It's another sunny day in California and the tubes of butthurt ointment are flying off the shelves in the Grover Beach/Arroyo Grande area.
The Great Bwana Bob Mzungu does not like the fact that we mock his narcissistic arrogance when he claims that most COG folk are too stupid to know when they are to flee to Petra/Pella or where ever Bob's highly esteemed group will be heading for 3 1/2 years of abject misery.
He writes:
Most Christians Will Not Flee
For posting about matters related to the Maui fires and fleeing–and in which I warned that many would scoff (see AP: At least 55 people died on Maui. Residents had little warning before wildfires overtook a town)–we were mocked by an anti-Church of God website.
Now, mocking from scoffers there happens frequently, but is consistent with the following warning from the Apostle Peter:3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:3-9)
Anyway, not to be deterred by critics, after we were mocked for teachings, in another Maui related post (see VOA: Questions Remain About Maui’s Warning System; COGwriter: Discounted Scriptures Give Clues Why Most Christians Will Not Heed the Coming Decree to Flee), I had the following:
Why weren't Maui residents warned about the fire sooner? https://t.co/7DjgomnAIG
