RCG: Bradford Schleifer What Kind Of A Man Are You That Continues To Defend Dave Pack After His Latest Epic Failure As A Prophet? How Much Longer Will You Be An Active Participant In This Sick Charade?

Here we are heading into Saturday evening of February 6th, 2021, the new date that Dave Pack said that Jesus Christ was returning as an absolute fact. This was an established certainty made by Dave in sermon 285 last week and was such a certainty that Dave said there was nothing further to preach on the subject. We all knew then that nothing would happen and Dave would be exposed, yet again, as a liar.

That brings us to Bradford Schleifer, Dave's #1 right-hand man. For many years he has been covering up for Dave's epic failures and defending Dave to the members of the RCG. No matter how many lies Dave told, Schleifer stood up for him, all the while knowing that Dave is a false prophet.

Since the Restored Church of God takes all scripture as literal it is surprising that he refuses to follow this scripture:

"If the prophet speaks in the Lord’s name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the Lord did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared." Deuteronomy 18:22

Schleifer now knows for a fact that Dave is a false prophet. There is no doubt and no question to that fact. So why does he support Dave? As one person noted earlier in a post here about Schleifer, he knows he is ignoring a clear statement of fact from scripture, AND he is encouraging others to do the same.

"Jesus said to His disciples, “It is inevitable that stumbling blocks will come, but woe to the one through whom they come! It would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble." Luke 17:1-2

Schleifer still wants to present himself as Dave's most loyal ally and yet he may end up being the one who will feel the brunt of Dave's madness when he finally cracks and lashes out at him.  Deep down in Schleifer's soul he has to know that Dave is mad when he sits in meetings with the other 14 ministers as they all listen to Dave's latest vision or excuse.

In the previous post mentioned above, this comment was made:

Actually, when Pack finally cracks, his most vicious attacks, maybe even violent, will be against those closest to him who have been his primary narcissistic sources but are no longer able to comply as his grip on reality becomes weaker and weaker. Lesser men in the Pack hierarchy may be able to recover from Dave's inevitable eventual fall, but the odds are great that Brad Schleifer will go down with the Pack ship, whether his ruin is emotional, fiscal, or involves life itself.

As Dave's righthand man. Schleifer is also one of Dave's enforcers. He backs up the church ministers who actively work to con widows and members out of as much money as they can.  Schleifer knows how much the widows and older members struggle to meet Dave's financial demands, with many of them giving all of their savings and retirements to Dave thanks to All Things Common doctrine. This is the same money that lets Schleifer live in a beautiful home, have a nice car, and live a life without wants or needs.

In the position Schleifer holds, he covers up for abusive ministers under him just like he covers for Dave:

You are a despicable human being Bradford. You KNOW what Pack is doing. How he talks the RCG members out of money and out of their homes. How he destroys families. You KNOW how Pack is holding them hostage with fear about the lake of fire.

And yet you do nothing to help them. Instead, you facilitate David Pack. You kneel before him, instead of before God.

Can you look at yourself in the mirror? Can you live with yourself Bradford, knowing that you are willingly destroying people’s lives? Do you know what God will do with people like you in the end?

Schleifer has made it quite apparent he does not care. Loyalty to Dave is more important. The suffering of members is not a priority.

Dave notices Schleifer's loyalty and exploits it. Dave made Schleifer one of the elites on campus and gave him a new home and rank as an evangelist. Not an evangelist that you see portrayed in scripture, but the abusive kind of evangelist that you see in the Church of God.

Sadly the COG is filled with these kinds of men. Men who stay loyal no matter what. Position and power are far more important than integrity, good character, and men who uphold good biblical standards.

I cannot imagine what will happen when his child learns one day how his dad enabled Dave in his madness and how his dad was abusive towards women and members of the church. That is not a legacy that a child needs to have left to them.

As a reader here in the previous post asked Schleifer.

What kind of man are you?

Do you really want your legacy to be tied to a man who has lost his way and continues to build an ever-changing, never-ending prophecy out of his own delusions????

You have been there too long to think you are not part of the campaign to make merchandise of the brethren!!!

How can you look in the mirror and not see what kind of man you have become under Pack???

PS To Bradford:

If you care to respond to this I will post your response as to why you still support Dave...without any commentary added.

Restored Church of God: It Won't Be Long Now: "Our Watch Continues"

Keeping track of where the first sighting of JC will be

Prophetic Update - Our watch continues!

While it is a discussion beyond the scope of a short update, bear in mind the Sabbath has not ended in the far west. The math and science do not break! In fact, many principles and verses show we must reach the far end of the Sabbath as it exists worldwide—all the way through the time zones of the western islands of the Pacific.

More than a dozen Headquarters ministers who just met discussed this again thoroughly and none can see a way out of tonight. Believe us when we say that we have tried! If there is more to see, God will certainly reveal it. Any details would be passed along in the coming days.

Again, keep watching. Our wait cannot be long!"

CGI Adrian Davis Doesn't Like This Blog Critiquing His Sermons...Says Only People With Discernment Can Understand Him

Sudden Death Overtime (Part 2)

Pastor Adrian Davis of the Church of God International responded to our critique of his “Sudden Death Overtime” sermon by doing a sequel. In this one, he insists that he was merely preaching the gospel and upholding the truth. He goes on to suggest that his message was intended for people with discernment – folks who are able to discern the fact that “the season has changed.”

For Davis, the only folks who could possibly have any problem with anything he said in his first sermon are those who are actively part of the “mystery of iniquity” currently at work in the world, or those who don’t care what Scripture has to say about the future. He tells us that he was preaching to those who have a “high view” of Scripture, that he wasn’t talking to anyone who has a “low view” of Scripture. He said: “If you don’t care what the holy prophets have to say, then we don’t have a conversation.” For the record, this writer has a fairly high opinion of Scripture, and I believe that many of his critics in the previous thread share my high regard for the Judeo-Christian Bible.

Pastor Davis reiterated his belief that we are in the final days of the 6,000 years which he believes God has allotted for mankind to go his own way. Moreover, he suggests that anyone who disagrees with his interpretation of prophecy is a scoffer or doesn’t believe in God’s Kingdom. In the sermon, he makes plain that he believes in the Anglo-Israel slant on prophecy, and that the Biden Administration will move away from Judah (the nation of Israel) and favor the Palestinians. It has apparently never occurred to the pastor that other folks simply may not agree with his interpretations of prophecy!

Davis then proceeds to defend his remarks about the Biden Administration hating Jesus Christ and his followers. He claims that they are all self-admitted Marxists (funny, I don’t remember Joe Biden ever claiming to be a Socialist or a Marxist). He goes on to remind his listeners that all Marxists are enemies of religion. Hence, Biden and his supporters can’t possibly love the “Christ of the Bible.”

To his credit, the pastor does finally admit that he had hoped that Trump would continue in office, and he defended his interest as a Canadian in U.S. politics because of America’s impact on the rest of the world. He goes on to suggest that Biden’s slogan of “Build Back Better” isn’t even an American slogan, and that anyone who falls for it must be deceived! Davis, however, does generously insist that the folks who agree with him shouldn’t hate the folks who voted for Biden, and that everyone should now accept the fact that he’s president (progress is progress - I guess).

Nevertheless, the main thesis of this Part 2 of his message seems to be that folks within the CGI should not criticize him or his allies within that organization. He seemed particularly concerned that some of the membership of the CGI expressed their disapproval of his political remarks. He warns them about apostasy and admonishes them to love the “truth.” He decries the twisted priorities of those who are deceived – that wearing a mask is considered virtuous, but being a pedophile is OK (sounds suspiciously like that QAnon garbage). In short, the message seems to be “stick with me and Bill – we’ve got this stuff all figured out.” Judging from the comments we received from some CGI members on the previous post, Davis may be justified in worrying about some of his folks finding fault with his political messages. As John likes to say, time will tell!

Apostle Pack:The Fudge is on!

Word is...

Prophetic Update

We have received numerous emails from the field expressing your amazement and excitement about what is upon us. Brethren here at Headquarters are right there with you!

As we enter the Sabbath, understand there is a case for Christ coming this side of midnight (Headquarters time). But the case grows stronger after midnight. And the most powerful case of all, with literally dozens of reasons just reviewed by 15 ministers at Headquarters, indicates Christ comes late in the day on the Sabbath tomorrow. So strong is this case, it appears virtually impossible that anything happens tonight. But do not stop watching! It is important to Mr. Pack that all of you remain on the same page we are, hence this brief update.

Rest assured, Christ coming later on the Sabbath in no way violates the intricate mathematical relationships between the key dates we have studied in God’s Plan.

We look forward to seeing you very soon!"

Bob-baloney-ia Notes: RCG’s David Pack about to be proven wrong again

"While David Pack needs to repent and then to be forgiven, no, it is not possible for Jesus to return this week. Furthermore, it is not possible for the Millennium to end as early as April 3, 3028"

The Millennium cannot start until 7 years after the deal of Daniel 9:27 has been confirmed/pushed–for details check out the article: The ‘Peace Deal’ of Daniel 9:27. Such a deal is NOT going to be done by April 3, 2021, hence David Pack’s date for the end of the Millennium is too soon.

David Pack went over the ‘deep end’ years ago and his recent rantings should make that more and more obvious to any that will look.

David Pack has repeatedly been proven wrong and will be once again."

David C Pack "ZERO HOUR- CHRISTS RETURN IMMINENT!

Dave Pack: One More Day And It's Finished!

Gerald Weston says their TV Program is "too hot to handle". Seriously Dude? You are beginning to sound like Bob Thiel!

COG News had this up today about Living Church of God and United Church of God getting dumped by NewsMax. Gerald says it's because their shows are "too hot to handle".

The Living Church of God and the United Church of God have been ruing the ending of their very successful – but very short – relationship with Newsmax.

Gerald Weston expressed his regret that LCG’s Tomorrow’s World program was “too hot to handle for Newsmax. They have dropped us from their schedule … We don’t like being cut from stations, and that was a very fine station, no doubt about it. It was growing, and the cost per response was very, very low, but never the less, using a war analogy, if you’re not taking any flak, you’re probably not over the target. And so we know that we’re going to be cancelled from time to time. We do need to be on the edge enough that we are cancelled, but we don’t want to be cancelled from everything.”

Gerald Weston might like to think that the LCG is on the leading edge of preaching the gospel to the world, so that it is “too hot to handle” even for an extreme right wing TV channel like Newsmax. The truth, however, is that Newsmax TV has cancelled ALL religious programming, because it wishes to focus strictly on news alone.

How convenient that Gerald failed to mention that.

The Official Church of God Football Prayer

This was printed in the April 1, 1973, Worldwide News.  This was probably too early for the doubly cursed false prophet of the COG, diploma-mill "dr." Bob Thiel to have begun his tirades against football.  If he was already spouting his silliness, I am sure this frosted his self-righteous butt big time.

Everyone from Herbert Armstrong to the student body watched football when it was on TV.  Students attended football games all over Southern CA, clear up till the day they officially shut down the campus.  Members did too.

Poor Bob, never on the train and always left behind.

Crackpot COG Prophet Claims Football Is A Lust For The Flesh And Eyes

Well, here we go again. God's most highly blessed prophet/apostle/chief overseer and dream weaver to ever grace the presence of humankind is back again telling us that REAL Christians will NOT be watching the Super Bowl football game this weekend. Jesus will NOT be watching the game and neither should you!

The doubly blessed dreaming prophet Bobiniah Thiel writes:

Would Jesus want you to watch the Super Bowl? What about the Apostle Paul who warned against approving violence? The same Apostle Paul who said to imitate him as he imitated Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1). Would Jesus or the Apostle Paul watch the Superbowl as football fans rooting for one team to crush the other team?

God's end-time man to 299 Caucasians says:

The New Testament also warns Christians against being violent or approving of those that are (Romans 1:28-32), while history records that early Christians would not watch violent sports. Notice one such report from Theophilus of Antioch perhaps written about 180 A.D.:

Consider, therefore, whether those who teach such things can possibly live indifferently, and be commingled in unlawful intercourse, or, most impious of all, eat human flesh, especially when we are forbidden so much as to witness shows of gladiators, lest we become partakers and abettors of murders. But neither may we see the other spectacles, lest our eyes and ears be defiled, participating in the utterances there sung. (Theophilus of Antioch. To Autolycus, Book III, Chapter XV. Translated by Marcus Dods, A.M. Excerpted from Ante-Nicene Fathers, Volume 2. Edited by Alexander Roberts & James Donaldson. American Edition, 1885. Online Edition)

Bobiniah continues:

Since American football games, like the Super Bowl, intentionally inflict various hurts, the following scripture supports the idea that American football will not be allowed in the Millennium:

9 They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea. (Isaiah 11:9, NKJV)

While “love does no harm to a neighbor” (Romans 13:9), what do sports like American football do?

The so-called doubly blessed prophet declares:

If Jesus Himself did watch the Super Bowl, would He watch it and hope that one team would tackle and crash into members of the other team? Or might He watch it, if He did, so He could make social commentary against the violence and/or distorted priorities of the land?

Would Jesus take pleasure in humans damaging other humans for entertainment?

Since most people in the USA have, at one time or another, made some hint of professing following Jesus, a relevant question may also be:

Would Jesus want you to watch the Super Bowl?

Jesus, of course, taught “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 22:39), while the Apostle Paul wrote “no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it” (Ephesians 5:29).

The Bible teaches:

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:15-17)

Tackle football is a lust of the flesh and eyes. Those who claim to be Christian and endorse it are letting the pride of life deceive them.

It really frosts Bobiniah's homeopathic knickers that a lot of COG members will be watching the Super Bowl Game. How dare they!

How many who are in the COGs love the worldly sport of American tackle football and really do not care that it causes irreparable harm to its participants? Is not another reason that some watch it because of their lust for violence and/or for social acceptance?

Bobiniah says he will NOT be watching the game but assures us that there will be very high incidences of injury. He is a prophet, after all, he sees things.

Since I do not actually watch American football, I do not know how many violent acts are likely at this year’s Super Bowl, but the number is likely to be very high, and maybe even a lot more if thoughts of violence are included (cf. Matthew 5:21-22).

The Bobiniah goes on to declare that even touch football may be evil! The horrors! Even worse the Bobiniah can't watch football games because he would be filled with lust for the cheerleaders!

In my view, the tackle version of the sport of American football is evil (touch football I would not consider to be inherently evil–though attitude is still a possible factor there). Also, no Christian can really defend how professional football cheerleading females are publicly dressed and displayed–and presumably some of how they will be displayed at the Super Bowl game.

Would Jesus want you to watch the Superbowl? What about the Apostle Paul who warned against approving violence? The same Apostle Paul who said to imitate him as he imitated Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1). Would Jesus or the Apostle Paul watch the Superbowl as football fans rooting for one team to crush the other team?

“Perhaps,” some might answer. And still others may ridicule and/or dismiss what I have written.

However, if Jesus Himself did watch the Superbowl, would He watch it and hope that one team would tackle and crash into members of the other team? Or might He watch it, if He did, so He could make social commentary against the violence and/or distorted priorities of the land?

It's always fascinating to see COG false prophets whine and bellyache about all kinds of perceived evils in the world, but never lift a hand to feed the hungry, house the homeless, and care for the sick.   Their empty platitudes about some wonderful kingdom to come to the frozen chosen is empty and shallow.

LCG: If You Are A Proper Team Player You Will "...deal with people gently, respectfully, and patiently, and are willing to listen..." Just Like We, The Leadership, Do With You

It looks like LCG members are not all "team players", especially when they criticize and say negative things about LCG leaders.

LCG members need to remember that the ministry can treat you like crap but don't you dare criticize them!

A good team player will forgive LCG ministers when they say or do something that hurts you.

After all, if the ministry says something it is as if God is speaking.

Good team players will always promote harmony like the ministry does, especially when they deal gently, respectfully, and patiently with people.

LCG leaders and ministers have always done this, right?

Skills that Promote Teamwork: Members of successful teams (families, congregations, business groups, and athletic teams) develop the necessary skills to work together smoothly to accomplish goals. These skills can be identified and learned. As Christians, we must develop the same skills—and many are clearly biblical. Effective team players avoid saying or doing things that offend others (Matthew 18:7; 1 Corinthians 10:32). Team players learn to forgive and overlook slights or hurtful comments because they have learned the value of not being easily offended (Proverbs 10:12). Effective team players do not sit in judgment of others—accusing, criticizing, spreading their discontent, or saying or assuming negative things about others on the team. Instead, they make sure their own lives are in order (Matthew 7:1–5; James 4:11). Team players are peacemakers (Matthew 5:9) who can promote harmony and work smoothly with others (James 3:17–18). They deal with people gently, respectfully, and patiently, and are willing to listen  ithout trying to justify their own position (James 1:19). Effective team players appreciate that a team is made up of individuals with different talents and abilities who can make unique contributions to the team (1 Corinthians 12:12). They know the main priority is to work together smoothly to achieve a goal while showing love to one another (Ephesians 4:16). In summary, good team players have learned how to love their neighbors. Let’s all strive to develop these important skills so we can do God’s Work effectively!

Dearest Friends at BannedbyHWA

Greetings Banneditos!

These are the words of myself to the good folk at BannedbyHWA,  who holds the seven stars in my right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: 2 I know your deeds, your hard work, and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. 3 You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary...

It has come to my attention that "Apostle", I never knew him, David C Pack is spreading, and I mean spreading, the rumor that I will be returning tomorrow.  As well, I am supposed to return to the Land of Ohio, of which I have never heard.  Besides, it is Super Bowl Weekend. Why would I return on Super Bowl weekend? I have plays to inspire and underdogs to grant their prayers of victory to, or not depending on how I feel.

So just to be clear.  I have no intention of returning anywhere tomorrow. Dad won't say when I am supposed to but after talking with him, it is clear to me that he is also busy and not trending at all in that direction. Dad does like football however as he says it reminds him of the good old days when he was smiting just about every nation that got in the way of his chosen people.  Speaking of football...who is Bob Thiel?  Love the nicknames.  Bobel-on and on-ia, Bobbalonia and Bobamiah.  LOL...you guys!  We didn't pick him as a salesman either but when he flaps his arms and hands, the whole Host of Heaven gets a chuckle! And those curtains!

Dad also said that returning on a Friday would put pressure on keeping the Sabbath Holy and restful.  He's read the Book of Revelation, which BTW, I did not inspire either, and he's leaning more to a return on a Monday so at least we have the majority of the week to clean up before the next Sabbath.

I did pass along all 258 sermons DCP gave on why Dad and I simply have to return on all those dates now past. Dad listened to the first one but pretty quickly delegated to me saying he had no time for such rubbish.  I agreed and neither did I so passed it on to Lucifer thinking perhaps he could get some good ideas out of it all.  He just threw the whole thing in the fire and kinda chuckled asking again "who wrote this?  The name sounds familiar".

At any rate, I'm not returning tomorrow and I just wanted to get that out there.  Just a reminder. I was nailed to a cross, not a boomerang!  Dad and I are seriously thinking of cutting out all these salesmen/middlemen thinking it was a mistake to count on them from the beginning.  Talk about the game "Telephone".  The original conversation got garbled real quick long before it got to David C Pack.  But my sense is he garbled it up one last time just so there was no discernable truth left in the original message. Some humans, evidently, just like to muck up stuff like that for gain and fun. We'll speak with him personally soon enough.

And too,  Dad and I have tweaked the message just enough so I actually don't have to return at all.  We decided to go with you live, you better believe on me, you do, you die and up to Heaven you come!   I called it "the Simplicity in Me" program. I'm really a nice guy and please don't equate me with my Dad's OT attitudes.  And please don't tell him I said that!  I'm working on him. Dave Pack is way way too complicated and frankly, I can't imagine how he managed to keep those people gyrating in their seats as long as he has.  But trust me. There is a rest for the people of God and we have scheduled it to begin this coming Friday evening at Sunset.

Love to all.  You have tried those who say they are Apostles and are not and I thank you!

Good job!

Your Friend

Jesus

PS and too...  I don't consider you scoffers. It wasn't me or dad who came up with that  "a thousand years is as a day and a day as a thousand years."  Whoever wrote that seemed unable to say, "guess we were mistaken" and had to blame someone for "not getting it." I know you are just good observers of the obvious and willing to speak up. Good on ya!

PCG on why church members are important

The Philadelphia Church of God has a new article up that regurgitates some stuff Herbert Armstrong wrote decades ago. It is about the "vital" role of members to the church and is from HWA's incredibly boring book, Mystery of the Ages.

Like many things written by church leaders over the decades, it has NOT aged well. It starts right off by making a ludicrous statement:

The individual lay member has his vital part in proclaiming the good news (gospel) to the world. How? Not by going out and himself proclaiming Christ’s message to the neighborhood or to the world. That is done primarily and directly by God’s apostle through radio, television and in print!

There is no better example of Christian values than by the everyday actions of a Christian in his/her everyday life. If they actually believe what they say they believe then they live it and it is apparent to those around them.  It doesn't take some globe-trotting "apostle" who has "prepaid" for his visit with world leaders so he can preach about a "strong hand from someplace." Who needs to hear that kind of crap? That message has had zero impact upon the world while the everyday lives of Christians have made such an impact that Christianity has been an active force for 2,000+ years.

The author, Christ’s apostle [Herbert], can say emphatically that the apostles, evangelists, pastors and elders could not carry on the Work of God without the loyal backing and continual encouragement of the lay members.

Neither can the individual lay member develop and build within him God’s holy, righteous and perfect character without the operations of the apostle, evangelists, pastors and elders. All these various members God has set in His Church are interdependent—mutually dependent on one another. They form a team—an organized spiritual organism—utterly different from any secular and worldly organization!

Christianity, and most religions, all operate as "spiritual organisms". Most are mutually dependant upon the interaction of followers with religious/spiritual leaders. This is not something new that Herbert pulled out of his hat.

Then they get to the real reason the church needs members. Money!

In general, the whole operation of the Church costs money. Facilities and methods are available to the Church for performance of its commission that did not exist in the first-century world. Without the tithes and generous freewill offerings of lay members, the Church commission could not be performed in today’s world.

Oh, ye of little faith! No church needs an extravagant campus. No church needs a multi-million dollar concert hall. No church needs private jets. No church needs faculty rows and housing for its elite ministers on the cult compounds in Edmond and Wadsworth. No church needs any of that. It doesn't even need its leaders going to speak to leaders of nations in the world.

Oh, and don't forget, church leaders need the support of the members because of the INTENSE persecution they all suffer.

Without the fervent and prevailing continual prayers of all members, the Work could not be accomplished. Without the continual ENCOURAGEMENT of lay members and those over them locally, those of us operating from headquarters could not bear up under the persecutions, oppositions, trials and frustrations.

Every "persecution" PCG faces and COG's as a whole are because of their own perverse actions. When they run off at the mouth and say dumb things, treat members like crap, and make utterly asinine prophecies, they have no right to claim persecution, opposition, trials, and frustrations. These idiots brought it upon themselves.

Also in reverse, the lay members need just as urgently the encouragement, teaching, counseling and leadership from headquarters and local pastors.

Oh no, they don't! Considering how awful the leadership is in so many of the COG's and the fact that 99.50% of them actually have no training in real counseling presents to church members things they do NOT need.

The “loner”—the “individual Christian,” who wants to climb up into the Kingdom some other way than by Christ and His way through His Church—is not being trained in Christ’s manner of training, to rule and reign with Christ in His Kingdom!

While it is true that Christian is a "communal" faith that creates the need for community in order for the faith to grow it is not a training ground for "proper church government" nor for becoming god as Christ is god.

The Kingdom of God will be the God Family—a superbly and highly trained and organized family of God beings. The Church is God’s special school for training those He has selected and called to be trained in His Church—to be kings and priests, to rule and to teach—for their part in that Kingdom. Only those so trained in the Church will be kings and priests in the Kingdom of God.

Pure bunk. Millions of Christians down through the centuries who have never been part of an Armstrongist COG are immediately cast aside by such flippant remarks. If the soon-coming Kingdom of God is going to be comprised of current COG leadership and certain members then the licking flames of the lake of fire would be more compassionate. Can you imagine 1,000 years being ruled over by the Flurry clan and their followers? Or, Dave Pack and his ministers? Or, even Bob Thiel. Nothing could ever be more frightening!

The sad thing is that over the 80 years existence of this version of the Church of God we have had piss-poor leadership, horrendous abuses dished out on members, hundreds of false prophets, heretical teachings, and morally bankrupt leadership.

Never has the COG NOT been an example of first-century Christianity than it is today.

Crackpot COG Prophet Now Thinks He Is A Movie Critic And Rips Groundhog Day (the movie)

Fauxaphoney Phil Bob

It is always fun watching self-appointed prophets of the Church of God, who in between all of their prophesying and dreaming, have to find something evil about everything in the world around them.

Fauxaphoney Phil Bob, the Great Bwana to Africa and 299 Caucasians has his homeopathic knickers in a twist over Groundhog Day (the Movie). Besides claiming the quaint custom of the Pennsylvania Dutch is a pagan, he rips into the movie Ground Hog Day to prove how self-righteous and pissy he can be.

There is an odd observance on February 2 each year in North America that is called Groundhog Day:
Groundhog Day … is a popular American tradition observed in the United States and Canada on February 2nd. It derives from the Pennsylvania Dutch superstition that if a groundhog emerging from its burrow on this day sees its shadow due to clear weather, it will retreat to its den and winter will persist for six more weeks; but if it does not see its shadow because of cloudiness, spring will arrive early.

While the tradition remains popular in modern times, studies have found no consistent correlation between a groundhog seeing its shadow and the subsequent arrival time of spring-like weather. … The Groundhog Day ceremony held at Punxsutawney in western Pennsylvania, centering around a semi-mythical groundhog named Punxsutawney Phil, has become the most attended. (Groundhog Day, Wikipedia, accessed 04/25/20)

So, no this is not a biblical holiday, so why mention it?

Oh, the horrors! It's not in the Bible, boo hoo! Neither is 99% of the things in the world but that is not an issue to Fauxaphoney Phil Bob.

Next, he attacks the movie itself:

Fauxaphoney Phil Bob writes:

Bill Murray’s character Phil Connors displayed what was warned about in the last days by the Apostle Paul:

1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, (2 Timothy 3:1-2, NKJV throughout)
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, (Galatians 5:19)

Phil Connors loved the world and wanted to pursue the works of the flesh. He did not care much about the following that the Apostle John wrote when his time loop began:

16 For all that is in the world — the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life — is not of the Father but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (1 John 2:16-17)

It is just an f'ing movie Bobbie, just a movie. It has NOTHING to do with Paul's blabbering about the last days or even John's writings. Not one single thing.

Fauxaphoney Phil Bob continues with this:

Do you ever feel that you have to deal with the same problems over and over again? Do you ever wonder if there is any point to it?

We know that there is as:

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Now, back to the synopsis:

Eventually, Phil sees his own shadow, so to speak, and changes from an inconsiderate, callous egocentric into a thoughtful, kindhearted philanthropist, refining his understanding of human decency, which, in return, makes him an appreciated and beloved man in the town. …

He wakes … and finds the time loop is broken; it is now February 3. Phil is a different person than he was on February 1 …

Yes, the trial ended once he learned what he was supposed to learn, then he awoke to a different day. Notice what will happen to Christians:

51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed — 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:51-52)
Getting back to Groundhog Day, Phil learned a version of the following:

27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in the power of your hand to do so. (Proverbs 3:27)

He not only learned it, he practiced it.

A well-done movie always has a "moral to the story" just like Aesop's fables, Bible stories, and fairy tales. Goodness usually prevails, unless you are a COG self-appointed prophet and evil is lurking around every corner waiting to devour unsuspecting COG members that fail to follow their dreams and prophecies.

COG members are always being tested by their angry god to see if they will qualify to get into its kingdom. COG members are never good enough to just rest in an assurance that they have if they actually followed that inconvenient dude that Fauxaphoney Phil Bob and others claim to follow.

Fauxaphoney Phil Bob adds:

Yes, unlike Phil Connor in Groundhog Day, we are striving for an unperishable crown.

Just because you may have been a Christian for a long time, do not think that if you give up you also cannot become disqualified.

You can't, that's a fact, especially if one is following Christ. There is no disqualification, period. But, since COG leaders do not follow Jesus and instead bow at the feet of Moses they are blind to the rest that lies just beyond their reach.

Remember, Jesus said:

12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But he who endures to the end shall be saved. (Matthew 24:12-13)

So, if you ever wonder why you keep going through a lot of the same tests and trials, consider that you are to endure and learn lessons.

With those lessons learned, you will be able to enter the Kingdom of God.

Any Christian who has the slightest inkling about what Jesus did and accomplished totally understands tests and trials are not things to weed out the weak and the chaff. They know that none of their works will ever gain them entrance into some godly kingdom, but that the assurance and faith in that work already done for them has guaranteed it. You can rest assured of that.

Don't let Fauxaphoney Phil Bob Thiel, Dave Pack, Gerald Flurry, and other mentally ill COG leaders make any claims otherwise.

Exclusive Breaking News: Dave Pack Doubles Down: "...we now see Christ, the kingdom, all the New Testament saints and all Israel [resurrected] in just over 4 days.[Friday, February 5. 2021]

The Dave Pack clown show continues....
God has been directly channeling thoughts into Dave's mind...or, so he says.

From an RCG source:

Sermon 285
So, here we go again with another 53 whopping reasons (!) why Christ will be returning this Friday evening.

I would be interested in hearing from an RCG member or minister to issue an apologetic for how Dave can speak "with God's authority," as "His messenger," deliver a 2 hour message where he claims the material comes directly from God and then it is ALL wrong.

So we will either see Christ, the Kingdom, all the New Testament saints and all Israel [resurrected] in just over 4 days, or you have more conclusive evidence that God isn't speaking through or involved in RCG.

Disclaimer: These are loose quotes (consider it the "NLT" of Dave's sermon).
  • 25:05 - "I have 53 points or indicators that Christ comes on the Sabbath!"
  • 47:21 - Is there some reason the final servant [God's Final Servant] who is selected is named "David Passover?"...Why? I know what David meant but why?...It meant I was a Levite probably..." [Hard to know if he meant "Pack/Passover" was why he called himself a Levite, ultimately doesn't matter]
  • 48:50 - In 2014, I explained about the walls of Jericho falling down, now exactly 7 years later [2021 by his count] is when the Father will return. [Unleavened Bread]
  • 49:33 - I knew nothing of this as recently as of last Friday morning...
  • 54:15 - Doubling down on a lot of crazy math. 1,335, 1,290, 11.5 days, 3.5 days, etc...it intersects with Christ's return and now counts down, not up!
  • 57:18-1:06:47 - If Christ doesn't come this Friday, allowing the Father to arrive at the last Day of Unleavened Bread, then it blows up the beginning of the 1290 on Trumpets! The Eighth Head then blows up the world!!!! (RCG foretells 8 heads, not 7, as in WCG) [Note: He really locked himself into this one, so when Christ isn't here on Friday, it will blow up this new picture]
  • 1:09:16 - More, very specific math and nonsensical time cycles. "The Millennium ends on the Last Day of Unleavened Bread, it's impossible to argue with it, unless the sun and moon go away. You can't argue with it! If you want to know the date the Millennium ends its April 3 3028. Dead on! [You are shocked!] I can see the blood loss in your faces, just like the ministers!
  • 1:12:07 - It's a perfect picture...only the whole thing crashes if Christ doesn't come this Friday.
  • 1:25:56 - How would God's messenger [David Pack] eventually know that Jesus Christ was finally coming quickly and in haste? How would he absolutely know the series is over? Simple, a hard date was shown to him that could not be breached. We finally learn how this man knew he finished his charge. He saw a giant blinking red calendar stop sign.
  • 1:26:26 - If this whole picture is wrong I hope you will forgive me, since we will need to move on to some other near term date that I have no idea. So the good man of the "RCG house" would not remotely know when Christ comes as a thief and doesn't anticipate a day and neither should you.
  • 1:28:40 - God streamed this concluding list through my mind without notes or the Bible. I told my staff, type this message, it was tape recorded just as I speak it, (that is also known as automatic writing) "All Israel rises [will be resurrected] this Friday night!
  • 1:46:45 - It's a divine act [Dave's inspiration in Part 285], if all these prophecies are at stake, would God let me mess up? He had to just stream it into me!
  • 1:49:34 - Sabat 24, is this Friday night. May we now see Christ, the kingdom, all the New Testament saints and all Israel [resurrected] in just over 4 days. If its wrong then you now understand why I kinda thought I was on to something.
For any RCG members, feel free to record these and revisit them in a couple months to see how Dave's predictions age (usually not well). Also, you could probably use the same verses/points around this time next year when he "reveals" more "Truth."

Commercial Break Upon Request: WCG and the Moody Blues

Knights in White Satin-The Moody Blues

Charlie Piscatello,  left in this cover and top of the stairs at the beginning and drummer for Moody Blues back in the day came into the WCG shortly after this video. He told me the lifestyle was too hard on him and he had been reading the PT etc.

He was a personal friend and went on to become an Elder for the remnant WCG before passing away a few years ago. Charlie was blind from birth and had no pictures in his mind to relate to. He once asked me to explain what the Space Shuttle was.  I explained it to him with a model of it. He also said he understood power poles but not the lines between them.

He tells of traveling with the Moody Blues by air and was allowed on the flights first because of his blindness but also because he was with the Moody Blues.  He had a seeing eye dog. The Captain always seemed to come out to meet him and Charlie would ask if he would walk his dog one last time before the flight. He then sat back and imagined the Captain  walking around the plane as passengers came on board, with his seeing eye dog.    LOL.

A really good man and stayed with WCG/CGI I believe up until his death.

Escaping from the Philadelphia Church of God

PCG soon to take the "spoils" of Americans when they are kicked out of the U.S.

Despoiling the Egyptians

On the Philadelphia Church of God's Facebook page, there are a lot of comments by people who are NOT part of the PCG cult and are made by people who know how dangerous and devious Gerald Flurry and the PCG are.

One person made this comment:

If you remember from your Bible stories the story about the Children of Israel leaving Egypt that the Egyptians were so glad to get rid of them that they COI took their gold, silver, animals, and other "spoils" with them as they left.

Gerald Flurry has been making comments for many months now that the United States will soon kick the PCG and its members out of the United States due to the message that they preach and the fact that Donald Trump supposedly dislikes them. This was all supposed to happen when DT was reelected.

Flurry has ingrained this teaching so well into his follower's heads that they believe they will be like the Israelites being kicked out of Egypt. When they are forced to leave the United States people will give PCG members their money, gold, silver, and other finery so that the PCG can use these items to secure food and other necessities from the Government of Jordan while PCG members are spending 3 1/2 years in Petra.

A PCG member responded to the above comment:

Sadly, this is not something dreamed up by Flurry and other PCG minions. This was something that was taught to members in sermons by various false preachers in the Worldwide Church of God. The wild fantasies that WCG ministers dreamed up and taught members are appalling. It continues on today with Bob Thiel, Dave Pack, Ron Weinland, and the PCG.

Never has the Church of God been in such a cesspool of spiritual degeneracy than it is today with the current crop of men in charge. They all demand we take them seriously, but how can we when they all lie so much?

David C. Pack in Prophecy: “Foretold” in 1977 by Marion McNair

David C. Pack in Prophecy

“Foretold” in 1977!

Excerpts from Marion McNair

THE FLIMFLAM EVANGELIST-SPIRIT OF ELMER GANTRY

Each new generation of religious awakening spawns its own hybrid variety of the flimflam man–the Elmer Gantry of the pulpit. The gullible eagerly frequents the medicine show, the rainmaker, the healer, the prophet, one who promises the fountain of youth, the mystic elixir of life or ultimate knowledge of the Divine.

Each flim-flammer will seek his own following, shunning those who question the authenticity of his supposedly divine formula. Those men must be called on to account for the slightest failure of their heavenly claims and left desolate with their own hocus-pocus. Without the blessing of the widow's mite their well pressed garments will become rumpled and their fancy potions appear as ineffectual as they really are.

But how can the youth, the non-initiate, the novice detect and avoid the flim-flam religious practitioner? It is not as difficult as one might think. There are, basically, three things to watch.

IMMINENCY OF CHRIST'S RETURN-BEWARE!

The first to be wary of is the man who predicts the imminency of the literal return of Jesus Christ. Christ warned, “Ye know not the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man cometh” (Matt. 25:13). Christ and all the major apostolic authors warned that Christ's return would be as unexpected as the appearance of a thief in the darkness of night (Luke 12:39, I Thes. 5:2, II Pet. 3:10, Rev. 3:6; 16:15).

Heaven guards that event with such secrecy that neither the angels nor even Christ Himself knows the time of its final fulfillment. God the Father has reserved that knowledge to Himself–alone! “. . . of that day and hour knoweth no man, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only,” said Christ (Matt. 25:36),

Even though Christ's literal return will come unexpectedly, it need not catch the child of God unaware. Those who are spiritually prepared will not be startled by Christ's return–even if it comes while he is sleeping in the wee hours of the morning. The time or imminency of Christ's return is something about which one just need not be frightened if he is living a Godly life (II Thess. 5:4).

A mighty temptation rests on every minister and layman–a temptation to dabble in the prophetic date of Christ's return. But every minister or layman who has, or ever will do so, is destined to sail straight into the reef of prophetic disaster.

Why then do ministers do it? It is a very easy way to get people stirred up to the point where they will generously support a work with their financial means. In some cases, hundreds of thousands and millions will be donated by a single individual to support this kind of scare-tactic preaching–something which Christ warned should not be done. He said, “ . . . many shall come in my name saying I am (of) Christ; and The time (of Christ's return) draweth near . . .” (Luke 21:8). What then should one's reaction be when self-styled prophets come proclaiming that Christ's Second Coming is just around the corner? Christ said, “ . . . go not after them . . .” (Luke 21:8).

There is no truth so well documented and yet so widely abused by self-styled prophets. Christ labeled it a forbidden area and specifically warned, “ . . . there shall arise . . . false prophets . . . (Matt. 24:23-24).

Ministers who indulge in this forbidden trickery will invariably construct an elaborate prophetic scheme and eventually become purveyors of dooms-day threats–in many cases directing the venom of their strikes against the sanctity of other Christian faiths.

Such men, after misappropriating millions of widows mites become the victims of their own schemes as the scripture of Deuteronomy 18:22 is fulfilled upon them,
“When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously; thou shalt, not be afraid of him.”

SELF-STYLED PROPHET-BEWARE!

The second thing to watch in detecting the Elmer Gantry flimflam type has already been referenced–the self-styled prophet. As his prophetic structure grows it will become increasingly necessary that he be looked upon as having a higher station than the ordinary minister of Christ. Eventually his decisions will be equated with a “Thus saith the Lord.” Those of such esteem will gradually assume the position of the sale keeper, regulator and interpreter of God's Holy Word. They will then exercise the freedom to add to and detract from the Scriptures.

What does God say about such as this? “If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book . . . God shall take away his part out of the book of life. . .” (Rev. 22:18-19).

While this scripture pertains primarily to the book of Revelation, the same holds true for the entire Bible At the time of his death, the writer of Revelation, the Apostle John, had compiled and canonized the Scriptures as we have them today. He wrote the above quote. There is no room for special revelation when it comes to Truth. “Grace and truth came (not is coming or will come–but CAME) by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17). Paul made it clear, while writing to the Hebrews, “. . . (God) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son . . .” (Heb. 1:2), whose words are recorded in the Bible.

Beware of the self-styled prophet who uses double meaning phrases such as, “God has revealed to me,” If you believe your Bible, you know God is not now giving direct revelation to men. Beware of the man who claims otherwise.

THE WHOLE TRUTH SYNDROME

Thirdly, beware of the organization which thinks or teaches that they are the only ones who have “The Truth.” Further examination will reveal that they teach salvation is generally possible through their closed society alone. They subtly infer that only they hold the key to the Golden Gate of God's Heavenly Kingdom. Hundreds of years–perhaps eighteen hundred years have gone by without the gospel having been preached–according to them. Souls for centuries, have been doomed to their graves without the saving grace of the Gospel of Christ–according to their teaching. Beware of those who supposedly have a monopoly on heavenly things.

….

Beware of the modern space-age flimflam Elmer Gantry as he may some day peer through your space-scope. Keep your hand on your hip because he is going to reach for your wallet.

If he uses your offerings for any project other than Christ's commission of preaching His Gospel, you haven't donated to the real cause of Christ. You, my friend, have experienced a Religious Rip-Off!

If he uses your offerings for any project other than Christ's commission of preaching His Gospel, you haven't donated to the real cause of Christ. You, my friend, have experienced a Religious Rip-Off!
