John Brisby: If You Criticize The Work You Are Blaspheming The Holy Spirit

Jon Brisby, the current head of the Church of God the Eternal, has not been known to be a sound theologian for many years now. Never having any real theological education other than a bunch of Herbert Armstrong's booklets, he resorts to lots of edicts that make no sense at all. That is evident in his silliness below describing how not supporting and criticizing the work is blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Bwana Bob will certainly get his holistic knickers in a major twist reading this since there is only ONE church actively doing the "work" today and it certainly is NOT Jon Brisby.

Jon wonders why his church is shrinking like the rest of the COG's, this is why:

Who then is in the greatest danger of committing this unpardonable sin—the sin that Christ said equates to blasphemy of the Holy Spirit? It is the one who is called by God to be part of His firstfruits harvest—pictured by the true Pentecost—but who is refusing to accept the Truth revealed in our very day by this same Jesus Christ. Christ confirmed that He did indeed do a Work in our day—these last days:

Beware therefore, lest that come upon you, which is spoken of in the prophets; Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you (Acts 13:40–41).

Christ said by this that His divine Work is present someplace right now. But many of His called children are claiming otherwise. Because of the misbehavior of many Church of God ministers of the past, they have become jaded and resentful against any organized group today. They believe that they can worship God just fine on their own. But Jesus Christ said otherwise:

Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him (John 7:16–18).

Two facts are critical from this statement: First, the doctrine is everything. And secondly, recognizing the voice of God through chosen instruments who are sent is paramount. Christ promised that He would indeed preach that true doctrine through human instruments in our day:

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! (Romans 10:14–15)

Yet many of God's truly called children today are kicking against this very fact. They have vowed to trust no man to teach them the Truth of God. They will get it all by themselves through their personal prayer and study alone. But that very philosophy is an absolute denial of the Work of God being done today through the Spirit of Truth. They do not realize it, but it is exactly the same thing that the Pharisees were doing when denying that Christ's healing miracles came from God. It is a vilification, an evil speaking, a railing, and yes, a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Because if Christ is truly working through a human ministry someplace upon this earth, and if some of His called children are refusing to acknowledge that Spirit of Truth in action, then they are not just rejecting "a man," but they are rejecting the very work of God's Spirit by Jesus Christ Himself:

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, [it] shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning (John 15:20–27).

How then can you avoid being guilty of blaspheming the Holy Spirit and committing the unpardonable sin? No matter how much and how aggressively you may have been resisting God's divine Work thus far, it is still not too late. But you need to acknowledge that Christ truly is still working to feed His sheep miraculously through an organized remnant body. He promised that the gates of hell would never prevail against that true Church (Matthew 16:18). So it is here someplace. Wherever it is, it is a work that respects the original revelation of Truth given by God in our age through a chosen servant. If you are still claiming that Herbert Armstrong was not that servant—and you have every reason to know better—you are in danger. If you are acknowledging the legitimate origin of that true Church but are still chafing today at the requirement to "become part of" a remnant fellowship—because you refuse to be taught "by any man"—you are likewise treading on very dangerous ground. But if you are willing to fight against that enemy spirit which is seeking to keep you divided from the Body of Christ, and if you will humble yourself and hear the True Shepherd, even though it is coming through the foolishness of preaching (1 Corinthians 1:21), then you can escape the road that leads to death—eternal damnation. All it takes is an acknowledgment, and then a sincere walk in the correct direction. He will hear you, and He will lead you by His Spirit to bear real spiritual fruit.  Member letter, June 2022

LDS Leader In Hot Water After Plagiarizing Armstrongite Splinter Group Leader John O. Reid from Church of the Great God

A reader here directed me toward this story.

Who could have ever imagined a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints elder would be quoting a splinter group leader from Armstrongism! I never had that on my COG Bingo Card!

Religion News Service had this article up by

"(RNS) — A leader of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints appears to have plagiarized a portion of his address at a national church gathering, passing off the words of an obscure religious teacher as his own.

During the church’s recent General Conference, held Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 1-2), Elder David Bednar, a former university president and a member of the body known as the Quorum of 12 since 2004, preached to church members about a well-known New Testament parable about a king who throws a wedding for his son, only to have none of the invited guests show up."

The article goes after describing the story and then has this:

"What the former university president did not tell those listening is that the interpretation of the parable was not entirely his own. Instead, his analysis was taken, often word for word, from a 2016 article about the parable written by John O. Reid, a leader in a little-known sect referred to as the Church of the Great God.

Bednar also read several quotes from Reid and from Elder James E. Talmage, an LDS leader who died in 1933, crediting some, but giving the impression that the ideas were his own. Footnotes to Reid’s article and Talmage’s work, as well as other sources, do appear in the published version of Bednar’s talk — but material from both appears without quotation marks."

RNS then has this:

"Religion News Service first contacted church leaders about Bednar’s address on Wednesday (Oct. 5). At that time, the transcript had only one footnote mentioning Reid and no quotation marks around material taken from his work, according to screenshots of the transcript and an internet archive of the page. That single footnote and the only mention of Reid appeared after several paragraphs of material lifted from Reid with no attribution."

Brethren, Make Sure To Turn In Your Excess Second Tithe!

From an LCG source:

LCG wants our excess second tithes, but do they deserve it? Do any of the COG's really deserve it? It is not a command or even expectation under the New Covenant. This year treat your family or yourself to something special and let the elite from HQ make better decisions about what type of facilities they rent or use. Let those elite HQ representatives that get free housing and big bonuses for use at the Feast donate that money. Let's have the elite leadership set the example, for once.

Excess Second Tithe

Some have thought that excess second tithe is no longer set aside for a specific purpose and may be used back home. That is not the case. To do so is to profane what God has set aside as holy!

The Church has traditionally said that a portion of one’s excess second tithe may be used to supplement—not replace—one’s Last Great Day offering. However, one should take care to cover expenses regarding the trip home, some of which can be unexpected, such as a flat tire. After returning home, excess second tithe should then be sent in as a “Festival Tithe Donation” so that it will be put in a fund to help take care of next year’s Festival expenses. It should be noted that the Church rarely, if ever, receives enough Festival Tithe donations to cover all Feast-related costs.

Generally, excess second tithe should not be saved for the following Feast. However, there may be exceptions to this. When someone is going to retire and does not expect to have sufficient funds for the next year, saving some excess second tithe is permissible. Close family members separated by great distances are permitted to occasionally save for the following Feast so they can be with family when that would otherwise be impossible. In situations where income is erratic, it may be best to spread out a bountiful year’s second tithe over several years. But none of this should be our usual practice—we are to save up from year to year (Deuteronomy 14:22).

While it might seem selfless to minimize second tithe expenses during the Feast in order to send more to the Church at the end of it, doing so can frustrate the very purpose of second tithe! Seek to satisfy that purpose during the Feast, seeing to it that you and your family rejoice abundantly and enjoy picturing what God’s Feast represents—thereby learning to fear the Eternal, who gives such gifts to those who love Him. This purpose should be satisfied first—then any additional contribution in your final offering will truly be “excess.” How do I use my second tithe?

A Load Drops on David C. Pack!

A Load Drops On David C. Pack!

Setting a new low (and at the same time, hysterical) standard for “Pathetic Updates” in Member Services, Team Enablers at The Restored Church of God have all but admitted they are out of ideas. The Coffee Kid and the Meat Shield spent the day shrugging at one another. They are sorely in need of a massage.

It took three paragraphs to say, “Let’s do this again tomorrow because this morning was so awesome!”

Wait for it:

Friday, October 7 at 11:16am — The First Kingdom of God Arrives!

October 6, 2022

Brethren, for many reasons, the 10 days of Revelation 2:10 end IN the day of the Lord (meaning inside it). Recall the many events that happen “IN that day”—including completion of the saints who are “blameless IN the day of our Lord Jesus Christ” (I Cor. 1:8)—again meaning INSIDE this day, not at its start or end. While the fulfillment we await “tarries” (for two days after Atonement), we faithfully “wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay” (Hab. 2:3)!

In simple terms, 9 of the 10 days are before the Last Great Day, and the 10th day ends IN that day at “evening time” (meaning “dusk now” in the Hebrew). This was extremely hard to discern until God dropped a load of proof on us. The heavenly signs (6th seal) close the 10th day before God intervenes at evening to extend it, bringing “all the saints with Him” for what starts His wrath. We thought there were three days before the Feast and then the remaining seven preceded the Last Great Day. In fact there are two days before the Feast (one is a full Sabbath) and then the remaining eight complete the Last Great Day before God lengthens it.

The picture you already have is correct—except that timing was too early by one day. Now the first Kingdom arrives at the exact moment the Sabbath occurs (Jerusalem time)! Just recall Acts 1:6-7.

In Christ’s service,

David C. Pack

Ha ha ha ha ha.

Ha ha ha ha ha.

Ha ha ha ha ha.

Just when I thought David C. Pack teaching the members of RCG that God blinded him was hilarious enough, this golden brown nugget lands in everyone’s lap.

“This was extremely hard to discern until God dropped a load of proof on us.”

It is actually David C. Pack who drops a load on the members of The Restored Church of God. For seven years running. He is no longer content with only pissing against the wooden walls of the Hall of Administration Third Floor Executive Imaginarium, but today he took a squat right there on the boardroom table as the Coffee Kid fetched a shovel.

This is a perfect illustration of the quality of his work and the source of his inspiration. David C. Pack does not speak for the mind of God. He is not being led by God, and this prophecy series is an abomination.

“The picture you already have is correct—except that timing was too early by one day.”

The picture is correct…except. That is an old standby. Timing is everything when it comes to proving a true prophet from a false one. The moment he set a date was the moment he reached a point of no return. He can never stop now. And he can never be right.

Jesus Christ will not return tomorrow at the beginning of Sabbath Jerusalem time. He will not return tomorrow at the beginning of Sabbath Joseph time. He will not return any time David C. Pack declares it.

He admitted God removed his dunamis.

He admitted God blinded him.

He admitted God dropped a load on him today.

Man, what is in store for this guy next time?

Dave Pack: The Road To Nowhere

Road To Nowhere

In less than one hour, David C. Pack of The Restored Church of God will fail again.

The First Kingdom of God will not arrive today, October 6, at 11:18am, as he declared Saturday.

October 1, 2022

@ 01:03 I could not have dreamed that there could be so much that would come so clear and become so easy, so fast, so close to the end. But that's what happened.

While he eats his lunch this afternoon, will he ponder that he did not learn so much, and it was not so clear and not so easy as he continues going way too fast, and we are not as close to the end?

No. He will pester “lesser ministers” with imaginings about “something we missed.” The enablers will circle the wagons and surround the false apostle with pillows because his ego bruises easily.

The next part of the series is coming because David C. Pack cannot be quiet for a year. He cannot stew in his own insignificance for that long. The idea of preaching the gospel to the world, updating the literature, or recording a new The World to Come is too frightening and offensive to consider. The show must go on.

While reflecting on what will not happen today, I kept hearing a song in my head. In 1991, Ozzy Osbourne released “Road to Nowhere.”

The wreckage of my past keeps haunting me

It just won't leave me alone

I still find it all a mystery

Could it be a dream?

The road to nowhere leads to me

The sad part is that David C. Pack leads the entire ministry and membership of The Restored Church of God to nowhere. Meanwhile, he is the center of that nowhere. They will continue to move in circles he created that all lead back to him.

Those lyrics were more eerily close to home than I remembered.

The Greatest Unending Story! is a wreckage. A wreckage of biblical fraud. A wreckage of prophetic nonsense. A wreckage of well-documented failure. A wreckage of people’s faith.

The past harasses David C. Pack. His own words condemn him. His own words expose him. Reminding everyone of what he said five days ago is framed as “the devil attacking the church.” There is no end to his volume of words, and they will not leave him alone.

@ 06:18 That is astonishing blindness.

@ 58:58 It’s the start of the 12th [of Tishrei], Jerusalem time. About 11:20 this Thursday morning. That's just math. It's not me saying anything. It's just math. I can count to 10.

He believes he has been charged by God to end the “Mystery of God” of Revelation 10:7, which means he is the seventh angel. Filled with medical-grade delusion, he does not understand that he will never understand.

Bible prophecy will forever remain a mystery to him. What God wants will be a mystery to him. Why he perpetually fails is a mystery to him. The reason behind God striking him with blindness and removing all dunamis from him will be a present-progressive mystery.

But the answer is painfully clear: God is not guiding him. The Restored Church of Another god is led by a Pastor General and Professional Blasphemer who makes merchandise of the brethren. Darkness has captured the corporate sheepfold.

Today, the brethren inside RCG will have to wrestle with this. More clarity will come to prove things are still right on track. When physical reality clashes with mental reality, the human mind has an astonishing way of compensating. Keep checking Member Services for a critical "Pathetic Update."

@ 1:49:15 All you gotta do is sit there and shut up and learn.

Quit calling your local "minister" with vexing questions. He does not have the answers. This is how David C. Pack sees you; you better stay this way.

The man lives in a dream where he is identified throughout the Bible. Let the words of David C. Pack destroy David C. Pack.

The attacks in this book are undeniably sound and ferocious. He has become the very creature he once warned everyone about.

Ponder this and stand in awe. God has a brilliance that cannot be fathomed.

The road to nowhere leads to me

The Restored Church of Another god is being led on the road to nowhere with a false apostle at the center of attention. All this road does is lead back to David C. Pack.

The seven years of circling have weakened the brethren, not built them up. The seven years of circling have drained the brethren, not filled them up. The seven years of circling have consumed the brethren, not fed them. God have mercy!

Watch the clock at 11:18am today to see what happens.

Spoiler Alert: David C. Pack will fail.

The frantic spin will follow.
