Except… plot twist! He possesses exactly zilch. Zero. bupkis. A whole lot of nothing wrapped in an empty website. No structure, no ministers (unless you count the mirror), no bank account that’s ever seen a tithe check, no publishing empire unless “copy-paste” counts as an industrial process. His entire “ministry” consists of other people’s articles, videos, magazines, and letters that he’s helpfully liberated—without so much as a permission slip from GCI, the actual copyright holders. Truly the pirate bay of Armstrongism.
And yet, undeterred by reality, we’re treated once more to the stirring sermon: “Herbert W. Armstrong was basically Jesus with better suits—how dare you not drop everything and sprint back to the one true faith once delivered?!” Yes, let’s definitely restore the church to those golden glory days… you know, the ones famous for their wholesome atmosphere of corruption, power-abusing ministers, and general cesspool vibes.
Because nothing says “God’s one true church” like grand theft content and a complete absence of everything else.
He writes:
Now if a minister who had been ordained under Mr Armstrong, rejects the leadership of Jesus Christ through the apostle, and rejects a piece of truth, cherry picking what he wants, then he like Tkach separates himself from the church spiritually and takes his congregations with him!
That’s why it is important to remember what was taught through the apostle, for it is foundational for us as the true church!
So from the perspective of the ministry, these groups do not make up the true Church of God, but provide the means for them to take care of their congregations in the Lord.
What I have come to say, and have been saying for 15+ years, is REDUCE the departures of Christ, repent, and remember.
Embrace the apostle, as he is part of our foundation in the Lord! He preached the truth and he was under the direction of Jesus Christ.
Self willed men, do not want to follow him and do not want to continue faithfully in what he taught.
That makes it clear to the rest of us, they are not part of the body of Christ and should be avoided.
But Satan has his false ministers and false brethren, pretending and applying pressure to those of the Body of Christ to accept any sort of apostasy they deem “okay”.
Most false ministers or false brethren, consider some apostasy as “growth”.
If it detracts from what Christ revealed through His apostle, then we know it is not of Jesus Christ.
For those who are of God, hear the apostle and receive the Word of God, not as words of men.
If we allow it, we can be developed into another church, by these “groups”.
We read in Revelation 12:17, that a remnant of the True Church will not go into a place of safety! Satan will turn around and wage war on them!
If you ignroe Samuel, you will be left behind with Bob Thiels remenant when everyoen esle flees to Petra. This threat is so worn out and over used that no one ceres anymore.
He wants to destroy this Church! And if he could get you separated into multiple groups, he knows you aren’t going into a place of safety!
And that will develop us into the Laodicean Church, that needs to repent and obey the Lord under the cruel and merciless tyrannical gentile government that will be the Beast Power in the Great Tribulation.
The Laodicean era, will have an OBEDIENT CHURCH, who keeps the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ! At least half of those there will repent, as shown in Matthew 25 with the parable of the ten virgins.
Through repentance they will become converted members of the Worldwide Church of God!
The Worldwide Church of God will go into a place of protection as promised by Jesus Christ!
The name Worldwide Church of God, is a spiritual name, placed on a people who have Herbert W Armstrong as part of their foundation.
No other church is like it.
Some may use his face and name, but if they aren’t 100% back of Mr Armstrong and the truth He taught us, they are misleading and bearing false witness.
We are either 100% standing on the foundation or we are off of it. No fence riding. No lukewarm attitude, that gets us to bear false witness!
We see this in Revelation 3:9.
So what we have today, is the Worldwide Church of God. Those attending these “groups” should exit these groups, in order to continue faithfully in the Lord!
These groups could repent, and redirect their efforts, to prepare the people as they were ordained to do!
But I fear too may are hostile against Jesus Christ and his apostle! They are too unwilling to repent and to include Herbert W Armstrong as part of their foundation. And by excluding him, they just sever themselves.
Many have tried to bring people into “groups”. I am concerned about the Foundation of the Worldwide Church of God. It is spiritual. The people are connected spiritually to Jesus Christ our Head and God the Father His Head! Through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and through the truth.
Not part of the truth. 100% of the truth.
The congregations in Iowa, from those of these groups, can organize into “the Iowa congregations of the Worldwide Church of God”
The congregations in Australia, could organize into “the Australia congregations of the Worldwide Church of God”
This reconnects people to one identity, the Worldwide Church of God, and also provides the ministry the means to hold monies, assets and property without pushing the people away into “groups”.
Jesus Christ wants us to be the Philadelphia candlestick! Not a bunch of groups.
Will you brethren stand with me, and pray and fast and beseech God about this? Because we won’t go to the place of safety divided. We won’t enter the Kingdom of God divided!
So take it to Jesus Christ! And obey Him and the Word of God!
In the swirling vortex of Armstrongist splinters—where every third guy had a nightmare where a questionable entity spoke to him and a grudge declared himself the One True Heir to the Mantle—we have another one trying to resurrect the glory days of old.
Christianity’s cornerstone isn’t a 34-year-old Iowan playing dress-up as the Restorer of All Things, complete with a website that looks like it time-traveled from 2003 and a “ministry” budget that couldn’t buy a Happy Meal.
No, the real foundation—the one that’s been holding up actual believers for two millennia—is Jesus Christ. Not Herbert W. Armstrong, not his endless stream of booklets about British Israelism or prophetic date-setting that aged like milk left in the sun, and certainly not some self-appointed successor who thinks that “restoring the church” means hoarding copyrighted material like it’s the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Imagine the sheer audacity—the galaxy-brain levels of delusion—required to stand amid the wreckage of broken homes, estranged children, drained bank accounts, and families shattered by “God’s government”, and still proclaim, “Follow me! I’ve got the pure, unadulterated 1975 doctrines right here! No adulterated post-1986 grace nonsense—just good old fear, guilt, and triple tithing!”
