Cowardly Crackpot King of Possibles Believes JC Could Return In 2032

One key aspect of Dave Pack is his unwavering faith and confidence in his god to provide him with accurate insight, despite his repeated failures to predict the correct date of Christ’s return over many years. He confidently declares specific dates for Jesus’ arrival, undeterred by others' opinions of his precise predictions.

In contrast, consider one of the most timid self-proclaimed prophets in the church today—a deluded individual who lacks the courage to trust that his god will grant him clear words or bold forecasts. Due to his hesitancy and fear, he resorts to vague terms like "maybe," "possibly," "might be," and "could be." This allows him to deflect criticism and gaslight others whenever his falsehoods are exposed, claiming he never made definite predictions.

The ongoing bombing of Israel in Iran and its retaliation is a dream scenario for Bwana Bob and other fervent, self-appointed prophets in the Church of God.

Here are the latest lies of the Great Bwana Bob Thiel:

In a post last week (see Israel attacks Iran–might Iran retaliate and cause ‘great damage’ to Jerusalem as prophesied in Isaiah 22:6-8?), I pointed to this matter as possibly tying in with the return of Jesus in 2032.

Why?

There are several scriptural reasons, but they are contingent on, or at least possibly tied to, the following:

    1. If the last days that the Apostles Peter (Acts 2:14-17) and Paul (Hebrews 1:1-2) told of only refer to days 5 and 6 of seven one thousand year days (they possibly could include the latter decade of day 4) and
    2. If Jesus was killed and resurrected in 31 A.D. and
    3. If there is a precise and literal 6000/7000 year plan and
    4. If the 6000 years ends after the 2 1/2 year great tribulation and before the start of the one year ‘day of the Lord’ (Isaiah 34:8) –then that would seem to be the year 2031–and
    5. If the current (or related soon) conflict results in “great damage” to “the city of David” in the fulfillment of Isaiah 22:6-8 and
    6. If that results in a peace deal with some type of a seven-year component and
    7. If that part of the deal is the prophesied one which becomes confirmed by a “prince” (Daniel 9:26-27) in 2025, then
    8. We would expect the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21-22) to start about 3 1/2 years afterwards–which is when the deal is broken and the abomination of desolation will be set up (Matthew 24:17; Daniel (9:27; 11:31) and then
    9. Jesus would return about 3 1/2 years later, which presuming item 7 occurs, would be in 2032 (the year 2025 plus 7).

There is nothing that I find edifying in anything Bob writes. All of his writing drips with narcissism, and it is a turn-off. I can see why Mr. Meredith refused to listen to him.

Yes Bob, LOTS of ‘IFs’ there.
But the prophets of old were not full of ‘ifs’.
They had a precise message and it was clearly delivered and they were established as prophets.
Plenty of ‘ifs’ does not ‘mark’ one as a prophet at all.

The distinct difference between the people playing the prophecy game today and the actual prophets written of in the Bible is that God personally revealed the events and their timing in advance to the prophets of the Bible. The ACOG "prophets" read and study the scriptures and "guess" how these "might" apply to what they see going on in the current surrounding world and its nations and the prevailing conditions. ACOG "prophets" have proven again and again that they are in no way directly inspired by God. They study the Bible, interpreting it according to the tenets of Armstrongism, insinuate to others that they know what might happen because they are special and closest to God, and guess what? They fail!

To think that we used to mock highly educated scientists for their hypotheses and theories! The theory of evolution actually has a firmer basis in fact than do all of the Armstrong theories regarding applications of the ancient prophecies. The stuff upon which we once based our entire lives and daily decisions was absolutely useless, as should have been self evident in 1972-75. Wouldn't it have been so much nicer if Jesus had actually returned back then? It is a bitter pill to ingest when the people whom we trusted for all the answers turn out to have known nothing at all of value! Guess what? The laws of probability dictate that exceptionally good things will happen, and bad, even calamitous things will happen, in addition to normal and average day to day life. Some future events are obvious when trends are followed to logical conclusion. Most are part and parcel of the randomness of the universe and the whims of human nature, and are therefore unknowable.

HWA was simply the guy who died with the most toys and won (at our expense). Why can't everyone realize and acknowledge this? Why do people continue to use his worthless crap in an attempt to fear monger and control? He'd be laughing his ass off at the quality of the characters who claim to be those who restore or continue his work! I mean, get real! Witch doctors? Daily guesses that Jesus simply has to return next week or the week thereafter? It is absolutely pitiful, and so are the people who unfortunately believe this crap!
The young teenagers of II Kings 2:23 who tormented Elisha and were eaten by bears were simply out of the time element. A misapplication. They should be here today to confront the leaders of the ACOGs and Bob Thiel! Go up, thou bald heads!

I believe Christ will return around a certain year, but I keep it to myself. The problem is that giving a year will help some while probably harming others. For elderly Christians will painful medical conditions, being told that the end is far off is crushing.

This is an interesting message from Andrew Wommack that really sheds light on the CoG dilemma. I'd be grateful for any comments or opinions about this man and message -- I don't know everything! JM

Bob's Prologue to Revelation: 1 Possibly the revelation from Jesus Christ, which God may have given him to show his servants what perhaps could take place. He might have made it known by sending his angel to his servant John,
2 who testifies to everything he believes he saw—that is, the possible word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, so it is said.
3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time may be quite near or not, depending

Epilogue: Invitation and Warning Revelation 22:
12 “Look, I am quite possibly coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am possibly coming soon but for sure not before 2032 far as I can tell.”

Amen. Come when you have time, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people in my sliver. Amen.

NOTE: The real reason God cannot get anything done or interact with us mortals is because Jesus is sitting on his right hand, and He can't get up. :)

PS Somewhere along the line, COG types have gotten into their heads that the Bible is a mathematical code they can crack if only they twist and tweak it just right to reveal what no man has ever figured out, except themselves of course.

Years ago, when debating Art Mokarow, in Tyler, Tx, he chided me for being too confident in my perspectives. I mentioned to him that it was he who wrote the booklet "God's Puzzle Solved!" and that sounded a bit too confident. He said, "Well I didn't mean THAT!" which of course he did but didn't actually solve God's puzzle.
As well, Revelation has NOT been "Unveiled at Last" by any COG wanna be either. Their problem is a lack of understanding that the Book of Revelation was all about then and not one bit about now. Minor theological and historical point! :)

I grew up with “the end of the world” all around me! Whether it was from learning about the prophecies of Nostradamus in my uncle’s books on the unexplained or Bible prophecy from my Baptist friend’s collection of Jack Chick’s tracts and comics or later from HWA’s booklets I basically grew up with the belief, even hope, that Christ would return by the time I graduated high school. But then when He didn’t I extended that hope to the end of the millennium. Again when He didn’t return I hoped He would return by 2010. Once that year came and I turned 40 I realized it’s pointless heeding these false prophets who are as bad as the climate change prophets forecasting global cooling and then global warming and the end of life in 5 years or 10 years etc. If I only knew as a young and dumb kid what I know now I wouldn’t have listened to all this fear inducing and negative “noise.” I would’ve focused on developing a rewarding career and settling down to raise a family. It’s a good thing by the grace of God I’ve been able to share with my sister’s kids the lessons I have learned so they can achieve what I failed to do coz in the short timeframe we’re allotted in this world having a vocation and be surrounded by a supportive family are two of the greatest blessings in life.

Well here we go again with ccog's bob and his maybe stuff. My understanding is that the temporary seven years covenant that will be broken halfway through at a 3.5 year mark will be done by the European beast power, not some vague prince or by the U.S. the very scriptures he quotes show that it is this beast power who will march into the middle east and to the holy land. So what of points 6 7 8 and 9 here? Europe isn't even remotely united like that yet. Not so far. International alignments are not set up yet. So in 2028 will tidings out of the north and east trouble him? Trouble whom? Him Whom Hum! so is ccog throwing out its beliefs because of this latest post from them?

I heard a preacher (Ron Dart) in late 90s say how because that many are date setting, that someone, somewhere most probably would get a date correct sonetime in the future. But date setting missed the whole point.

On the other hand, Garner Ted used to joke that his dad had set so many dates, and changed that many doctrines, he got whiplash from the changes.

Telling people that Christ can't/won't return for another 3.5 years is dangerous and misleading. If you die tonight, Christ's return will be tonight for you. Christ expects us to be found "so doing" when He returns. If your Christianity depends on the date of Christ's return, you aren't a Christian.

Good plan (keeping it to yourself). However, your motivation should be more to preserve your own reputation though, not to save the feelings of those who would believe your prediction (they wouldn't).

Indeed, despite the myriad faults of David C. Pack, he is still superior to Bob Thiel in every way.

Got news for you Bob and those in the ACOGs—the great tribulation won’t last 2 and 1/2 years but 3 and 1/2 years. It will overlap the 1 year day of the Lord.

Correct, for 99.9% of humanity, the date of Christ return will occur when we are in the dirt of the earth. Predicting a date means you're trying to play God the Father (matthew 24:36).It's a serious matter, but ACOG ministers don't think so.

One of the issues with many of the ACOG ministers, is that they want Christ to come back during their lifetime. Or shall I say the leading evangelist. They want to be one of the two witnesses to validate their leadership. Their egos get in the way. They got the math all figured out until ....

Gerald Waterhouse always pushed the narrative in his sermons that Christ would return while HWA's generation was still alive. That would presumably lock in the then church hierarchy into the kingdom. Future generations would find the best positions already taken by Herb and his boot licking ministers. This is like today's crony capitalism whereby billionaires get into bed with government and pass regulations making it hard for upcoming competitors to succeed. Herb and his minions were and still are masters of playing dirty.

"If there is a precise and literal 6000/7000 year plan" -- but there isn't. Adam was created more than 6000 years ago. Properly using OT texts other than the Masoretic text, we have to add about 800 years to the timeline. The presumed calculated date of 4004 BC for Adam's creation needs to go back at least 800 years.
Even if Adam was created in 4004 BC, then 6000 years later takes us to 1997, so Christ's return is already 28 years overdue.
And nothing in the Bible that I can see points to such a 6000-year plan, it was just a fantasy by HWA and his followers, and other christians, who still stick to their 6000-year mantra, even though it is now proven impossible.
