New Living Church of God Splinter Group Forming!
Here's the just finished logo for a soon-coming LCG splinter after RCM's demise. It's core doctrines will be everything RCM ever said or did, including wife spanking, gay bashing, sermons on sexual perversions, boxing, and wildly speculative prophecy. All members will share the honorary title of Third Most Important Person in the Work.
That is not a cross you see. It is a sword.

I'm thinking that if they ever get around to picking a theme song, it could only be Black Oak Arkansas' "Hot Rod"!

Makes a lot of noise; blows a lot of smoke; runs out of gas quickly.
I thought that is what Bob Thiel does?
There's more than one hotrod and each one has a varying ecological impact.
It would benefit society greatly if all of them reduced their carbon footprint to zero.
ALA Rod Meredith... "HOT ROD LINCOLN" .... Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen Charted #9 1971...
MY PAPPY SAID, "SON YOU'RE GONNA DRIVE ME TO DRINKIN
IF YOU DONT STOP DOING THAT HOD ROD THINKING ! "
"Hot Rod"?
Isn't that what young Jimmy Mallon was thinking while he and Rod were wrestling, rolling around on the grass like a couple of bear cubs?
The hotrod Lincoln in the song was a pretty awesome engineering feat. Someone had dropped a flathead V-12 Lincoln engine into a Model A, coupled it to a Ford overdrive tranny, and was running 4:11 gears in the rear end. The song originally came out in 1955, before rodders started dropping small block Chevies into everything as they began doing in the late '50s and early '60s (like the American Graffiti '32 coupe)
The guy putting a Lincoln motor in his rod went one up on all of the guys who were running stroked Mercury flathead V-8s in their early coupes.
By the time I was in high school guys were dropping Corvette motors into '40 Fords, 409 Chevy motors into 55-56-57 Chevies, and 430 Lincoln motors into the 57-59 Fords.
That was back when the working man was into hotrodding, before it became a big money prestige and image thing. I just hope there is some good street racing in the Millennium!
