Gerald Weston: LCG Members Still Working Need To Give More Money To Make Up For The Money The Church Is Not Getting From Unemployed Members

Gerald Weston is again sticking his hands into LCG member's pockets by giving another sob story on how desperate the work of the Living God is for money.  For all of those home-bound LCG members who traveled to work and spent money on gas and airfare, he wants you to send him that money.  Don't save it up for a rainy day or future shutdowns. If you are still working and getting paid, please give Gerald your "extra" money to make up for the money that unemployed members are not sending in now. The Living God needs it!  That Big Dude in the sky can't do anything without your money!

Many people are looking for answers that we can provide, but with so many of you out of work, doing our Work of preaching the true Gospel and warning this world of what is to come is a challenge. Though it was not unexpected, we already saw a downturn in income over the last two weeks.

However, I want to be totally open with all of you. We did receive the blessing of a large sum of money just as this crisis was beginning. God knew we would need it, and He provided it. He positioned us to be in the best shape financially in many years going into this difficult time. We also have savings in hall rentals and travel expenses as we shift during this crisis to holding Sabbath services online temporarily. This offsets some lost income, but even with these savings, our reserves could be depleted if this lasts very long.

While we have been abundantly blessed here in the United States, that is not the case for many of our offices, congregations, and members around the world. We expect that at least some of our international offices will need help. We also do not want to deplete our reserves to the point of not being able to take advantage of new doors opening to preach the Gospel. For example, we just signed a contract for a television station that covers Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Morgantown, West Virginia. Both cities have Living Church of God congregations ready to welcome newcomers to share in fellowship with people of like mind. The program is scheduled to begin airing Sunday, May 3, at 7:00 a.m. on WPCW. Please pray that it will provide excellent results.

Because of these reasons, I’m asking that those who are able, those who have regular income and are themselves saving from lower travel costs, to please consider giving a little extra to make up for those who are out of work. It is not reasonable to ask people to do what they cannot do, and we will not employ emotional appeals with sad faces and sentimental music. Instead, I am making an honest and simple appeal: Now is a time for those of us who are still working, or who have much, to make up for those out of work or who have little.

This world needs the good news of the coming Kingdom of God. That good news goes far beyond some sort of retirement in the clouds or some kind of celestial drug trip.
Weston is such a condescending man with the stupid things he says that he must think is cute or impressive.

Weston goes on to fail to mention that in his alternate version of a celestial drug trip, his world will be ruled over by LCG tyrant ministers and members.  Watching how COG leaders and some members have treated us over the decades, this is NOT something that the public needs to be desirous in joining.

The Pathetic Membership Numbers of Philadelphia Church of God

Exit and Support has a fascinating chart detailing the current membership of the Philadelphia Church of God from Ohio to the West Coast. In their own home state they cannot draw in more than 50 members. Truly laughable!

That Other Prophet Says Dave Pack is Wrong: Christ Cannot Return Till 2027

By the time COG Jesus Christ gets here
he is going to be really ticked off at all the delays he has had to endure.

The Great Bwana to Africa takes great exception to Dave Pack's latest announcement that Jesus was returning last week. As we have all seen, Dave was an epic failure. No Jesus. No tribulation. Nothing.

Now Jesus Christ will be delayed yet again as the self-appointed leader of the improperly named "continuing" Church of God says that his "jesus" cannot return until at least 2027.

04/15/20 p.m. Banned by HWA reported that RCG put out the following:
* Habakkuk 2:3 plainly says “the vision is yet for an appointed time [a moad].” The seven days of Passover are a moad! But recall events unfold at the “end”—“at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” The “end” of the appointed time of Passover is the Last Day of Unleavened Bread!
A few weeks ago Banned by HWA reported that RCG put out the following:
One thing to consider, this Tuesday evening, going into Adar 29, is the exact day—the last day before the first day of the sacred year—we reach the 6,000-year plan of God. Could this be the “last day” we have all been looking forward to? Only time will tell but so many things line up for us to consider this possibility.
As of this moment, I have not been able to verify this is truly from RCG as it is not available online from their website in a search. But presuming that this was accurate, David Pack and RCG were very wrong. There was no way that 5999th year (or if it means it differently the 6,000th year) ended during or at the end of the Days of Unleavened Bread in 2020.
The last Day of Unleavened Bread has ended in Wadsworth, Ohio (where RCG is based) and Jesus has not returned.

Anyway, Jesus cannot return for at least seven years from now. Hence, for those who believe in a 6,000/7,000 year plan as has been traditionally taught, the 6,000 years cannot end before 2027.  Bob Thiel
