paid homage to his "father in the gospel" by explaining 23 prophetic understandings that he got wrong.
Herbert W. Armstrong, Pastor General of the Worldwide Church of God (WCG),
was forbidden by God to understand bible prophecy correctly, despite being an apostle
and the Messenger to the Sixth Era who led a church of over 100,000 members for fifty years.
There are only 23 examples because the Pastor General humbly admitted he was reciting HWA's errors without a prepared list. He confessed that there are many more. In contrast, only Pastor General David C. Pack understands bible prophecy accurately because the Book of Revelation and Daniel have been unsealed to him.
Please disregard the painful truth that he has been wrong
about the return of Jesus Christ 135 times since August 2013.

Herbert Armstrong was much closer to the Bible on David Pack's points than David Pack.
David Pack would not recognize biblical truth if it bit him in the ....................
Oh man, As they would say at the feast, "Why are we here brethren?"
Truth in advertising would actually be: David Pack: "Herbert W. Armstrong did NOT understand anything, and neither do I!"
HWA did not understand anything because God allowed him to go down as a failure as punishment for the sins he inflicted upon Dorothy. Can we all realize the glory he would have received in the Kingdom if in 1975 all of us would have risen with him to meet Jesus Christ mid air??? Peter and Paul would be high-fiving him, and the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band would have been playing "Free Bird"!!!
It would have been awesome! But, he really screwed up. And so has Dave with his regularly failing prophecies. God does not validate deliberate and flagrant failure!

BB, I love Sweet Home Alabama. A stand out, and went I can, watch it on YT.
Yeah HWA blew it and so does Dave, big time, every time lol.
Sad to see what has transpired in this movement. Built on a foundation of sand. And yet some still cling to its deeply flawed doctrine/theologies. As you said we are ‘free bird’ now, those who have broken free of its hold. Embrace the freedom we have in Christ and live. Best wishes and don’t forget to rev those V8s and V twins out there folks.
More like Zepplin's Stairway to Heaven. Oh wait a minute, they didn't believe in....

Herbert Armstrong ordained Dave Pack, so that's at least ONE major mistake by HWA.
Pack has not taken into consideration Maori cosmology. In other words, he does not know squat.
Sometimes your sarcasm, BB, It’s just a bit too good. I almost believed you there.
In any case, accepting for the sake of argument the inspiration of the Bible and the idea that Armstrong was at all sincere, Armstrong‘s mistake was that he was a Christian. He started from that perspective, and then read backwards in the Bible.
But Herbert paid good wages though. None ever complain about that.
David Pack as a young minister was involved in the 'WCG spirit/exodist dept' and it's clear to me his behaviour now is somehow connected to that experience.
Do we need ant more evidence than this that the Worldwide experience and all that followed was and is a farce?
Paul, the apostle said: " 18 Since many boast according to the flesh, I will boast also.
19 For you, being so wise, tolerate the foolish gladly.
20 For you tolerate it if anyone enslaves you, if anyone devours you, if anyone takes advantage of you, if anyone exalts himself, if anyone hits you in the face
2 Corinthians 11: 19-20
Thanks, Lee! Every time I read something written by an Armstrong based "prophet" or "Bible-based analyzer of the news" (as they prefer, skillfully sidestepping their real moniker of false prophet) it occurs to me that the stalwarts simply must have some deep existential angst over the fact that the things which HWA promised were soon to unfold have not, and do not come to pass. Some of them genuinely may not realize, even 50 years after the fact, that he used a faulty hook with which to reel them in. They invoke Gideon and his small group, or Noah with his 100 years to get out the warning, but I wonder if they really even believe that those examples actually apply. Those comparisons are like salve that washes off while you are body-surfing in the salty Pacific. Their last hope relating to HWA's interpretation of the Olivet Prophecy vis a vis the rebirth of Israel and the US "baby boomer" generation is quickly slipping away! Anyone who has favorite rock stars from the classic era realizes that! HWA's original target for this, the WW-II gen are gone. How are the alphabet COGs even going to adjust the placement of that bookend once the baby boomers are gone? It can't possibly apply to Generation X, the "kids" who themselves are now approaching retirement age.
Of course, at any time in recent history, it has been possible to lift certain conditions from context and rearrange and repurpose them to make it appear remotely possible that HWA was right. Just enough to be scary for COGlodytes! My personal view is that everything has been going downhill since Robert Mitchum died! Now, his look-alike son James has also gone to that great big horse ranch in the sky! Guess we all have our heroes and villains. The Mitchums were many things, but they were not false prophets (or false ascenders).

Losing His Marbles, Messing Up His Religion
When he first started his Restored Church cult, David C. Pack said that he was going to restore everything that Herbert W. Armstrong had taught at the time of HWA's death on January 16, 1986.
However, over the years, David Pack lost all his marbles and went totally bonkers.
Now, David Pack is messing up the church's teachings even worse than the other false religious leaders had that David used to criticize for messing up the church's teachings.
