Fred Dattolo (Chief Financial Officer) recently stated in the June 5 Friday Philadelphian: “Meanwhile, the decline in first tithe continues. Consequently, total income for the year is barely keeping up with last year, while some expenses are rising.”
Then Dattolo added: “So, your generous holy day offerings have been appreciated!” (I.e., members are to “take up the slack.”)
I’ve noticed lately that HQs is talking more and more about “the Work,” telling members to pray for every last thing PCG is doing, or planning on doing. This serves the purpose of keeping members’ minds and prayers continually focused on “the Work.” –[name withheld]

THE INEVITABLE DECLINE OF A FALSE CHURCH
Because of all the false prophecies made by cult leader Gerald Flurry members of the Philadelphia Church of God (PCG) are leaving in increasing numbers. Church income is rapidly declining. Ex members speculate as to how much longer the church headquartered in Edmond Ok can last.
WHY THE DECLINE
Gerald Flurry's prophetic credibility continues to erode,
Membership declines accelerate,
Younger members do not replace departing older members,
Tithing income falls significantly year after year,
The church struggles to maintain its large Edmond campus, college, auditorium, media operations, and international activities,
There have already been layoffs, and cut backs in many areas.
The key question becomes whether expenses can be reduced as fast as income declines.
And there is the PJ, The Flurry families Private Jet. A luxury that consumes massive amounts of money.
PCG's Edmond headquarters includes administrative offices, college facilities, the Armstrong Auditorium, media operations, maintenance staff, housing, and extensive grounds. Maintaining such a campus requires a substantial and continuing revenue stream. Which has been drying up faster than Lake Mead
Under the decline:
• A 25%+ annual decline would put intense pressure on maintaining large facilities and media operations unless significant reserves existed.
Inevitable Outcome:
Most organizations do not immediately collapse. Instead they typically:
Reduce staff.
Consolidate departments.
Cut media spending.
Sell assets or property.
Scale back building maintenance.
Eventually operate with a much smaller headquarters footprint.
We can expect the Edmond campus to shrink before it disappears entirely.
As the income is highly dependent on a shrinking core membership, the decline will become visible much more quickly.
Damn, those Irish dancers are an expensive lot lol.
Wish Gerry would go cattle class in future instead of ‘private Jet PCOG Airlines’.
Save us a lot and ensure salaries remain, whew………..got that off me chest.
Almost time to pop open a bottle of the good stuff if their income drops further in celebration ha ha.
How can they afford their jet with this meagerly income?
Even if there's only one new reader of this blog it's then worth repeating....there is no Armstrongic "first tithe" commanded to be given to others every year. Only every third year cuz 10% of the yearly harvest and stored up was enough for 3.3% of the population. And it wasn't money. And there was no tithe for the poor who were to be attended to, cared for all the time.
Maybe Flurry can request a royalty or stipend from the United Kingdom since he has crowned himself "Queen of England", or maybe he can have a series of late night infomercials selling his sermons or lectures as insomnia cures. If not maybe he can go to Iowa & find Herbert W's childhood outhouse where he rightfully say he inherited HWA's throne.
PCG are so wrapped up their "Work" they cannot possibly give up their private jet, expensive buildings, large salaries, Irish dancing, etc. They just have to have more income from somewhere — but, it seems, PCG members are now seeing the light and no longer flushing their money down the PCG toilet.
Just curious, because an inquiring mind of one attending with the United Ass. asked me something I could not answer.

Who is Dan Moffett and what is his source of the information on the declining income? Is it available for viewing?
The inquiring mind asked me: "Who would want to give out such 'negative' statistics? Is an authentic source? Was it legal to tell to others, or was it all confidential information not to be spread about?"
I told her: "Negative or not, the United Ass. annually publishes its financial statistics."
I have no answers for her, but I was just curious as a result of the short discussion.
Will anyone shed any further "light" on this matter?

For most of my life in the PCG, I was constantly told we had 'three years tops' before we'd have to flee. Now that I’ve been out for 15 years, I find myself saying 'just 10 years tops until Flurry croaks or gets wheeled into a nursing home.'
