Ron Weinland Juror Says: "...I am not willing to donate my life for some pile of sh*t like Ron Weinland..."

The jurors that convicted Ron Weinland rock!

June 17, 2012 at 08:40

Which brings me to my next point. I have three honorable discharges. One from the Navy and two from the Army. I did what I did and was good at it. I was recalled for war and that is why there are two from the Army. Enough said. I paid my dues. Glad I did it and even happier I am done and still in one piece. I also never talk about my military service nor brag about it but felt I should mention it because I was insulted during the trial. Webb stood in court pointing at the flag and wrapped his egotistical ass in that flag. “That flag stands for freedom of religion”, he said. Well let me tell all of you that I am not willing to donate my life for some pile of shit like Ron Weinland to abuse that freedom. Although many have. It makes me sick and pissed knowing that many have given their lives just so Ron can rip people off. Go ahead and give me a death threat or whatever type of voodoo it is that you use Ron. I like stuff like that. You may be able to b.s. and bully little old ladies and lost souls, but I don’t think you will have much luck with me.

On a more upbeat note. Let’s look at the positives.

#1. I will be keeping an eye on you and the “Clan” and holding all accountable as well.
#2. The IRS and prosecution will be keeping a better eye on you.
#3. You were caught and convicted.
#4.You are going to prison.
#5. Others are seeing what you really are.
#6. I feel damn good about being one of the twelve that put you behind bars.
#7. I know exactly how the other jurors felt about you too.
#8. The U.S. Government has specialists and unlimited resources to hunt down and find any and all hidden assets you have. Even if they have to put the rest of your clan in prison to find them. I know how it works so my suggestion to you is to quit lying and come clean.
#9. The extensive church funded travel is over.
#10. You have been exposed and are on the public radar. That makes pulling your junk a little more difficult.
#11. Everyone associated with you is also exposed.
#12. These others can, and likely will, be looked at.
#13. You think you can go over seas and hide stuff.
#14. They will find it there as well.
#15. Your game is OVER.
#16. When you get out of jail you will be special enough to re-offend.
#17. They seem to like little bald men in the pokey.
#18. They really seem to like men who beat up on little old ladies.
#19. Your bald head is easy to fit wigs on so you could be a red head one day and a blonde the next.
#20. You will be a novelty in there and a lot of dudes would like you just for that…..being yourself. True Love!!!

A. Boocher: "Will History Be Repeated?"

Will History be repeated?

I am not a historian, but I read a lot of history. What we are seeing today is a magnification of what happened in the early years of what I will refer to as “the story” of Christianity.

First, I want to point out that I personally believe in the existence of an “eternal intelligence” that is the source of everything that exists, since “total nothingness” cannot produce something that has existence. I believe this an over simplification of what is defined as “God”.

I personally do not get involved in arguing over the many ideas and thoughts that people have regarding this “eternal intelligence” beyond the point that it is “perfect” in producing a universe that is so integrated that everything that exists fulfills a role in the “present condition” at any moment in history.

Having said that I will point out that much of what is going on in the area of religion today happened in the “early years” of the beginning of what is loosely defined as “Christianity”. It doesn’t matter what we believe about the source of “Christianity” but it should be noted that there was a “battle for survival” that began when the information regarding Jesus and those defined as “apostles” was being recorded in those early writings. This battle dealt with many of the same questions being asked today. There were “Cults” and “Critics” going head to head, creating confusion over the same issues that are still yet to be resolved. Since the teachings of the “apostles” were the primary source for Christian beliefs in this battle for survival there was a need for development of “authoritative” letters to be used as a guide to what was “orthodox” and what was “heresy”. These letters became the New Testament and were used along with the establishment of an “authoritative” system to bring order and stability into this “Christianity”, but those who were actively involved in this “battle” never succeeded in a complete rooting out of the “heresy” and confusion promoted by the “Cults” and “Critics”. History reveals the ongoing battle for survival and while what the early church believed and understood may not recognized; what is defined as “Christianity” is still struggling to fill the “spiritual” longing in our human nature.

I personally believe it is natural for a human being to need a belief that promotes moral standards that exceeds the human expectations the most perfect mind can imagine, but we also need to recognize that such perfection will never be realized in this present life. It is this realization that has promoted the Christian theology of a resurrected life that enters into a system where such perfection can be experienced.  We as an individual can choose to believe it or choose not to believe it, but as long as there are human beings with fleshly desires the continuation of the battle between the “Cults” and “Critics” will be repeated over and over again.

The World's Most Humble Man

This was sent to me today.  There is a movement on one of the legalistic yahoo groups to start up a list of praise worthy things to say about HWA.  It is to counteract all of the blogs and web sites that ridicule and mock all things HWA. It's a virtual slobberfest.  Do you agree that this story portrays the man as the worlds humblest apostle?

Your note below reminded me of the Feast in Eugene in 1983. It was the 50th. anniversary of the beginning of the Eugene congregation, and Mr. HWA made an appearance at the Feast site. One evening, everyone was gathered to hear him speak. There was quite a crowd standing around. Soon, Mr. HWA entered, led by a group of young ministers who quickly walked through the crowd of people to the front of the room, leaving Mr. HWA to find his own way. Mr. HWA followed behind walking more slowly as his vision wasn't very good. He was carrying his large bible under his arm, and soon stopped as there was a young boy about 8 years old kneeling down on the floor tying his shoe in front of him. Rather than pushing his way around him, Mr. HWA just stopped and patiently waited for this child to finish tying his shoe before proceeding.
As an important man as Mr. HWA was, I thought it was a humble thing for him to do, to consider a child and wait for him to finish. I saw this clearly as I was close by. It was one of my sons who was in the way, but I couldn't get through the last few feet to move him aside for Mr. Armstrong.
In his autobiography, Mr. Armstrong admitted to being vain in his younger days. Having personally known a number of people who knew him back then, I remember they often mentioned his ego; which is a turn off to people.
One could see that in his later years, Mr. HWA was a very humble and loving man; a testament to the conversion process, God's working with him over those many years.

Flurry Cult Cavorting With John Birch Society?

A reader sent this in about a recent tweet by the Philadelphia Church of God cult where they are bragging about HWA videos being on YouTube.

So this brilliant tweet is posted on the front page of thetrumpet.com (Flurry):

YouTube now has a channel devoted to the United States of Europe ... even has a couple of clips of Herbert Armstrong!http://t.co/HRaXiurK

Follow the link to the dedicated YouTube page, and you’ll see that the HWA videos (posted by “hwatv” – a Flurry thing, perhaps?) are keeping company with the likes of the John Birch Society, something called the AllanWattResistance (from an author who appears to have his own fringe ideas about the things controlling the world), and someone called “Sir Leonard Wells,” a high school graduate (recently deceased) who identified himself on Linked In as an “online media writer & broadcaster, logistical thinker” and, the clincher…”transport specialist.”

Good grief.

Having The Courage To Question Ron Weinland

What this person wrote on Mike's blog is not unique to Ron Weinland.  It is the same method of brain washing that is used in all the splinter groups.  Tell people something long enough and repeatedly and they stop questioning it.  Even better, make them feel special and called out from the world, then you will have them hook, line and sinker.

This person could be describing Pack, Flurry, Meredith, and the rest of the charlatans.

gullible says:

I wish I had known and done research on him, even before following him. But I wanted to be obedient as much as I could after starting to follow him as I was convinced ron was the end time witness. ron continually told us not to go into the internet to read about him. He doesn’t want anyone to research about him and what others are saying about him, and I believed him at the time, as he scared us into believing that god speaks through him. So if you didn’t listen to him, you didn’t listen to god. Had anyone gave warning about ron at this time, it would just fall on deaf ears, as we believed we are right and everyone else is wrong. ron always hypnotise us, by saying they can’t see what we see and they don’t have god’s spirit. Repetition of this from almost ron and senior elders, really goes deep into the mind, so yes anything bad said about our idol would just be seen as they don’t know what they are doing and yes, we would see it as persecution and be even more on fire for ron’s god. That’s why I can understand how those that defend ron on this blog feel, as ron has a special place in their life – ron makes them feel they are special people.
I think after a couple of years of non-events, and growing suspicions, I finally had the courage to defy ron, to do some personal research on ron – which I should have done a long, long time ago. I’m sure glad I did.

Happy Father's Day!

Ron Weinland Jurors: The Gift That Keeps On Giving

I am just like many others here in exCOG land that are reading Mike's blog about Ron Weinland. Weinland's conviction as a felon and the jurors that are stepping forward and sharing what it was like listing to this disgusting pig has been a fascinating and eye opening read.  These jurors were presented with reams of evidence, so well documented by the prosecution that took eight extra large notebooks to contain it all.  They heard the weak excuses that Weinland and his entourage presented as "truth." They heard the lies, saw through the lies, and dealt Weinland the hand he never saw coming.  Just think how amazing it will be for Ron's attorney's to be able to list this case on their resume.....

Weinland and his cult are screaming church persecution now in order to blind the members from seeing the real truth about their devious leader and his family.  The only problem with Weinland's church leadership taking this position is that the prosecution never once attacked the church or it's"teachings."  What was attacked was the misuse of funds by Ron, his wife, his daughter Audry, son Jeremy and others, all in the name of doing the work.  Three BMW's, all expense paid vacations, Vegas trips, cruise vacations, massages and Las Vegas shows, are not "the work.".

Through all of this the various splinter group leaders have been conspicuously silent.  Even more so after Ron's conviction.  Why have none of them spoken out about the abuse of funds?  Are they scared that they could be next?  It is well known throughout the Churches of God that ministry leaders and higher ups have regularly abused their positions and used tithe/offering money for their own expenses.

They have bought cars, homes, fine art, clothes, had their masters and doctorates paid for with church funds, and on and on the list could go.  Meredith got caught decades ago with his hands in the cookie jar and had to repay the church all the money he used from third tithe to furnish and decorate his home.  HWA and Rader were hauled into court for their financial abuses and not for church doctrine.  Church money paid for divorces, lawsuits (Meredith's Leona McNair debacle), European spas and penile implants.

I imagine many of these splinter group leaders are shaking in their shoes right now at the possibility that they could be next.  But, an even bigger question to be asked is, "Why do the members continue to put up with it?"  "Why do they continue to let the ministry and church leaders get away with it?"  "Why allow them continued use of your hard earned money for their own luxury life styles?"  The old Church of God mantra, "once I write that check the money is God's to use as he sees fit" no longer works.  God is not the one spending that money, corrupt men and women are.  I hope this is only the first of many lawsuits to come down the Church of God pipeline.

All of this rambling was stirred on by yet another posting tonight by one of the jurors that so wisely convicted Ronnie:

Juror#199 here…

[Juror] #215, You do have a good memory. I also would agree that Laura was added to church business just to make her vacations a little more legit, believable, and non-taxable. Even boy wonder, (Ron) admitted on stand that she did not really do much or speak on these trips, but as Ron put it, “we are a team”. One thing she did do very well was shop and spend money. Remember McBride asked “well couldn’t she counsel over the phone?” “Or couldn’t they come to your house and talk to her.” As for the so called “scholarship”, I believe that to be an afterthought to explain why Jeremy’s college courses were paid from a church account or Ron’s account that the church reimbursed. Also to clarify, Jeremy’s expenses were paid through a Citi Bank card or account and Audra’s through a Bank of KY account. The prosecution showed so many accounts it was hard to keep track of them.

As I have mention before, after the IRS Special Agent knocked on their door 7/02/08, they made some small adjustments and continued business as usual. Another observation I had was that these “church related travels” always grew with added vacation times and long (some quite long) layovers in hot spots such as Hawaii, Vegas, or places near some of Weinlands relatives, both domestic and abroad.

As for Google Adwords, Ronnie knew he was obviously under IRS investigation so he had better show some church expenses. However, this was well thought out by the criminal mastermind because I know as well as you, that these adds brought in more money as well. It was the proverbial, killing two birds with one stone.

Another great Ronism was when McBride was questioning him about his $1,700.00 + suit being bought on a church account. Boy wonder states, “I am wearing that suit today” he said with a big proud smile. Then McBride said, “Well, you are on personal business here today”. “Are you not?” “Is that the church’s suit?” PRICELESS!! This occurred when Ron was on the stand. I can not remember if that was before or after Ron was bragging (with another huge smile of confidence) about his 5 series being a “luxury car.” What a moron! Wow, look, his name is in there.

This is strictly my opinion. I find it interesting that Ron &/or Laura seem to schedule these vacations, Oops….! “church functions” in some very nice destinations and traveling hot spots. I also recall that there were not any church members present, except on very few occasions, and those members always seemed to be Johnnie Harrell and his wife, Terry and his wife, Audra and Jeremy and their better halves. I am not sure how many church members were at any of these functions except for some of the local ones that the members paid out of their pockets to attend.

Another classic was listening to Dalrymple and Ron both, but at separate times, explain about the $85.00 deep tissue massage on the Princess Cruise Line. They were both quite convinced that this was a church expense. Okay………whatever y’all say! At that point, among many others, I was ready to put my hip waders on because it was getting deep. If you know what I mean. Anyway, the entertainment factor was PRICELESS once again!

Lastly, I wish I could have gotten a dollar for every time moRON, Audra, and Dalrymple said “I don’t know” or “I guess.” I would be sitting on a heap of cash people. They all remembered explicit details when it benefited one of their lies, but when the overwhelming truth and proof set before their eyes was the subject they seemed to suffer from a terrible case of amnesia. After a long while, Audra at least had a stronger back and a bigger set of balls than the two boys, by admitting “yea, I guess.”
