Philadelphia Church of God On Cleansing Your "Temple"

As some Church of God members scurry about cleaning our the leavening in the homes, cars, toy boxes and businesses, those fun folk at the Flurry compound in Edmond Oklahoma have some further words of wisdom for you.

While some few in the church actually focus upon Jesus Christ during this time of year, the broad majority are focused solely upon their physical selves and on what they do.  People beat themselves up for all of their sins and promise to be good the following year; then sin right out the door the very next day, just like Rod Meredith does.

The Philadelphia Church of God takes it a step further. During this time of year your focus should be upon Gerald Flurry, God's channel for redemption.

We learn so much from obeying the biblical command to deleaven our homes, cars, offices and personal spaces (Exodus 13:6-10). Physical deleavening certainly helps us in looking at our own lives spiritually—searching out every corner, nook and cranny in order to truly remove any spiritual dirt, filth or sin.
This process harkens back to a wonderful example of restoration found in 2 Chronicles: “Hezekiah began to reign when he was five and twenty years old, and he reigned nine and twenty years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Abijah, the daughter of Zechariah. And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father had done. He in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of the Lord, and repaired them” (2 Chronicles 29:1-3).
The richly ornate and costly temple God had built by King Solomon in Jerusalem had fallen into disuse and disrepair. We witnessed the same tragedy in recent times: After Herbert W. Armstrong’s death, perversion of God’s truth began. The Church had become a church within a church—the synagogue of Satan (Revelation 3:9). God then used one man to begin restoring the truth and the faith once delivered to the saints (Jude 3).
Malachi’s Message was given to God’s Church. The opening sentence of the preface of that book reads, “This is a story about God’s Church gone off track, and what God did to correct the tragedy.”
-------
Just as the Levites anciently began the task of cleansing, repairing and restoring, so our current commission to “raise up the ruins” must begin with a cleansing of the spiritual temple. The Philadelphia Church of God started small, but it has grown large and raised up the ruins of Mr. Armstrong’s work.
One would assume that PCG staff would weave Jesus Christ into the picture, but no.  Hebrew Scriptures are more important.

King Hezekiah wrote letters to those who had drifted from God. He asked them to turn again to God (2 Chronicles 30:6). But, like the Laodiceans today, not everyone was responsive (although ancient Israel did not have God’s Holy Spirit).
------
For those who responded, this was a great cleansing and it brought great joy. Read verses 13-27. Notice verse 21 in particular: “And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great gladness: and the Levites and the priests praised the Lordday by day, singing with loud instruments unto the Lord.” Of the word singing, Moffat says, “sang praise to the Eternal day by day with all their might.” This all is happening during the feast of Unleavened Bread.
Look at verse 26 now: “So there was great joy in Jerusalem: for since the time of Solomon the son of David king of Israel there was not the like in Jerusalem.” When we get back to God’s ways, what is produced is “great joy.” Joy and rejoicing—the Israelites held the Feast with great delight. This must be our goal every day—to rejoice with great delight, especially during the Days of Unleavened Bread.
When the king commanded the people to get back to tithing, they responded beautifully. “And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah, and wrought that which was good and right and truth before the Lord his God. And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and in the law, and in the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered” (2 Chronicles 31:20-21).
God truly will bless His Church as we seek to truly obey Him in every way and cleanse our personal temple—getting rid of any filth or uncleanness in every area.
Its typical for a Church of God to claim that its members are filled with filth and uncleanness in every area of their lives.  When you like under the law that is what is expected.  Vile filthy sinners that have so pissed off God that there is scant hope for making into the kingdom, unless of course you re one of the privileged elite.

At this time of year the focus need to be entirely upon the Philadelphia Church of God and its "witness" to the world.  Otherwise you  temple is NOT clean.  Filthy heathen Laodiceans!

We must ensure that we truly are up to our task of cleansing ourselves and responding to God—His government, His law and His love. We must be dedicated to the spiritual commission before us—prophesying again (Revelation 10:11). The last hour is closing in—time is of the essence to finish this Work, but also for each of us to be ready to marry the Son of God!

Salvation is only accessible through worshipping the government of the PCG.  Salvation only rests upon believing and reading the words of God's only true prophet and of his son Stevie.   Salvation will come when your full financial resources are given over to the church.  At that time Jesus Christ will be pleased and just MIGHT let you into the kingdom of Petra where peace will reign with Flurry, Pack, Theil and Malm in all fighting to see who is in charge.

Is Jesus Impressed With Your Deleavning Routines?

Its that time of year ago when Church of God members do their spring cleaning while searching toy boxes, clothes pockets, for cookies in the cracks of the couch, or scrubbing the tile flooring its toothbrushes to get out all that "sin."   Women in the church are literally exhausted having to clean the house from top to bottom. It was always great fun for the minister to stick his hand in his suit pocket and find a cookie.

Finding Sin (Dennis Leap)
The most vital spiritual lesson of the Passover and spring holy days is the incredible destructiveness of sin. Human sin brought about the death of Jesus Christ. And human sin will cause our eternal death unless we repent and seek God’s righteousness (Romans 6:23). The great tragedy is that, all too often, serious sin can be hidden from our view.
But there is a positive side to all this knowledge. It is found in the Days of Unleavened Bread. God gave us the spring holy days to teach us that we can find sin, and with His help, put it out of our lives. God uses the physical lesson of leaven to help us adults understand how sin works. We need to show our children how sin works by getting them involved in cleaning for the Days of Unleavened Bread. Finding leaven is a tailor-made activity for our young people. Each child, even toddlers, should have some job or activity related to finding leaven. In our family, we have always tried to assign each child a particular area of the house. When our children were toddlers, we directed them to hunt for leaven in their toy box. Yes, we made them pull each toy out. It was always great fun.
We didn’t always necessarily find leaven. But our toddlers felt part of all the activity.
As you teach your child to look for leaven, look with them. Talk with your child about sin and how it is like crumbs—it is everywhere! Be sure to plan ahead so you can spend time with your children.

All of this effort is put forth for days ahead of Passover.  The Church of God version of Passover is about the only time of year that many members ever hear Jesus Christ discussed.  However he is discussed in a way where everyone is made to feel like worthless pond scum for actually causing the death of Jesus Christ.

The Pasadena congregations had a wonderful tradition of making sure  when they killed him on the stage that it was amplified through loudspeakers so that every person sitting in the room knew they were guilty of crucify Jesus Christ that very night.  The problem lies in the fact that many of them leave him in the gym, auditorium, cafeteria, or Masonic lodge till the following year when they crucify him all over again.

What the point in deleavening a home, office, toy box or the car when the rest of the year you treat church members like dirt and split up families?  Whats the point in crucifying Jesus Christ at Passover when you tell parents to cast children to the curb so that the state can take care of them?  Why crucify him when you deliberately rip families apart by forcing members to not associate with family members who are no longer Church of God members.  Whats the point of crucifying him when you lei to your members and make false prophecies?  Why crucify him when you steal their tithe money to build your edifices and many homes and offices?

Whats the point in Dennis Leap writing an article like this when he treats members so horribly?

Jesus isn't impressed.

The Path

The day may be fast approaching when a Church of God turns into a death trap.  Delusional men like Dave Pack, Bod Thiel and Gerald Flurry are bordering on this same mentality.

Did Rod Meredith Use "Justified Lying" To Deceive World Vision?

More information has emerged regarding the recent kerfuffle with Living Church of God lying to World Vision.  Living Church of God, in a effort to deceive World Vision, deceptively told them that they (LCG) no longer had any ties to Herbert Armstrong.  How stupid do they think people really are?  Everyone knows they have defied the man, just as Gerald Flurry and Dave Pack have done.

Justified lying is a trick that Jehovah's Witnesses employ when they feel that non believers do not deserve the truth.  Has the Living Church of God sunk this low that they have to lie in order to get their message of "good news" across?  In LCG's eyes World Vision is not Christian, just as Bob Elijah Elisha Amos believes.  Since they are not "real" Christians like LCG, was it ok to lie to them?

Living Church of God Saying They No Longer Have Any Ties to Armstrong:
April 15, 2016
(Regarding LCOG "hiding" behind World Vision for their seminar [see March 28 & March 29 letters]), I sent the president of World Vision a detailed email of concern with quotes from Roderick Meredith, and some of his denials of the Christian faith. I have not heard [back] from him. At least I gave David Cerullo CEO of INSP Networks some credit. He had Tomorrow's World cancelled from his network in 2007. I sent him and John Roos, Senior Vice President Marketing, a five page letter showing Roderick Meredith's ties to Herbert W. Armstrong, his smear on Christianity, and many of his unbiblical-unorthodox teachings. The LCOG tried to persuade him that they no longer really have any ties to Armstrong, and abandoned many of his teachings. Of course, that is not what his "Official Statement Of Fundamental Beliefs" states. Mr. Cerullo also had The Church of God International's program "Armor of God"" cancelled as well. So did "World Harvest Television"
Many other Armstrong offshoots have been cancelled from Christian radio/TV as well. These stations include Salem (even though they are airing Ron Dart again on their OnePlace.Com), Wilkins. Wilkins lost $150,000.00 cancelling Dart, American Family Radio, Former Trevecca Nazarene University's WENO, and a host of others. I have been warning Christians, and Christian radio and TV concerning Armstrong, The Way International (that's another story) and others.
It's very clear that Dr. Roderick C. Meredith still considers Herbert W. Armstrong a great Bible teacher, and continues to teach and believe in many of his doctrines. Dr. Meredith's official statement of fundamental beliefs states "Our doctrines, practices, policies, and traditions have their roots in the Worldwide Church of God under the leadership of Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong" (P.1.) My email to Mr. John Roos, beyond any question of doubt shows the Living Church of God/Tomorrow's World teachings are contrary to that taught in the Word of God. Their doctrines are wrong on salvation, the person and work of our Lord Jesus Christ, their denial of the Trinity, the physical resurrection, Hell, and many other Christian teachings. --Anonymous
