LCG Pastor: Nothing Wrong With Watching The Super Bowl

Poor discredited prophet Thiel.  Even LCG is taking swipes at him after his silly rash of posts lately about the evil and satanic game of football.

Wallace Smith writes:

Every year when it comes around, I discuss whether or not we will watch it, and this year I suspect we will still be on the road coming home from Pittsburgh, so if it makes the driving less congested, all the better! We’ve had several posts here on the blog about football–whether it’s a sin to watch it, will there be football in the millennium, the crime of putting bounties on opposing teammates where thugs are paid to hurt others, how it provides lively Spokesman Club table topics fare, how elderly ladies can wrongly be made to feel guilty for enjoying it, and how local communities should be warned when nerds throw footballs–and rather than make a (yet) another post, I thought I would simply list previous discussions for those who might be interested. And while I think I have addressed it before in at least one of the previous posts, I am sympathetic to the argument that they football players should go back to wearing leather hats instead of the helmets they use today, or even outer-padded helmets. There are a number of sports which could probably be made safer in a number of ways–professional pencil sharpening, for instance–and American football is clearly one of them. (As discussed, below, though: does that make the sport inherently sinful? Not at all. If something done unwisely made it inherently sinful, we’d all be in a lot more trouble than we are.) Apparently, the Super Bowl cometh…

Apostle Malm Starting New Feast Site. All The Law all The Time.

A couple of years ago I made a prediction that apostle Malm would soon have a Feast site.  That prediction is coming true.  I am now a certified PROPHET with a track record BETTER than prophet Thiel!  Would someone PLEASE accidentally lay hands on me and make me a REAL prophet now?

Today, apostle Malm announced he is planning a Feast site in either Medford Oregon or Washington State.

2013 Feast of Tabernacles
I want to thank those who have proposed various locations for holding a Feast of Tabernacles this year.  The potential locations have come down to Washington and Oregon, mainly because there are experienced men in those states who are willing to help find suitable facilities.

Medford Oregon was at one time a WCG Feast site and I am in contact with a retired deacon living in that area, who was ordained in 1986 and who  is aware of the facilities available.

Another man also a deacon of decades experience, lives in Washington state and is volunteering to seek out potential sites in that state.

Setting up a site for the 2013 Feast of Tabernacles will depend on costs/finances, availability of a location and on whether folks want to attend.

We will have a date certain by late March which will then enable us to select and reserve a site.
I am well aware that our visitors are widely scattered around the world  and that many will not have the means to travel and attend.   What we need now is some indication of the numbers of people who would like to attend.

Would all those who would like to and are able to attend a 2013 Feast of Tabernacles site in Washington or Oregon please contact me at jdm3@hotmail.com  as soon as possible.

Then apostle Malm lets us know just exactly what will be happing at his feast site.  His site won’t be filled with those unconverted COGers who flock to resort towns where they occasionally skip a service to sight see.  It will be filled with folk who talk about the law for 9 straight days.  Little about Jesus will be discussed but you can be damn sure know that the law will be discussed! There will be a strict format at apostle Malm's feast site.

You will get to experience MORE services though with shorter meeting times.  21st century folk have short attention spans and the apostle wants their full attention.

Please be aware that this will be a Feast somewhat different from the traditional WCG.  The Sermons and Bible Studies will be consistent with the teaching on this blog.  It will be a Feast of much strong spiritual meat; not a vacation in some tourist site.

I do not believe in speaking to fill in time and you can be sure that presentations will be full of meat and not long-winded, boring; same old, same old.  The Feast will be about making the most of our time for spiritual instruction.  I also believe that the traditional two hour meetings strain the normal attention span and I would plan more Services and Bible Studies, with shorter Services of about an hour to an hour and a half length.

False Prophet Thiel: Unconverted Spokesmen Club Men IGNORED My Speech Against Football

What an absolutely brilliant day to be an inappropriate male!  The sky is a brilliant blue with white wispy clouds.  It’s a pleasant 75 degrees here in Southern California with a slight breeze.  Anticipation is in the air for the big game.  Traffic is light on the freeways and last minute shoppers are out getting snacks and food.  BBQ grills are going all over the place.

Now compare that to the dour holier than thou attitude coming from false prophet Robert Thiel.  He started his postings off today with this:

Today is known as “Super Bowl Sunday” in the USA. Most years, the American football (which is not the same as the sport called soccer in the USA) contest known as the Super Bowl is the most watched television program in the USA. Between 100,000,000-200,000,000 are expected to intentionally (as opposed to perhaps seeing a news item about it) watch at least some of it today according to various reports.

Ok, that’s not so bad.  Then he dumps this holier than thou comment on people.  Remember now, God’s ONLY true Christians are now followers of Robert Thiel and who keep all the laws, rules and regulations of the supposedly original church.

Since many people in the USA have, at one time or another, made some hint of professing following Jesus, a relevant question may be:

Should Christians watch the Super Bowl?

According to the false prophet, John the Baptist spoke out against American football:

Also, notice what John the Baptist taught soldiers:
14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages. (Luke 3:14, KJV)
I could not reconcile loving my neighbor as myself and cherishing my flesh and not doing violence to any man by watching others do it in a football game. Nor the following:
9…You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:9-10, NKJV)
The Super Bowl will do harm to participants in it.  Even if played according to all of its rules, American tackle football is evil because it actually physically harms many its participants...

The false prophet then has to tell us how those unconverted inappropriate males in his Spokesmen Club IGNORED his speech against football.  These pretend Christians that ridiculed him are bottom feeders of the Church because they had also refused to listen to God’s greatest man, Herbert W Armstrong who was also ticked off at football and all competitive sports.  I remember that time in Herb’s life.  He was ticked off about everything and everyone!  Anything that people liked, he was pissed at.  Since his life was at that time a miserable failure there was no reason anyone else should have any fun.

I once gave a speech at the old WCG Spokesman’s Club opposing football and watching the then upcoming Super Bowl game. Sadly, it was not well received. While some who claim to be Christians try to justify watching American football, they should realize that the 1980 comments by Herbert Armstrong were made mainly in response to how he saw supposed Christians playing and viewing sports that, of themselves, he did not oppose.  He then took his criticisms of competitive sports to the next level, and did not just condemn the improper competitive attitudes of sports participants/fans, but the violent sports themselves.

Next the false prophet makes another personal attack against Rod Meredith and the rest of the COG leaders.  Only Continuing Church of God, who is filled with only appropriate males, and is the only group that is boldly preaching against football.

BTW, the COG that has come out since HWA’s comments with the clearest statements condemning American tackle football is the Continuing Church of God. Most others, with a USA presence, either directly or indirectly endorse it or will not condemn it (could cost them supporters and donors). But should not Philadelphian Christians condemn truly violent acts against others?

Instead of feeding the poor, clothing the homeless and being real Christians, false prophet Thiel is worried about a football game.  Spitting and snarling at those who watching does NOT represent the god the claims to follow.  All he is doing is heaping ridicule and mockery upon himself and his little personality cult.  He has become the laughingstock of the broader Church of God.  If false prophet Thiel really wants people to sit up and take notice of him and his little group then why don’t they get out there and feed the homeless and the poor?  Why don’t they work in the soup kitchen in Arroyo Grande? All false prophet Thiel is doing is making and ass of himself and the god he claims to follow.

HWA and COG Prophets Have NEVER Been Wrong!

Below is a post from Yahoo justifying the various false prophecies and outright lies that have been uttered by HWA and various evangelists over the decades.  Did you know that HWA never uttered a wrong thing in his life?  He never made a false prediction and he never taught anything that was wrong!  He was only a little off.....

Yes they may of been off in their timing, but what they taught wasn't wrong! Mr Armstrong taught that the original Apostles taught the end would be in their time.

I guess Meredith, Hoeh, Waterhouse, Blackwell, McNair were all a little off too....

Mr Armstrong also taught that if God revealed to them that it was 2,000 years away, would they of held fast to the teachings? No, they would lose that urgency that was needed to ready the Bride! They would of fallen away quicker than it did! God allowed them to think it was in their time, so they would speak and teach with fervent heat to repent and Follow God. Mr Armstrong followed suit. DOESN'T mean they taught false doctrines (any doctrine or truth that is un-biblical).

Mr Armstrong didn't preach any false doctrines or false truth! If he did, he was not God's Apostle! Do you see anywhere that Peter or Paul or any of the other original Apostles teaching "false doctrines" or "false truth"? No! Mr Armstrong didn't teach anything contrary to the Bible. God says His ministers won't! But Satan's Ministers will bring in "damnable heresies", false doctrines, and "false Truth" into the church.

The Devil's cohorts will teach contrary to the Bible! Not God's! Mr Armstrong didn't come and change what the original Apostles taught, nor did he add any. God revealed "more" understanding to what is written in the Bible, under Mr. Armstrong. God says He Restored "ALL THINGS" through Herbert W Armstrong, the end-time Elijah. Not any other man! Any one that changes what God taught (from the Bible) then though Herbert W Armstrong is a False Prophet and an Apostate! So says your Bible! Mr Armstrong taught Government! God's Government.

Read http://d5765951.u102.swhdns.com/dawson/armstrong/BA/WNSE3681.html>.

Men have taken this form of government and perverted it. (Mr Armstrong lived by this government.) What is God's Government with out love? Satan's! He has the same structure as God's, but it is void of Agape Love. God's way is "give". Satan's way is "Get"! God re-established this government under Mr Armstrong. Yes, it took him some time to be fully revealed this knowledge. But when it was revealed, it was established forevermore.
Did you know that whatever HWA said here on earth was "bound in heaven?"

Once it was established and Mr Armstrong says "this is God's spiritual form of Government", then it is bound. (Mr. Armstrong didn't just think this up!) God revealed to him God's Form of Government, and he restored it back to the Church! Now to say he was wrong in this, is saying God's form of Government is
not right either.
Its amazing how weak and impotent God has been through the centuries that he could not keep his message on track.  What kind of a god is the god described above that is more concerned about government than with the lives of human kind?  Where is grace and love when hierarchical government is more important?
This is where most people are at and what they decide. They have to decide for themselves which tree to take from. The Tree of Life (which is the holy Spirit which helps us understand Spiritual knowledge) or the other tree, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and evil (material knowledge, which is not wrong, but without God's Spirit we would make the wrong choices).

Most people take the latter tree, and "decide for themselves" what is right or wrong, not looking to what God says and teaches for the answers. Mr Armstrong tried to get the church to see this! It still applies today!
The two trees are far more important in Armstrongism than Jesus Christ is.  Effeminate Jesus spoke too much about unconditional forgiveness and love which makes Armstrongites VERY uncomfortable!

Then this guy boldly says that HWA never set a date in his life.  The 1975 debacle was NOT because of HWA but was brought about by idiots under him. It's all THEIR fault that HWA's predictions never came to pass.

Today people don't teach how close we are to the 2nd Coming nor warn the nations of their sins. They say it is 10+ years away. Which is setting dates! Mr Armstrong NEVER set dates! Men under him took what he said about 1975 and said he said it was definite. Mr Armstrong said it was "possible", it "maybe" the date; but he didn't say it was definite. We mustn't set dates. Because he taught (from the Bible) if you set dates and it doesn't come to pass, then God DID NOT send You! So if he set a date, then he wasn't sent from God! But he didn't. I believe he was sent by God.

Any man who changes what God teaches or wrote in the Bible, will suffer the wrath of God! Many are doing so now today.

Revelation 3:11 says to "hold fast", which we should be doing, not deciding for ourselves which was Truth or which is not (but we should prove it). This is taking from the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. This is the same sin that Adam made.

Revelation 3:11 "Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown".

Prophet Thiel Again Speaks Out On Appropriate Males and Vile, Filthy, Satanic Football

Unacknowledged and ridiculed false prophet Robert Thiel has a new member letter up today to his minuscule flock.  It is amazing that he starts lying right off the bat in the very first paragraph.  I thought the leaders of the Church of God were to be above reproach?  Lying must be OK since every single leader out there has lied through their teeth over the years.

Anyway, he writes that he had 2,000,000 listeners to his program last week.  That is factually impossible.  All the unacknowledged prophet needs to do is do a Google search on how radio stations garner their statistics.

It has been an exciting week as statistics show that in our first thirty days, the Continuing Church of God was able to reach over 2,000,000 people over the radio and over 100,000 over the internet.

The largest radio stations here in Los Angeles with a listening audience from Santa Barbara to San Diego and from Santa Monica to Riverside cannot garner that many listeners to a station at one time.  They never have and never will, particularly if it is a talk radio show.  Thiel is a liar.

The ignored prophet then goes on to whine about Congress pass a debt spending bill.  Congress committed a huge error in not listing to false prophet Thiel.  He says:

One item that you may wish to read, if you have not already done so, was the article titled Congress passes debt bill.  Ignoring the prophetic warnings about increasing debt, the Congress of the USA past legislation to increase federal debt.

How dare Congress ignore prophet Thiel! How dare they!!!!!!!!!

The prophet then goes on to lay down the law about how his 2 or 3 house churches are to be holding services today.  They are required to listen to his sermon about the satanic and evil game of football.  Only inappropriate males will be watching the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Taking that into consideration, here is my suggested format for Sabbath services for February 2, 2013:
·         2-3 hymns (we are using the 1974 Bible Hymnal from the old WCG and the choral accompaniment)
·         Opening prayer by an appropriate male if present).
·         Sermonette (short 8-15 minute subject) or Bible New Prophecy YouTube video.  The newest one is Should Christians watch American football? and a different one can be watched instead, especially in lands outside the USA that do not have an issue with American football.
·         Announcements (which probably will be this Letter to the Brethren) and one hymn.
·         Sermon (which for most will be a recorded one), which for most of you will be The Falling Away Part 1: The Bible and Church History.  Some who missed it last week, may instead wish to watch the sermon What is the meaning of your life?
·         Final hymn.
·         Closing prayer by an appropriate male (if available).

The prophet also wants you to know that he now has a bank account so you can mail all the millions of dollars in tithe and offering money to.

We were able to open a bank account in the name of the Continuing Church of God late last Friday and so yes, you can send tithes and offerings to us at: Continuing Church of God, 1248 E. Grand #A, Arroyo Grande, CA 93420.

I suggest that he buy some wedges for his crooked bookcase, get a different kind of spray tan, invest in some new books for the book case and buy a proper lectern.  That might be money well spent.
