Living Church of God Treading Water Because Members Are Not Sending In Enough Money

Rod Meredith has sent out a letter to his baptized LCG members shame/blaming them about the decline in LCG's revenue stream.  LCG members have been sending in less and less over the last couple of years as they witness the complete corruption in Charlotte and the financial abuse dished out by Lil Jimmy Meredith.  Whats the point in sending in hard earned money when the Charlotte crowd spend it on redecorating offices (multiple times), taking extravagant trips and watching it being dumped in to a fraudulent "university."  Add to this the rapidly declining health of Rod Meredith and you have the perfect storm starting to gather power.

My source from LCG writes:

Trouble in paradise?
It's really unfortunate that Rod Meredith can't draw the connection between his own horrible behavior and mistreatment of the members and the decline in LCG's income. I have seldom encountered someone with such a gross lack of personal insight.
This letter is emailed to active members. It's different from the co-worker letters which are posted on their website. RCM really seems quite desperate.

Rod Meredith writes:

Greetings from Charlotte, NC! Although I will be writing the monthly co-worker letter early next week, I wanted to especially write all of you brethren directly before the Passover. As Passover approaches, it is incumbent—as we all know—to genuinely “examine” ourselves to see whether Christ is in us and we are truly walking with God (2 Corinthians 13:5). Each one of us—as we grow older—need to face the fact that thousands of our former brethren have left the church—many of whom we thought were “faithful” members. Therefore, with terrible world events beginning to unfold and a genuine “testing time” just ahead, we really need to be sure that we are fully within God’s will and actually doing what Christ would do as He lives within us.   (i.e. God's will is that you give money)
So I hope all of you will genuinely do this—and pray for one another, sincerely—and hope that each one of us draws truly close to God in the way we should before this Passover. Also, I hope all of you will try your best to “give generously” in the upcoming Holy Day offerings. As Mr. Armstrong used to tell us, God does not “expect us to give what we do not have.” But on the other hand, we should be as generous as we can as we realize the regular “daily income” is “dragging” at this time. So I ask all of you to think about this deeply and go “all out” to give as best you can so that God’s Work may move forward and not just tread water!

No matter now Meredith and crew spin doctor this, the income of the LCG has dropped sharply.  Failed personal appearance campaigns that do not bring in money-gives,  financial abuse by HQ staff, nepotism that involves unqualified family members running the family business, horrendous public humiliation of church members, and a looming lawsuit because Meredith could not keep his vengeful  mouth shut.

Could this be the start of the exodus to Davie Pack?  Dave prophesied that his god was going to strike down LCG, UCG and PCG.  Is Dave's god pulling the strings right now?

Roddy and fellow ministers, have you really EXAMINED your selves? There must be a reason if income is down.
As you said" examine yourself first.

More members must be retiring due to old age. Rod and friends should be downsizing the church accordingly. And getting rid of that stupid 'university'. They should be in 'closing shop' mode, (no non- essentials) since most members will be dead from old age within 20 years.

as the more senior members will be dropping, the younger ones probably don't have the disposable income that the senior members use to have. the economy has really been in a bad shape, who really has that kind of money?

It must really grieve them that other church groups are able to speak to peoples' souls in such a way that the churches are growing, prospering, and helping people who aspire to be on the side of good to raise their families, stamping them with Godly character, and impacting the surrounding schools and communities in positive ways.

Can someone please explain to me how they brag about having so much growth but their income is down??? Sounds fishy to me. They can't even keep their lies straight any more!

All the money in the world is not going to make them effective, and effectiveness is their primary problem. In a way, learning to do more with less may be just the lesson they need, though one doubts that even that could help.

Face it. The effectiveness of "the work" back there in the fifties and sixties is never coming back. There is no cold war and a revived Holy Roman Empire is such far out fiction that the average person of today would never fall for it. British Israelism had it its flash in the pan, but savvy people of today have the internet and can easily disprove that garbage with a few clicks. All those old tithe payers are dying off and they're not being replaced by gung ho new converts. Plus, there is no magnetic personality anywhere to spellbind audiences like Herb and especially Ted could do. What's out there now can only be described as borrrring! Even old Rod was never a spellbinder and he's for damn sure now too old and decrepit to even make his boring trips through Nave's Topical Bible the least bit interesting. Sayonara!

Yes, it is at odds with reality when a church boasts of their growth (claiming it's a sign of God's favor on them), and then does a money-grubbing dance telling them they have to sacrifice as never before because income is down.

I've seen that again and again from the Radio/WCG, on down through it's splinters.
(Could it be called, "Soften up - then squeeze"?!)

One somewhat recent example that comes to mind is when a UCG member that identified himself as a "cowboy" was posting on this blog (before he was confronted on his bullshit and then ran off with his tail between his legs).
Even though this "cowboy" claimed that the UCG was experiencing wonderful growth, the reality was that the number of UCG members were actually taking a nosedive at the time.

It's not unusual for even mainstream Christians to play this game, and to falsely claim growth in order to satisfy their minds- and their Deity's. Both are often and similarly lacking in scruples.

I've seen it before, with people claiming positively that their churches are experiencing growth, while in fact the population of their churches are experiencing a nosedive.

Income is down. Expenses are up. Sounds like the Jim Meredith management plan. If the past is indicative of the future, bankruptcy is next.

My LCG family members claim LCG is experiencing many blessings.
Is it time to call for an exorcist?

I wish someone could post some actual numbers instead of talking nosedives.
A fat and sassy LCG pastor personally told me his congregations were booming with new growth.
At the same time, I read on two blogs that LCG was withering everywhere.
Neither side could post any specifics.
