Why Can't COG Preachers Stay On Topic?

Banned's most favorite false prophet (right after Dave Pack, Gerald Flurry, Ron Weinland, and Zerubbabel, of course) is The Great Bwana to Africa, the Chief Overseer of the improperly named "continuing" Church of God, the modern-day Elisha, Elijah, Habbakuk, Amos, Joshua, dreamer of dreams and the most infamously doubly-blessed man the Church of God has EVER seen, has preached a new sermon on the four horsemen of Revelation, COVID-19 and the Rise of his Beast Buddy Baron Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg.

A truly effective speaker speaks on one topic when they speak.  Our prophet is different, in more ways than one, his mind wanders just like his jazz hands do when he starts bouncing in his chair and waving his arms.

His latest message contains the following:
The 6th chapter of the Book of Revelation tells of the ride of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. What do each represent?
Is the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, part of the fourth horseman?
Does the Bible point to around 2 billion people dying from hunger, war, and the beasts of the earth?
Was the ancient Roman Empire impacted by pestilences?
What about the black death, also known as the Bubonic plague?
Are disease epidemics part of the beginning of sorrow and troubles that Jesus spoke about in Matthew 24 and Mark 13?
Does the pale green horseman represent Islam?
Could genetically modified organisms (GMOs) or synthetic biology cause or contribute to coming pandemics?
Is chemical and biological warfare (CBW) a real threat to humanity?
What about a doomsday bug or antibiotic resistant superbugs?
Is fear a contagion that will help people move away from democracy?
Will scientists be able to stop what is coming?
It the good news that the Kingdom of God will?
Could COVID-19 be setting the stage for the rise of the ‘prince,’ who will become the totalitarian Beast of the Sea (also known as 666 and the King of the North)?
Is this leader similar to the Great Monarch of Greco-Roman Catholic prophecies?
When is the Great Monarch supposed to arise according to the Eastern Orthodox?
Why might Europe be less affected by the ride of the third horseman that the US, Canada, and the UK?
Are governments taking steps now, consistent with the words of Adolf Hitler?
What seal represents the start of the Great Tribulation? Which Christians did Jesus promise to protect from the coming “hour of trial”?

Here is some Excedrin to ease the mindnumbing pain at the thought of listening to him drone on about ALL of these topics in his so-called sermon.

A Reminder From Your COG Regarding Your Stimulus Check

Gerald Weston: LCG Members Still Working Need To Give More Money To Make Up For The Money The Church Is Not Getting From Unemployed Members

Gerald Weston is again sticking his hands into LCG member's pockets by giving another sob story on how desperate the work of the Living God is for money.  For all of those home-bound LCG members who traveled to work and spent money on gas and airfare, he wants you to send him that money.  Don't save it up for a rainy day or future shutdowns. If you are still working and getting paid, please give Gerald your "extra" money to make up for the money that unemployed members are not sending in now. The Living God needs it!  That Big Dude in the sky can't do anything without your money!

Many people are looking for answers that we can provide, but with so many of you out of work, doing our Work of preaching the true Gospel and warning this world of what is to come is a challenge. Though it was not unexpected, we already saw a downturn in income over the last two weeks.

However, I want to be totally open with all of you. We did receive the blessing of a large sum of money just as this crisis was beginning. God knew we would need it, and He provided it. He positioned us to be in the best shape financially in many years going into this difficult time. We also have savings in hall rentals and travel expenses as we shift during this crisis to holding Sabbath services online temporarily. This offsets some lost income, but even with these savings, our reserves could be depleted if this lasts very long.

While we have been abundantly blessed here in the United States, that is not the case for many of our offices, congregations, and members around the world. We expect that at least some of our international offices will need help. We also do not want to deplete our reserves to the point of not being able to take advantage of new doors opening to preach the Gospel. For example, we just signed a contract for a television station that covers Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Morgantown, West Virginia. Both cities have Living Church of God congregations ready to welcome newcomers to share in fellowship with people of like mind. The program is scheduled to begin airing Sunday, May 3, at 7:00 a.m. on WPCW. Please pray that it will provide excellent results.

Because of these reasons, I’m asking that those who are able, those who have regular income and are themselves saving from lower travel costs, to please consider giving a little extra to make up for those who are out of work. It is not reasonable to ask people to do what they cannot do, and we will not employ emotional appeals with sad faces and sentimental music. Instead, I am making an honest and simple appeal: Now is a time for those of us who are still working, or who have much, to make up for those out of work or who have little.

This world needs the good news of the coming Kingdom of God. That good news goes far beyond some sort of retirement in the clouds or some kind of celestial drug trip.
Weston is such a condescending man with the stupid things he says that he must think is cute or impressive.

Weston goes on to fail to mention that in his alternate version of a celestial drug trip, his world will be ruled over by LCG tyrant ministers and members.  Watching how COG leaders and some members have treated us over the decades, this is NOT something that the public needs to be desirous in joining.

The Pathetic Membership Numbers of Philadelphia Church of God

Exit and Support has a fascinating chart detailing the current membership of the Philadelphia Church of God from Ohio to the West Coast. In their own home state they cannot draw in more than 50 members. Truly laughable!

Check out the chart here for more information.

That Other Prophet Says Dave Pack is Wrong: Christ Cannot Return Till 2027

By the time COG Jesus Christ gets here
he is going to be really ticked off at all the delays he has had to endure.

The Great Bwana to Africa takes great exception to Dave Pack's latest announcement that Jesus was returning last week. As we have all seen, Dave was an epic failure. No Jesus. No tribulation. Nothing.

Now Jesus Christ will be delayed yet again as the self-appointed leader of the improperly named "continuing" Church of God says that his "jesus" cannot return until at least 2027.

04/15/20 p.m. Banned by HWA reported that RCG put out the following:
* Habakkuk 2:3 plainly says “the vision is yet for an appointed time [a moad].” The seven days of Passover are a moad! But recall events unfold at the “end”—“at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” The “end” of the appointed time of Passover is the Last Day of Unleavened Bread!
A few weeks ago Banned by HWA reported that RCG put out the following:
One thing to consider, this Tuesday evening, going into Adar 29, is the exact day—the last day before the first day of the sacred year—we reach the 6,000-year plan of God. Could this be the “last day” we have all been looking forward to? Only time will tell but so many things line up for us to consider this possibility.
As of this moment, I have not been able to verify this is truly from RCG as it is not available online from their website in a search. But presuming that this was accurate, David Pack and RCG were very wrong. There was no way that 5999th year (or if it means it differently the 6,000th year) ended during or at the end of the Days of Unleavened Bread in 2020.
The last Day of Unleavened Bread has ended in Wadsworth, Ohio (where RCG is based) and Jesus has not returned.

Anyway, Jesus cannot return for at least seven years from now. Hence, for those who believe in a 6,000/7,000 year plan as has been traditionally taught, the 6,000 years cannot end before 2027.  Bob Thiel

Restored Church of God: Now That Dave Has FAILED AGAIN, What Will RCG Members Do?

Today's Proper Church Government is a Quagmire of Spiritual Debauchery

One of the biggest con games the church has fostered off on people is Herbert Armstrong's demands on proper governance in the church. His teachings were designed to give him ultimate authority in all matters, both spiritual and temporal. He really cracked down on governance when ministers would leave the church and take people with them. It was vitally important for HWA to discredit and devalue those men. To not do so was to undermine his power and authority.

That same quagmire of spiritual debauchery is what gave the present-day Churches of God so many self-appointed leaders who demand obedience to their every whim.  It gives Dave Pack the "authority" to demand his followers give him all their money, and they do.  It gives Gerald Flurry the "authority" to demand that church members turn their backs on spouses, family members and friends if they do not adhere to Flurry's illogical demands, which they do.

Concerned Sister made this comment the other day about authority in the church:
If the person has not risen through the ranks of one the groups and is not "ordained" to speak or given permission to express themselves, then their thoughts and their voice is silenced within whatever corporate group they happen to be a part of, even if what they have to say would be of benefit to the rest of the body. The only way to get around this sometimes is to find ways around the system, which is what people who remain anonymous seek to do.

Ordination within the corporate cog groups has in many cases simply become a way for those who seek a certain amount of perceived power to climb the ladder, or a way to reward someone for sticking to the party line and parroting the "official" doctrine of the organization, rather than a way to simply recognize those who are already serving as servants within the body of Christ. It then becomes a way to reinforce the club mentality and perceived authority within the corporate group. It has also become a way to limit the function of the gifts of the body to being exercised only by those officially recognized as having "authority" or given "permission" to do so. God did not intend the body to function with only a few at the top of a man made hierarchy having a voice or using a gift. He has given all a voice and various gifts, and it is the job of those gifted as leaders to facilitate and equip everyone to use their voice and their gifts, rather than silencing everyone. Sometimes it is the voice that comes out of nowhere and has no recognized position that God chooses to use in the mightiest way, because it is those people who don't get as hung up on themselves, their egos, or their own authority. They are simply sharing what they feel God wants them to share, with the understanding that it isn't about them, it's about Him.

Concerned Sister
There are three things that the Church of God hated more than anything and that was when members stepped up to the plate and held leaders accountable, understood scripture better than their leaders, and were outstanding examples of good works in their church and local community than the church was.

Right on cue this morning, Bob Thiel popped his homeopathic cork about "authority" in the church and how those who refused to follow Herbert's teaching on governance led to the downfall of the church and that those remaining 1/3 "faithful" now refuse to follow him, the rightful heir to that proper church governance. Hands were flailing and fingers flying as he typed out his words of warning.
...the fact is that two-thirds of those in the old WCG accepted total apostasy after the death of Herbert W. Amrstrong, and about one-third did not, makes the possible application of the Tkach apostasy seem to fit.
Nowadays, most remaining Christians do not accept proper church governance–even though Herbert W. Armstrong emphasized that a lot in his final years on Earth for Philadephian Christians.
According to the self-appointed illegitimate leader of the so-called "continuing" Church of God, every person who does not follow him are all Laodiceans.
Notice that Herbert Armstrong believed that God mainly worked through the leadership of one man at a time to lead various phases of the work. Scripture, shows for example, that the mantle passed from Elijah to Elisha (2 Kings 2:9-15). The ‘mantle’ would currently be with the person/group that truly functioned as the ‘pillar and ground of truth’ (1 Timothy 3:15).
For fifty years in the second century, according to Herbert W. Armstrong, that man was Polycarp:
It is significant that after his release John trained Polycarp elder of Smyrna, a city near Ephesus in the province of Asia. … At neighboring Smyrna, Polycarp presided over the Church of God for half a century after John’s death. Polycarp stood up boldly for the truth while many fell away and began having fellowship with the Catholic bishops of Rome. History relates that following the example of Peter, Paul and John, Polycarp wrote many letters to congregations and individuals, though all these have perished, save one in an edited version. (Armstrong HW. The Church They Couldn’t Destroy. Good News, December 1981)
For over 50 years in the 20th century, it was Herbert W. Armstrong.
And in the 21st century, that one man is not in any of the independent or more structures Laodicean groups.
Support the remnant of the Philadephian era and God’s work today.
Do not delay (cf. Zephaniah 2:1-3).

There you have it!  He is the ONE TRUE Church of God leader today.  Apparently, no one in the church has the ability to discern what is right except for him. By now we all know Thiel to be one of the biggest piles of horseshit the church has ever seen. Many members are more theologically grounded in the scripture than Thiel or any of the present-day COG leaders are.

The so-called "proper church governance" in the Church of God has created a cabal of spiritually and physically dangerous men who are consumed by narcissism, greed, avarice and the continual need to be affirmed as important.

These men have wreaked havoc on the spiritual lives of sincere people who want to follow God as they understand him. These putrid boils on the church have spent decades placing the focus upon themselves and their "revelations" while spitting in the face of Jesus and everything he said and accomplished.

No matter how many dreams or visitations by the so-called "god/spirit" these men have, they remain spiritually bankrupt. No sincere Christian would EVER follow these men.

Dave Pack: CHRIST RETURNING TODAY! The “end” of the appointed time of Passover is the Last Day of Unleavened Bread!...Christ will “SURELY COME” and “WILL NOT TARRY”!

From an RCG source:

David Pack did it again! This is the full-length text of the message he sent to the RCG members yesterday (are there still people believing this guy.. He’s giving them a new date almost every day now)

Keep Watch!
The Days of Unleavened Bread—now understood to be the Feast of Passover!—are quickly coming to an end. We now understand all the proofs of Passover being seven days—the way Christ kept it all His life before instituting the New Testament Passover prior to His death. God revealed this vital understanding “right on time,” and it set the stage for yet more that God would reveal at the very end. Dozens of scriptures that have come clear during this ongoing learning process in fact show nothing will happen until the Last Day of Unleavened Bread!
Understand. The LAST day of Unleavened Bread—the LAST day of Passover—is GIANT in God’s thinking. Following the pattern of announcements past, a handful of points make the case (50-plus more could have been included):
Brethren, echoing the last announcement, the case for Passover—now the last day of Passover—is so strong that none of us could imagine moving beyond it. God has taken us on a long journey that by every indication is coming to an end. The Holy Day is about 24 hours away. Stay close to God and prepare yourself for what appears to be our final watch.
Mark 13:35-36 remains central to our thinking and bears repeating to close: “Watch you therefore: for you know not when the master of the house comes, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping. ”
* First a point of logic: With only two days left in Passover—a common day (starting at sunset Monday) and a Holy Day—which might God choose?
* Next, consider all that Christ said about “the last day” through John 6. Verse 4 makes plain He was teaching in a PASSOVER setting—“the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.” What “last day” other than the last day of this Feast would His audience think He meant? Fast-forward to our time—when events would actually unfold—the LAST DAY of Unleavened Bread is not only perfect, it is the only viable option!
* Also realize that this passage includes a promise that Christ will “SURELY COME” and “WILL NOT TARRY”! We are NOW in the mahahh/mikron period—testing our resolve in the final days of awaiting His arrival. Waiting to the end of Passover is the longest possible mahahh/mikron—almost certainly why God tells us to wait for it!
* Recall Moses told Pharaoh, “Thus says the LORD God of Israel, Let My people go, that they may hold a feast unto Me in the wilderness” (Ex. 5:1). Israel crossed the Red Sea during the night of the feast of the Last Day of Unleavened Bread. THIS was the night they left Egypt’s border—to observe the Last Day of Passover in the wilderness! Ask: When might God take modern Israel out of enslavement to sin and the god of this world?
* Jericho’s walls fell on the last day of Passover. This types the walls, towers and loftiness of man coming down. And remember that the collapse of this evil city—a type of today’s society that God plans to soon take down—was accompanied by trumpet blasts!
* All these points perfectly fit Malachi 2:2-3. The Last Day of Unleavened Bread is a Jewish chag (Holy Day)!
* With this more complete understanding, what other day can compare to the Last Day of Passover?

Modern Day Zerubbabel Speaks New Truth, Utterly Humiliating Bob Thiel!

Another Church of God prophet who is the modern-day Zerubbabel.
He is so accurate that Bob Thiel has been sent whimpering to the backroom
of his pill-pushing naturopath store in Arroyo Grande!

Shocking!

I know!

I skipped the first 5 minutes of this amazing prophetic expose.
For the REAL truth, go back and listen to the first few minutes
and let us know how amazing it is!

Your life will be changed forever!

You will never gain those precious minutes back!

Hi Ho Silver! To the Kingdom and beyond!

Notice how the prophet is acting like a real prophet. He has a prophet's beard and also does not wash his clothing...I can't wait for Bob Thiel to do this!  Then we will know he is a true prophet!

The Work of God or the Work of Humans?

As the years go by and more and more people get disgusted with the corporate Churches of God corrupt leadership, and more and more blogs and web sites seek to be a unifying presence online, regardless of the corporate church one is tied to or may be attending.

The Work of God (The Work)
The corporate church of god organizations claim to be doing the work of God (or the work). Every time there is a request for financial support (tithes, offerings, special funds, etc.), their claims to be doing the work of God (the work) are front and center.
This work of God (the work) is, according to the church of God organizations, preaching the gospel, which costs money (Google ads with the keyword “God” do cost a lot, for instance) and includes brick and mortar overhead (about 80% of finances goes to salaries, expense reimbursements, housing/utility/etc. allowances, and insurance coverage, as well as maintaining, buying, and building new brick and mortar land and buildings).
There are many problems with this particular phrase, but the first is the phrase itself in light of scripture.
It’s incredible hubris, before we even look at scripture, to claim to be doing God’s work. As if God can’t do His own work (once again, the idea of God and His power, as well as Jesus Christ, being limited), and we, mere mortals in temporary, perishing tents, must help Him.
It’s an insult to Almighty God. To add insult to injury, most of what the church of God groups claim is the work of God (the work) is really the work of humans and has very little to do with God.
Now to scripture and what God says His work – that He and Jesus Christ are doing – is. The work of God – through His word, His spirit, and Jesus Christ – and this should always be at the front of our minds, because in the end, when we stand before Jesus Christ, it’s this work only and how much we willingly cooperated with, participated in, yielded, surrendered, and submitted to, and obeyed that will matter for eternity – is what is happening on the inside of each of us that God has called and chosen.
The work of God is the renewing of our minds, the changing of our hearts and spirits, and the development of God’s holy, righteous character. No human can do that. I can’t and you can’t. But God and Jesus Christ can and will. From Churches of God Lexicon Concretized Christianity

Dave Pack Fails Again: What to do when my prophecies fail
