Gerald Flurry: " I made a mistake, and I don’t want to act like there was no mistake." But, it may not have been a mistake, God reveals things to me in coded ways, so I am right, probably...

The King of the Philadelphia Church of God and the true KING to the Church of God has a long track record of making things up and telling us that God told him to say it (like what Bob Thiel and Dave Pack do). For the last year Flurry has been adamant that President Donald Trump would be elected as proof of Bible prophecy being fulfilled. According to Flurry, soon after Trump would be reelected he would issue a decree to kick the Philadelphia Church of God out of the United States.

Even his rebellious son, Stephen Flurry, was backing up King Daddy on these points. Low and behold, Trump was not reelected and the PCG is still parked in Edmond Oklahoma.

Like all self-appointed Church of God prophets, even when caught in lies, they make excuses to divert attention away from the lie and toward some other direction.

King Flurry and Lord of Irish dance (the true dance of God) has this to say:

Two months ago I wrote an article titled “Why Donald Trump Will Remain America’s President.” Yet last Wednesday, Mr. Trump flew to Florida, and Joe Biden was inaugurated president.

I have received some criticism for what I wrote. Perhaps some of it is justified. I made a mistake, and I don’t want to act like there was no mistake. I understand why some people were confused or upset.

It is always "us" that are confused and never the lying prophets of the COG. We should all know by now that COG prophets NEVER lie! Never have and never will!

God NEVER allows COG prophets to make mistakes. Dumb church members assume our prophets make mistakes because we never grasp the bigger picture and fail to realize that God speaks in coded messages to our prophets.

What happened in America this past week is not the end of the story.

God prophesies in the Bible, and His prophecies are sure! With the apostles and the prophets, He usually does not show the whole picture in detail or all at once. He often speaks in a coded way, and then only later reveals that code.

God knows what He is doing, and He can certainly correct me if He needs to. [Of ourse we all know that Proeptsh in teh church are never wrong andso God ha sno need to "correct" them] He is perfect—but His servants make mistakes. Hebrews 5:2 says, in fact, that His ministers are “compassed with infirmity.” I do make mistakes, and I will make mistakes in the future. I am not trying to defend myself—but I am trying to defend God and faith in God.

The King continues:

The word “remain” is an important part of that article and its title. I apologize for creating confusion there. But as I want to show you, even with Mr. Biden now in the White House, “Why Donald Trump Will Remain America’s President” might not actually be a mistake.

I based my forecast about President Trump on two prophetic passages I have repeatedly emphasized over the past four years. I know these prophecies will be fulfilled, I am 99.9 percent sure my understanding of them is correct, and anyone can prove them!

COG prophets have a 99.99% failure rate, but I digress:

One is in Amos 7. It speaks of a time when God is preparing to measure the destruction of end-time Israel—the United States and Britain—and He says, “I will not again pass by them any more” (verse 8). This is just before severe correction on these nations if they don’t repent. They are receiving their final warning.

The COG message has ALWAYS been claiming to deliver a "final message or warning" They have cried wolf for so long that no one listens to them anymore, not even many of their own church members!

The last part of verse 9 says this is about “the house of Jeroboam.” Verse 10 says, “Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel ….” Verse 11 says, “For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die ….” Verse 12 describes a message from Jeroboam that Amaziah delivers to God’s people. Then verse 13 talks about the king’s chapel—speaking of King Jeroboam. From verse 14 on is about the Great Tribulation, the time of suffering that closes the age of man.

So the entire context of God saying I will not again pass by them any more is the time of “Jeroboam”—an end-time antitype of King Jeroboam ii of Israel, whom I have said is Donald Trump. You can read this passage and see how it looks like one flowing event. There is no hint of a gap or pause in Jeroboam’s reign. So you can see why I wrote the article as I did. It all looks like it’s Jeroboam’s timeline.

This is clearly a prophecy of the very end for this nation, and Jeroboam is in power. It has not yet been fulfilled. So based on this prophecy alone, we can be sure that God is going to give Donald Trump that office of presidency of the U.S. sooner or later. As much as the radical left wants it to be otherwise, Jeroboam is not gone from the scene.

King FLurry claims that Satan was thwarted by the election of Trump and that infuriated Satan so much that he infiltrated the minds of the Democrats and made them the people who are destroying the chosen nation.

The devil has successfully used the radical left to destroy America, the superpower of end-time Israel. But God intervened and stopped him—temporarily—by the hand of President Trump. That has enraged them all the more. They have committed multiple treasonous acts trying to ruin President Trump—ceaseless condemnation, spying, a baseless three-year criminal investigation, impeachment. These attacks were all based on grotesque lies, and they knew it! That is diabolical evil!

God sent President Trump specifically to deal with that evil and to save Israel temporarily. That work is not complete. So this too shows that he is coming back.

All of this idiotic thinking comes from the British Israelism myths that the U.S. is some long-lost tribe and deserves God's special blessing over all other peoples on the earth. No true prophet of God ever lives OUTSIDE the United States, just like there are no real Christians outside of a few "elect" in the rest of the nations.

The owner of the True Coronation Stone and King of the Church of God continues on:

There is a lot of evidence of election fraud. God certainly saw it all. Is God showing us that the election was stolen by maintaining the flow about Jeroboam in this prophecy? Perhaps He looks on Mr. Trump as still being president of the United States!

I have thought the election was stolen. It adds a lot of weight to that idea if that is how God Himself views it! I believe that is what God is saying here; other people will have to study this and decide for themselves what they think about it.

One thing is for sure: God is going to bring Mr. Trump back. It will happen at most in four years—yet I can’t conceive of it being anywhere near that length of time. Because with radicals in power, how would we get the work done? When the devil is inspiring people, God’s work is their number one target! And look how they are using their power over the media, technology companies and social media to silence anyone who disagrees with them! They are clamping down on free speech in a shocking way!

Damn those Democrats! Thwarting the work of God at every corner!

When Satan is no longer the boogeyman, COG leaders need another alternative to place the blame on. Since so many COG leaders are conservative in their beliefs and stances, it is logical that they see the "other" as their oppressors. They always need some other thing to divert attention away from them when caught in their lies.

When they get caught it is always an attack from Satan and his minions. Satan is pissed at COG leaders and the do-nothing works they have.

When Thiel, Flurry, Weinland, Weston, Kubik, and other start whining they are being censored about the complete stupidity that they say, you can be assured that it will be an attack from Satan to stop someone's amazing work.

The Dancing King ends with this:

We have to recognize that the radical left is interfering with God’s plan! You can be sure God will not let that stand. I still believe what I wrote in that article—that God is about to do some massive exposing of how the election was stolen and other crimes the left is committing. I don’t know exactly what God will do, but He could expose all this very shortly—and then what happens? If Mr. Trump had the election stolen from him, then it should flow right on with him being president. I don’t know that he will. Time will tell if I’m right or wrong.

All any Church of God member needs to remember is that if ANY Church of God self-appointed prophet utters even one wrong thing, then they are false prophets and liars.

15 "Be wary of false preachers who smile a lot, dripping with practiced sincerity. Chances are they are out to rip you off some way or other. Don't be impressed with charisma; look for character.

16 Who preachers are is the main thing, not what they say. A genuine leader will never exploit your emotions or your pocketbook. These diseased trees with their bad apples are going to be chopped down and burned. Matthew 7:15 - 20

An Historic Adam?

Towards a Theological Anthropology Supporting an Historic Adam

A Speculative Counterpoint to the Hoehist View

In many systematic theologies there is a section devoted to anthropology. This addresses the origin of mankind in which a discussion of Adam is generally prominent. This traditional theological anthropology has been historically in conflict with the science of anthropology. There is a need for an anthropology that resides harmoniously within both Biblical and scientific boundaries. There are now many such anthropologies and one particular version in contrast to the Hoehist view will be described here. Adam will be presented as a historical figure but not as the progenitor of all of mankind. The goal will be to provide a theory of human origins that is compatible with both the Biblical record and the recent findings of archaeology and genetics.

The Hoehist View

Herman Hoeh, now deceased former history professor at Ambassador College in Pasadena, advocated a traditional view of the origins of mankind. This is the view commonly ascribed to the first chapters of Genesis by the Christian Movement. In this view, Adam was a historical figure and the progenitor of all mankind. Pre-Adamic humans or near humans are not always postulated. Hoeh added the following non-traditional points:

1. The earth was populated with hominids prior to Adam. These hominids were sentient to a degree but were not as advanced as Adam and Adam’s descendants. They were racially disconnected from Adam. Hoeh referred to these hominids as “Pre-Adamic” men and included such types as Homo Neanderthalensis and Homo Erectus. Other Worldwide Church of God ministers described these early hominids as not having the potential for salvation. (Source: From a lecture given by Herman Hoeh at Ambassador College, Big Sandy)

2. God was unable to create Adam by fiat. It was instead necessary for God to experiment with various hominid forms prior to creating Adam. The bones of these prototypes populate the fossil record. Hoeh compared this to how an engineer creates models in order to arrive at the final design. (It is apparent that this view makes a statement about the limitations on God’s capabilities and proposes a form of evolution not based on natural selection but on God’s progressive and iterative engineering activities. See Note.) (Source: From a presentation given by Herman Hoeh at a ministerial conference in Pasadena.)

A Speculative Counterpoint

A plausible alternative to the traditional view and its Hoehist modifications will be presented in this in this section. This will be a narrative that describes a theory without detailed support or references. At this time, this description is only intended to expose the concepts to interested readers.

In this proposal, Adam was a historical figure. He was a hominid living sometime in the Neolithic. He was created not in a single act occurring at a point in time but by a process involving hominid evolution. The act of creating Adam in Genesis might involve the bestowing of an advanced sentience, one that could deal with spiritual concepts, on a hominid of appropriate neurological development. It was more an act of component assembly rather than whole creation at a moment in time. This type of creation scenario is compatible with the fact that Adam and his descendants, by circumstantial evidence, were of a common Y chromosome haplogroup found in the Middle East. The Jews, Canaanites, and Arabs are all of that Y chromosome haplogroup. This haplogroup is in no way an outlier and fits logically into the scientifically established hierarchy of human haplogroups and, therefore, into the genetic history of mankind.

Moreover, if Adam were created sometime around the traditional date of 4,000 BCE, the earth was already populated at that time by other humans bearing other Y chromosome haplogroups. These same haplogroups comprise the human genome today. This diversity of haplogroups prior to Adam means that Adam was not the progenitor of all branches of mankind but gave rise to a single branch of mankind (the Clans of Noah, all contemporaneous and of the same genetic haplogroup widespread in the region) then resident in the Middle East.

It is highly likely that Paul believed Adam was the progenitor of all mankind. He did not have the advantage of modern genetics to inform his writing. He wrote from the perspective of traditional belief. This in no way impeded Paul’s development of the spiritual meaning of Adam in salvation events. One may then regard the spiritual content of Paul’s writing as fixed and the biological part as varying with progressing scientific understanding and discovery.

“Adam” in Paul’s NT scenarios could be seen in many different ways, for instance, as a metaphor for mankind or as an actual historical figure. How Adam is understood influences how much “scientific” information we can extract of Paul’s accounts. In this theory, Adam should be seen in Paul’s NT scenarios as a historical figure who is the “father“ in spirit or in attitude of all mankind – with everyone down through the generations of man suffering from the same spiritual alienation from God as Adam did. Adam’s conjectured historicity is compatible with some of Paul’s language in the New Testament. He is then a genetic Middle Easterner who is the spiritual father or archetype of all mankind whose fatherhood was not biological.

This proposed model disagrees not only with the traditional model but also with the Hoehist modifications. Regarding point 1 in the previous section, while one might term men without the advanced sentience conferred on Adam as Pre-Adamic, they had the same genomic history as modern humans. They were not racially disconnected from Adam - they were our ancestors. Regarding point 2, the diversity of hominids contained in the fossil record are not an indication of God’s trial and error approach but represents Darwinian evolution, a tool used by God and likely guided by God.

Gobekli Tepe

This model envisions that at some threshold in past time, God enhanced the sentience of mankind and made mankind able to comprehend advanced spiritual and physical concepts. I am inclined to believe that this happened at the time of the events of the Garden of Eden in early Genesis. God dealt directly with Adam but this was accompanied by a miraculous, God generated watershed in intellectual development for all mankind.

There is an interesting support for this view. The archaeological site in Turkey known as Gobekli Tepe is a site with a circle of large upright t-shaped stone pillars decorated with skilled artistic renderings of animals. The mysterious feature of this site is that it was built at the end of the Epipaleolithic, just after the last ice age, in a period called the Pre-pottery Neolithic A (PPNA) at about 11,000 to 12,000 years ago. At this time people were in the hunter-gatherer stage of development and had been for millennia. This is comparable to a group of archaeologists rooting around in a 15thCentury AD midden somewhere in Western Europe and unearthing a 1957 Chevrolet.

There is no explanation for why a group of hunter-gatherers with limited technology would suddenly construct a massive megalithic site with impressive artistic renderings that required advanced planning, engineering, management, logistics, and artwork. So far no other place like it has been discovered in that time frame. The site is believed to be a temple which may indicate a sudden awareness of religion far beyond that seen among ancient hunter-gatherers. These nomadic people had not even yet developed pottery. My conjecture is that these people suddenly experienced a radical shift in their intellection and this created the anomaly of people undertaking a complex engineering project while having only the primitive culture of hunter-gatherers. This could place the creative assembly of Adam at about 12,000 years ago. Further work on this site will reveal more but at this point, it is a sign of the type of change in humanity that would fit this anthropological model.

Conclusion

This model supports the following implications:

1. Adam was used by Paul in the New Testament for spiritual understanding and not for scientific inquiry.

2. Adam, as a historical figure, is a spiritual father archetype and not the physical progenitor of mankind.

3. Adam fits into the genetic hierarchy of haplogroups that defines the human genome.

4. Most people now living are not descended from Adam physically but are his children ideologically.

5. At some point in time in the past the intellection of humankind was miraculously elevated to make spiritual understanding, salvation, advanced cultural development, and advanced technical development possible. The archaeological site Gobekli Tepe may point to this change.

This model may ultimately prove to be somehow flawed. But for now, it does reconcile science with a plausible Biblical scenario for the rise of Adamic humans at a given point in time. The traditional model of anthropology held by many in the Christian and Armstrongist communities is in conflict with scientific fact. This cannot be dismissed by mere assertion of opinion and must be addressed. This proposal illustrates the type of work based in theology and anthropology that must be done to create the next generation of ideas that support a harmony between science and Christianity.

Note: I do not know how long Hoeh held this view of God as a kind of Demiurge. The Doctrine of God changed substantially in the Worldwide Church of God (later to become Grace Communion International) during the post-1995 period, though not in the splinter groups maintaining traditional Armstrongism. Since Herman Hoeh was affiliated with Grace Communion International, I would expect that his view of God changed over time from the demiurgic view of god expressed in point 2 above to the orthodox Christian view of God.

Crackpot COG Prophet Predicting Late 2027 For Start Of Tribulation

The Great Bwana to Africa and 299 Caucasians (worldwide) is back today flouncing and bouncing in a new video trying to prove that by late 2027 the tribulation may begin and we kiss our asses goodbye. With his hands waving and his weak attempt to thrust his big thick Bible at us (thick Bibles always make prophets look more important), the present-day Elisha Bobiniah delivers his latest wild-eyed speculation about 2028 and beyond to 2031.

Between the flouncing and bouncing in his chair and the incessant hand waving, he delivers these cute little specualtions:

Is the USA prophesied to be destroyed by 2028?

Are there prophetic reasons to believe that the USA will not last two complete presidential terms? Yes. There is a tradition attributed to the Hebrew prophet Elijah that humanity had 6,000 years to live before being replaced by God’s Kingdom. There are scriptures, writings in the Talmud, early Christian teachings that support this. Also, even certain Hindu writings support it.

Here is a summary of ten items to consider: 1. If as the School of Elijah taught, that God inspired Elijah to state that the world as we have known it would last 6,000 years, to be followed by a thousand year sabbatical time, which Jewish tradition (Talmud, Tractate Sanhedrin [97a]) and early Christian traditions records (e.g. Irenaeus, a hearer of Polycarp. Adversus haereses, Book V, Chapter 30:4), then we are getting close to the end of that time.

2. And if, consistent with scriptures in both the Old and New Testaments, we can apply the concept that a thousand years is as a day to God (Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8).

3. And if, as generally understood in the Church of God that Jesus was killed and resurrected no later than the Spring of 31 A.D. on Passover.

4. And if we can presume that the “last days” of a 7,000 year prophetic week began AFTER the middle day (day 4), then the last days prior to the “sabbatical” time, which some would refer to as the millennial Kingdom of God would last two thousand years.

5. And if when Peter referred to being in the last days (Acts 2:17-18) and since Hebrews 1:1-12 teaches that “God … has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.”

6. Then adding 2,000 years to a period of time leads to the end of the 6,000 years no later than 2031 (and it could be earlier than that).

7. Since the Great Tribulation is expected to start 3 1/2 years prior to that (cf. Revelation 12:14; 13:5) subtracting 3 1/2 years from the Spring of 2031 would be late in 2027.

8. Understand that the U.S.A. is prophesied to be taken over near the rise of the Beast and start of the Great Tribulation (cf. Daniel 11:39; Jeremiah 30:7; Matthew 24:21-22).

9. Therefore, since the end of two full U.S.A. presidential terms would end in January of 2029, these prophetic understandings point to the end of the U.S.A. prior to two full presidential terms.

10. This is also consistent with certain Hindu and Roman Catholic prophetic writings as well. This video gives more details and quotes which point to the destruction of the United States of America by 2028.
