Dave Pack: Zombies: "...you’re forgetting the absolute avalanche, tsunami and earthquake, of additional details and knowledge we just got."

10 signs Dave Pack is a zombie

Now let’s have a little fun. Okay. We have to put a few things together. I haven’t gone too long yet. I don’t have a lot more to cover, but I have some, and I want to get a few things in.
……I can tell you, anybody who is upset because they wouldn’t know more details, you’re forgetting the absolute avalanche, tsunami and earthquake, of additional details and knowledge we just got.
Many great questions, I said a few weeks ago, will go away; a few small ones will remain. How God does everything on that day…It’s a challenge! It’s a challenge. Scores of thousands of spirits—of “just men made perfect”—have to come…Bearing all the personality and character development, and all that Mr. Armstrong taught about the spirit of man…have to come with Christ to be mergedback into bodies that, if they stood up ready for the resurrection without those spirits, would leave them basically just zombies. They would be people without “the spirit in man,” and we have a word for that—animals. They would be animals that look like people. But when Christ prepares His bride, He brings those spirits. So, that’s all part of the picture, and maybe it will elicit some questions for some later that we can cover in two weeks during the question and answer final part.

"the avalanche.....of knowledge we just got!"

And, predictably, it all centers on Dave's latest theories which he has presented as the new "gnosticism" for all of the long-suffering but gullible RCG members. They must feel so special as compared to the other splinter members! Oh, wait a minute! Those other people have been given their own special stuff to gloat over by their leaders. Considering all of the weirdness, I'll settle for feeling normal! Normal is good. Normal removes the "fleecing carrot".

There's some concern that he wants to turn others into zombies....

Dave Pack: “...you're forgetting the absolute avalanche, tsunami and earthquake, of additional detail and knowledge we just got.”

The “avalanche, tsunami and earthquake” causing destruction in David Pack's RCG are probably intended to outdo Gerald Flurry's “new revelation” that “flooded the PCG” and left everyone in it drowning in his sewage.

“Now let’s have a little fun. Okay.”--DCP

Only psycho Dave gets to have any twisted “fun.” The other RCG inmates have to laugh at his sick jokes so they do not get accused of having a bad attitude and have it turn into Dave yelling and spitting at them.

I always felt compassion for the "saints" whose graves were opened and they roamed Jerusalem until an editor added "after His resurrection" because if that had not been added, Jesus would not have been the first born of many brethren. Pretty sad they had to have their graves opened but then had to lie there for three days staring at the sky waiting to be get up. I wonder if that's the origin of "Help, I've been resurrected but I can't get up"??

Jerusalem Zombies

"51 And behold, the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. And the earth shook, and the rocks were split. 52 The tombs also were opened. And many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised, 53 and coming out of the tombs after his resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many. Matthew 27:51-53 NASB

I suspect , since this never came up again save in Matthew or was recalled by anyone, it is another dramatic Matthean tale weaving .

Sure, with the bedrock of fake news and fake knowledge, fantasy can be fun AND extremely dangerous. Whether we call them the walking dead, sheeple, or the blind leading the blind. Which reminds me of Isaac Asimov's book "Nightfall".
"Blindness is so necessary! You must see that!" DCP
Laugh and learn, vicariously.
And here is the horrible 1988 film.
