The Pathetic Membership Numbers of Philadelphia Church of God

Exit and Support has a fascinating chart detailing the current membership of the Philadelphia Church of God from Ohio to the West Coast. In their own home state they cannot draw in more than 50 members. Truly laughable!

Check out the chart here for more information.

Christ said little flock but I don't think he said microscopic. These latterly poor people are supporting that drunk and his delusional empire. Somewhere there has to be tax code violations. This crackpot is as crazy as Dave pacman

My favorite is the "1" from Ohio (my home state). With 11.7 million residents, Old Six Pack can only find 1 person. Hilarious!

The only other COG group that is a bigger failure is Bob Thiel's cult. He is even more pathetic.

Those numbers cannot be right. Oklahoma has more than 50 baptized members. This must be the numbers from each state who participated in some particular event, probably some event with specific pull-out sessions for singles and seniors.

I'm suspicious. This list includes Ohio but omits Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin to the west/northwest of Iowa (notice that it goes as far north as North Dakota). It looks more like a Feast site attendance report from the southwest USA.

Taking Texas and California totals , (300), and then using that as a sample percentage against total US Population , (68 million vs 328 million US Population) and then doing the math, one comes up with a figure of 1447 for a US total PCG membership in the USA as an extrapolation.

I would figure that Oklahoma, if counted correctly would have more like 400 people or so.

Best guess, is PCG is about 2000 people.

ESNs comment is "They are for the entire West Coast USA."
This must be a Feast attendance report.

1 in Ohio for the feast. I bet they were thinking "best feast ever"!

Yeah, I question these numbers too. I know there are members in Indiana (some I attended with in WCG) and I also know there are many more in Ohio.

MY COMMENT - Great point! How little is little? The Lake of Fire Church of God consists of one person - me! We/me meet in my car and pray to God as I drive in my car. Do I count?

Since PCG is a disease rather than a church, I'm sure that we all find these low numbers very encouraging. The Armstrongism epidemic is coming to an end! And, the stats might be accurate. 700 members x $50,000 per year annual income x 10% tithe does equal $3,500,000/ year. Throw in freewill offerings and third tithe, and the gross is substantial.

Nah, I know theres a PCG congregation in at least three states on that lost that arent even mentioned. That list isn't an overall membership tally.

That is a passenger list for Petra after Covid (no NY members) or something else or fake news.

It is in line with the original US&GrBr in prophecy book in which HWA prophecies nuclear destruction on a list of US cities............ that are all situated on the East Coast.

I don't think you understand. One person came to the Southwest site from Ohio. If that was a year PCG had a site in Sandusky, Ohio, I'm surprised that only one transferred to the Southwest.

Looking at the full chart, it's noteworthy that Hawaii has five "suspended" people - almost as many as the six "members."

That indicates to me this is NOT a Feast report. Why would you count suspended people not attending a Feast?

But look out, Ohio - when people flee Restored in the wake of recent weeks, your numbers could spike like Philadelphia after that 1918 parade.

People register for the Feast in the Spring. Some of them will be suspended by October, and the Feast Coordinator will need to watch out for them.

4:55am I understood, but it was much funnier the way I played it.

Inaccurate for member numbers as far as Ohio goes...more than 1 in Ohio, probably close to 100. And probably around 300-350 in Edmond, Oklahoma alone. Very well may be a feast report..

But seriously, from someone standing on the side-lines of all that programed legalism craziness, those figures are still a lot of minds being indoctrinated into this zombie like existence. That's still just too many people. Hard to believe that all this is still allowed to go on... all anyone can do is keep the word out there and focus on these groups, with these type of blogs, I can't begin to tell you if you say to ordinary friends or anyone for that matter, Armstrongism or religion of Armstrong (HWA) the response is what's that ? A deception that's been going on for way too long. It totally amazes me how the ones around them become their target and because of the manipulated deception they hide behind , their not dangerous , that's bull !!!

Gerald has been living in a dream world and in denial from Day 1. As with ALL the other corporate COGs, they are all dying a slow death. And Almighty God is allowing it to show them you can't continue to support that 50 ft. idol called hierarchy (Doctrine of the Nicolaitans - Rev. 2) and excessive salaries for people who force feed the brethren with pablum and man-made doctrines. and do little esle except demand "pay, pray and obey".
