James Malm: There Will Be NO Dissent In My Church - It's My Way Or the Highway

The Church of God's greatest Pharisee is its greatest proponent of the law.  Grace and love are tools of Satan that allow unbridled "sin" to take over a persons life.  Being shackled to the law supposedly stops that wantonness.  In my decades in Pasadena that belief has been proven wrong many times over.  The laws never stopped anyone in the Church, in most cases it caused them to do more things. the more the church prohibited the more people rebelled.

Apostle Malm is setting himself and his splinter cult up for failure.  He is not bringing anyone closer to God.  If anything, he is driving a wedge between them and the God they seek to follow.  Begin shackled to law and being told what to do 24/7 is very comforting to some.  Being allowed freedom is an unknown concept to many.  Freedom brings insecurity and the ability to ask questions.  That in turn can lead to doubt and doubt is a four letter word in Armstrongism.

Apparently one of Malm's acolytes dared to question the teachings of the apostle.  Retribution was swift and public.

While Larry assured me that he was of like mind with me when he offered to set up the Facebook site last year, I have been hearing otherwise.  I therefore wrote him yesterday to ask his positions, and he responded by saying that he is not against me, he just does not agree with me.

Larry has taken a stand on the calendar, however he does not agree on the meanings of the Festivals etc, and has said that he will not attend our Feast site because I will not allow dissent  He has chosen to attend the Feast with UCG [Do they allow sermons  dissenting from their teachings?  I expect that this means that Larry wants to attend with UCG because he agrees with their teachings on the Festivals.] and is trying to set up for the true Eighth Day [by the Biblical Calendar]  a few days after UCG holds theirs.

In case some believe that Larry and I are on the same page doctrinally and about the Feasts; I feel c0mpelled to issue this clarification:

Larry does not agree with the teachings on this Blog concerning the Festivals, and is doing whatever he does on his own:  He does not represent me,  nor is he associated with me when he diverges from the teachings and doctrine at TheShiningLight.

Dave Pack Second Passover: Will He Visit Weinland In Prison and Wash His Feet?

Today is the date of the Second Passover in Armstrongism.  Though, if you are a Malmite, you are doing it on the wrong day.

Today is the day that Dave Pack should be going to visit Ron Weinland in prison to wash his feet.  Can Dave humble himself enough to do so? Can Dave be a REAL Christian for once and be just an itty-bitty Christ like to another person?

Will Dave wash the feet of a prostitute today?

Will Dave wash the feet of an AIDS patient today?

Will Dave wash the feet of disfellowshipped spouses he has kicked out of RCG?

Will Dave wash Rod Meredith's feet?

What is he afraid of?

Why can he not do what is commanded in the Bible when he is supposed to be taking the Passover?

Why can he not forgive those he feels have wronged him?

Why can't he give Rod Meredith the kiss of peace?

Why is Dave such a poor example?

Prophet Bob Thiel: Speaks Out About Thwarted Terrorist Attack and Then Says Canada Is Doomed

Armstrongism's latest buffoon, the non-ordained self-appointed prophet Thiel has a blog entry today about Canada's thwarted terrorist attack against a U.S train bound for Canada.

The false prophet quotes from an article appearing in the CTV News.  Then the false prophet has to add his two cents worth.   Apparently the false  prophet feels the country of Canada is a nation of heathen, false Christian, unrepentant pagans, who have turned their back on his "god" and are therefore about to get spanked!

Then the false prophet has to get in another dig at the United States. It too is doomed to soon be taken over by invading German hoards.

It is very good news if a major terrorist attack was truly thwarted, and it certainly sounds like one was. Canadian officials are well aware that their country is not exempted from terrorism, and apparently took pro-active steps to prevent what could have been a human disaster.

Of course, as far as terrorism goes, it was prophesied long ago:

14 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments,
15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,
16 I also will do this to you:
I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart.
And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies.
Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. (Leviticus 26:14-17)

But it is good that some potential terrorists were apparently stopped.
Yet, like the USA, without national repentance, Canada itself doomed. Since Canada seems to be going more into sin nationally, that type of national repentance seems unlikely. Yet, personal repentance is still possible. Do you see the winds of change in the Canada and elsewhere?

Stupidity abounds, as usual.

Blog Comment Moderation

For the last several weeks a few on here have made it their priority to attack other individuals for their beliefs or non-beliefs.  I don't give a rats ass on what you believe or don't believe.  That is part of the reason I rarely comment on my posts or about comments of others.   It is your experience, not mine. We all share a common bond because of the shared experiences we all have for being part of Armstrongism, whether it be good or bad. 

Some have been so scared by the COG that they have left religion all together, others have moved on to places that have deep spiritual meaning to them.  One group is not going to influence the other group into changing their understanding. 

People are all on different journeys and no one has the right to denigrate that journey the other person is on.  It may not be my way or your way, but so what!  We can all learn from each other and share what we have experienced.

I have had to screen a lot of comments lately that started several weeks ago.  Because of that I have received several emails from various people calling me all kinds of names.  I don't have time to go back and weed out every single comment from one snarky side or the other.  Some I have deleted and some I have missed.  You can call me any name you want, as some of you have, and accuse me being things I am not, as some of you have.  I DON'T CARE! Go whine to Dave Pack or Gerald Flurry as I am sure they will give you a willing ear to vent to, then come back and tell us how that went.....

I would hate to cut off comments, like almost all COG related blogs and web sites have done, just because of exactly what has been happening here lately.  Too many people have horror stories that they need to share or that can help other escape the legalistic shackles of Armstrongism.

Too many lives are still being shattered and destroyed by the degenerate leaders of the various splinter cults.  These are vile men who have set out to destroy the mental, spiritual and physical lives of their members.  The decades of hiding behind the curtain are over.  They are being accountable for their actions.
