Dave Pack: I am this "burning shining light" that Christ described!

From an RCG source:

John the Baptist--background player, Elijah--ran some small colleges but Dave Pack, he is the burning shining light!

If you want to know how Dave sees himself, the following quote from 293 sums it up well. John the Baptist (Mat 11:11) even though he was the greatest messenger even born, pales in comparison to Dave’s splendor, a shining light who Christ Himself commends.

“John, the Baptist stayed in the background his whole life, about 30 years, until God showed him. The ancient Elijah was sort of up in Tishbe running some colleges, and the modern one is not thought of as anybody special... and of course he isn't special but I'm trying to explain...Until he just showed up, "Bang!" There he was. And EVERYBODY went to see him because he was this "burning, shining light" that Christ described!”

RCG: God’s Latest Revelations to RCG, were already revealed...2 years ago….

From an RCG source:

God’s Latest Revelations to RCG, were already revealed...2 years ago….

So while members in RCG are still waiting for Christ to return, there has been another upset in their prophetic picture. Dave after claiming the “Mystery of God” had been revealed and that there were no more messages, starts ANOTHER message with this:

“Now I wondered last week, if I should have closed with something like this, "If anything is yet to be explained, I reserve the right to come back and do this or correct a point or two when the series ended." But nothing, nothing, a move from what we learned there, there were nothing changed. Then something Titanic truly was added and I then knew one more message was needed.”

In general, Dave's latest prophetic messages show that he (Dave) is actually "a messenger" (about to be Elijah, even though he has already declared himself Elijah two other times, he rescinded those claims) preparing the way before the Father, (not Jesus Christ) who will come and setup a kingdom. Many of those who have left Restored (and Armstrongism) will be maimed, beaten, eyes gouged out by the "man of sin" and then some (many?) will be consumed in fire by the Father at the end of this period. This will all be proceeded by a "cloud of darkness" that will cover the whole earth and signal to the True Church that all this is about to happen.

Dave's "Gateway Prophecy" of last year, is essentially in shambles, since he taught Christ was supposed to return last year as Dave had prepared the way for Christ. Since Christ hasn't returned, Dave now understands that it's actually the Father, who is returning. That's why nothing happened last year (or any of the other times). However, now that it's being taught properly "the way is prepared."

While it’s unclear, it also seems like the 1,335 prediction from earlier in 2021 will be abandoned also, even though it was ironclad revelation from God. Time will tell.

For those of you who haven't followed Dave's ever changing predictions, he began claiming that the Father came first in June of 2019. In fact at the beginning of June, he predicted the Father would come as a "thief in the night," on Sabbath. Then, when Christ didn't show up Sabbath, he claimed Christ would be back Pentecost.

The morning of Pentecost, when Christ still wasn't there, he rushed out another message stating: "I want to go on the record and say that I knew nothing would happen today (Pentecost)...and I could tell that last night....Now that I know the FATHER IS COMING, that changes everything!" Then around 2 months later at the beginning of August 2019, it was decided the Father wasn't coming first (even though this was revealed to him by God) Christ is actually coming first again. Then at the end of August, after the picture was rearranged again, Dave declared the "Mystery of God has been revealed!"

Now, 2 years later, he is literally making the same claim again! Using the same verses. And the same reasoning. With the same ironclad logic. With God's authority. You really can't make this stuff up (but wish you could).

It’s hard to believe Dave keeps saying this despite it being unbiblical and other cult leaders using the same logic to support their peculiar teachings but he does: “The Bible is an "enigmatic book," but when God guides us to see things, then it's like, "Wow, how did we never see that? And now you can't see anything else?" It's so clear.!” I wouldn’t trust his track record of “clearly reading” the Bible.

The drama of an ever shifting prophetic picture has already played out in RCG, literally. The same points Dave uses today, he used years ago. Unfortunately, most don't remember, (or try not to remember) that all of this material was already revealed. Dave already “revealed the mystery” and already ended the series.

I am curious why the God of the universe would reveal not only false timing to His chief apostle but also juggle around the entire prophetic picture on a regular basis to "reset the clock."

David C Pack RCG "JAMES PASTOR- ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST!"

"RCG is the only extension of the one Church Christ built." Best joke of the day!

Poor Bob Thiel, the little guy just cannot get ahead with anything in the church.  All of those claims that he is the only COG doing the work now flies out the window.

There is not one single COG out there that is an "extension" of the "one Church Christ built. I hate to burst his bubble, but Jesus did not build a church. It was his followers that did that. If Jesus came back today he would be appalled at the Churches of God pretending to be authentic Christianity. He would be even more appalled at the state of disarray in the church. With somewhere between 400 - 700 different groups that have split off since Herbert Armstrong founded the church, the church is a moral cesspool of illegitimate leaders, corrupt ministers, and money-grubbing opportunists.

If Herbert Armstrong was alive today he would have kicked Dave's ass to the curb so fast that Dave's head would be spinning. Everything Dave preaches is against everything HWA taught, though Dave claims that God is personally delivering to him the things that He could not deliver to HWA. That's a load of bullshit. God is no more speaking to or through Dave Pack than he is through Bob Thiel, Ron Weinland, or Gerald Flurry.

Dave Pack: It All Comes Down to “Common” and "if people just "give up everything" they're going to "make it." "

...and then, you too shall be saved FIRST!

From an RCG source:

It All Comes Down to “Common”

“We're a church, unlike any others, who "sold all" and "gave it all up," others don't. That's the single chief reason we're "going first," because people who will do that, are going to do the other things God says. Not because He says "give me your money and I don't care what you do." People who will do that, all the warnings about love of money, your life doesn't consist of the abundance of things you possess, beware of covetousness, all those warnings, if people just "give up everything" they're going to "make it." Now, some can do that, and then fall backward and hopefully God can fit them in "second," if you will. We'll see how all of that works.”

Comment: While money can be the root of all evil, there are many examples of biblical figures using money properly. There are many things that Christians are required to do, but “selling all” and giving it to your church hierarchy is not in the Bible. There is hope though, even if you gave everything to Dave, but still decided he is a false prophet, maybe god can still fit you in second, so that’s good news!

People In Restored Church of God Need To Hear From Us Former Members

From a comment in a previous post:

Sure wasn't any of that when I was giving on a monthly basis:

- First Tithe
- Tithe of Tithe
- Leftover Second Tithe
- Third Tithe
- Offerings
- Volunteering on the campus on Sunday landscaping
- Working Mon-Fri doing everything on top of my actual job
- Setting up and breaking down the halls multiple times on Saturday, opening doors   for people who never could say hi, bringing in food, vacuuming, etc.
- Fundraising Money
- I was paying on top of everything to attend Ambassador Center
- I dressed the part
- Never stepped out of line
- Said yes
- Shoveled for others and never had time to shovel for myself
- It goes on and on

But as soon as I cut RCG off and stop being a cash cow for them and free labor in many cases, I became all these things.

I sacrificed a lot, gave up my own path for a cause I believed in, and quietly like many others who needed something to look too, I gave RCG the best of me in all areas, and yet that was simply not worthy.

People who are in the RCG need to hear us, former members, when we say: "Why are you being faithful to a place and person who won't be faithful to you once you are no longer giving them $$$$$$$$$$$$ and free labor"?

I have sat at HQ before Dave Pack and heard him in real-time completely assassinate the character of HQ ministers/employees who would leave. A lot of these never made it onto the tapes/cd or online files because they were cut.

But I truly sat there as Pack would spit and rage over ministers and employees who would leave and hear him divulge details of their sins. He would never directly say but infer and when David Pack infers you can most certainly use enough common sense to know who and what he is talking about.

Over time I felt two things: 1. I cannot safely counsel with HQ ministers and 2. Something had to be wrong if every time a minister or employee left, Pack thought it necessary to go to great lengths to assassinate their character. Something didn't sit right with me about that and I just wanted to hear the other side.

It's not surprising when you hear it. You sort of expected it. It certainly is disappointed. Because you feel like you wasted time.

RCG members are conditioned to believe that any kind of questioning internally or externally = loss of salvation.

This is clearly evidenced in his recent sermon where he states that those who believe they have made it to 1335 are locked in, and settled.

David Pack has proven himself to be a false prophet and not one minister has enough balls to stand up at the pulpit and give a refresher on what a false prophet looks like.

You shall know them by their fruits is in the context of false prophets, remember that! Matthew 7:15–18

Testing the spirits is in the context of false prophets. 1 John 4:1

David's prophecy is from his own will, and he has a need to be right, to prove himself. 2 Peter 1:20–21

“I did not send David Pack, yet he ran; I did not speak to him, yet he prophesied".

Jeremiah 14:14
Zechariah 10:2
Jeremiah 23:16
Jeremiah 23:21
Micah 3:11
2 Peter 2:1–3
Matthew 7:15–18

The NT has a lot to say about false teachings and false prophets and yet there is no actual prophet in the new testament, that office isn't seen until two witnesses come later on. But why is that?

Restored Church of God: Edward Winkfield III

Edward Winkfield III

From an RCG source

Bradford Schleifer is not the only man holding apostle Dave's signet. Edward Winkfield has been successfully climbing the ranks of RCG Headquarters' leadership for over a decade. With so many having left, Ed's political savvy has allowed him to slip into influential roles.

Word on the RCG street is that he is contributing to the darkness of RCG. He is also strengthening Dave's death-like grip on brethren's minds with messages enforcing Dave's way, not God's.

History is revealing that the most political are the the ones staying and thriving in David C. Pack's cesspool cult.

It's time to share our collective experience of the key people surrounding and giving power to David C. Pack.

What would you say to somebody who has served Dave for over 10 years? Who has witnessed the resignation of scores of HQ employees and ministers? Who, when Dave Pack has become truly delusional and dangerous, has doubled down and held up the charade?

Share your feelings below. Perhaps we can help him...

David C Pack's Words Come Back To Haunt Him

From a reader:

More highlights from David Passover Christ's Is 'That Prophet' Alive Today?

Page 80:
When such suddenly-elevated leaders give themselves over to urges of “new understanding,” they are actually completing the cycle of “falling into the condemnation of the devil.” Too unskilled in the scriptures (particularly passages about prophecy) to resist the “deeper insights” they feel are coming to them, they wind up yielding to demonic whisperings in their ears. As these men become conduits for fallen spirits, they pour out pure garbage on their followers.

The result is that they destroy far more people than just themselves—and in the end they do always destroy themselves! I have seen it all too often, with name after name—past and present—coming to mind as I write this.

Page 46:
Saul was vexed, and often outright possessed, by a demon. The unwitting and fearful (which was apparently almost everybody in Israel at the time) continued to follow him anyway simply because he was “the king”—and this led them to eventually conclude that he was “among the prophets.” Fear gripped the majority—while only a few hundred people chose to follow David until Saul died! The lesson is that despite the fact that Saul had become a crazy demoniac, most of his subjects continued with him anyway!

This account should truly sober you! It is a characteristic of false prophets and demoniacs to bellow, rage, belittle and attack other people—sometimes relentlessly—to elevate themselves. Apparently, Saul also had a particularly murderous spirit, which repeatedly tried to kill David, or have him killed. Saul became abusive. Yet, few had the courage to stand against him, because he was “the king.” Over time, Saul became a “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” One moment, he could be warm, friendly, charming, and David’s best friend, and seconds later a raging murderer seeking to kill David!

Be careful if what is being described is a pattern visible in your leader. It is not of God.

Page 48:
…within the understanding that demons are actually the ones inspiring a false prophet, it is God who has sent one or more of these spirits to fulfill His purpose, which can also be to present a test to God’s people regarding whether or not they will follow those He has not sent.

If a prophet is sent by God, every one of his prophecies will always be perfectly accurate—no exceptions! He would not merely be close to the timing and truth of events “foretold.” He would always be completely correct, if God was sending a warning through him. Never forget this, because God is always right!

David C. Pack in Prophecy: “Foretold” in 1977 by Marion McNair

David C. Pack in Prophecy

“Foretold” in 1977!

Excerpts from Marion McNair

THE FLIMFLAM EVANGELIST-SPIRIT OF ELMER GANTRY

Each new generation of religious awakening spawns its own hybrid variety of the flimflam man–the Elmer Gantry of the pulpit. The gullible eagerly frequents the medicine show, the rainmaker, the healer, the prophet, one who promises the fountain of youth, the mystic elixir of life or ultimate knowledge of the Divine.

Each flim-flammer will seek his own following, shunning those who question the authenticity of his supposedly divine formula. Those men must be called on to account for the slightest failure of their heavenly claims and left desolate with their own hocus-pocus. Without the blessing of the widow's mite their well pressed garments will become rumpled and their fancy potions appear as ineffectual as they really are.

But how can the youth, the non-initiate, the novice detect and avoid the flim-flam religious practitioner? It is not as difficult as one might think. There are, basically, three things to watch.

IMMINENCY OF CHRIST'S RETURN-BEWARE!

The first to be wary of is the man who predicts the imminency of the literal return of Jesus Christ. Christ warned, “Ye know not the day nor the hour wherein the Son of Man cometh” (Matt. 25:13). Christ and all the major apostolic authors warned that Christ's return would be as unexpected as the appearance of a thief in the darkness of night (Luke 12:39, I Thes. 5:2, II Pet. 3:10, Rev. 3:6; 16:15).

Heaven guards that event with such secrecy that neither the angels nor even Christ Himself knows the time of its final fulfillment. God the Father has reserved that knowledge to Himself–alone! “. . . of that day and hour knoweth no man, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only,” said Christ (Matt. 25:36),

Even though Christ's literal return will come unexpectedly, it need not catch the child of God unaware. Those who are spiritually prepared will not be startled by Christ's return–even if it comes while he is sleeping in the wee hours of the morning. The time or imminency of Christ's return is something about which one just need not be frightened if he is living a Godly life (II Thess. 5:4).

A mighty temptation rests on every minister and layman–a temptation to dabble in the prophetic date of Christ's return. But every minister or layman who has, or ever will do so, is destined to sail straight into the reef of prophetic disaster.

Why then do ministers do it? It is a very easy way to get people stirred up to the point where they will generously support a work with their financial means. In some cases, hundreds of thousands and millions will be donated by a single individual to support this kind of scare-tactic preaching–something which Christ warned should not be done. He said, “ . . . many shall come in my name saying I am (of) Christ; and The time (of Christ's return) draweth near . . .” (Luke 21:8). What then should one's reaction be when self-styled prophets come proclaiming that Christ's Second Coming is just around the corner? Christ said, “ . . . go not after them . . .” (Luke 21:8).

There is no truth so well documented and yet so widely abused by self-styled prophets. Christ labeled it a forbidden area and specifically warned, “ . . . there shall arise . . . false prophets . . . (Matt. 24:23-24).

Ministers who indulge in this forbidden trickery will invariably construct an elaborate prophetic scheme and eventually become purveyors of dooms-day threats–in many cases directing the venom of their strikes against the sanctity of other Christian faiths.

Such men, after misappropriating millions of widows mites become the victims of their own schemes as the scripture of Deuteronomy 18:22 is fulfilled upon them,
“When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously; thou shalt, not be afraid of him.”

SELF-STYLED PROPHET-BEWARE!

The second thing to watch in detecting the Elmer Gantry flimflam type has already been referenced–the self-styled prophet. As his prophetic structure grows it will become increasingly necessary that he be looked upon as having a higher station than the ordinary minister of Christ. Eventually his decisions will be equated with a “Thus saith the Lord.” Those of such esteem will gradually assume the position of the sale keeper, regulator and interpreter of God's Holy Word. They will then exercise the freedom to add to and detract from the Scriptures.

What does God say about such as this? “If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: and if any man shall take away from the words of the book . . . God shall take away his part out of the book of life. . .” (Rev. 22:18-19).

While this scripture pertains primarily to the book of Revelation, the same holds true for the entire Bible At the time of his death, the writer of Revelation, the Apostle John, had compiled and canonized the Scriptures as we have them today. He wrote the above quote. There is no room for special revelation when it comes to Truth. “Grace and truth came (not is coming or will come–but CAME) by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17). Paul made it clear, while writing to the Hebrews, “. . . (God) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son . . .” (Heb. 1:2), whose words are recorded in the Bible.

Beware of the self-styled prophet who uses double meaning phrases such as, “God has revealed to me,” If you believe your Bible, you know God is not now giving direct revelation to men. Beware of the man who claims otherwise.

THE WHOLE TRUTH SYNDROME

Thirdly, beware of the organization which thinks or teaches that they are the only ones who have “The Truth.” Further examination will reveal that they teach salvation is generally possible through their closed society alone. They subtly infer that only they hold the key to the Golden Gate of God's Heavenly Kingdom. Hundreds of years–perhaps eighteen hundred years have gone by without the gospel having been preached–according to them. Souls for centuries, have been doomed to their graves without the saving grace of the Gospel of Christ–according to their teaching. Beware of those who supposedly have a monopoly on heavenly things.

….

Beware of the modern space-age flimflam Elmer Gantry as he may some day peer through your space-scope. Keep your hand on your hip because he is going to reach for your wallet.

If he uses your offerings for any project other than Christ's commission of preaching His Gospel, you haven't donated to the real cause of Christ. You, my friend, have experienced a Religious Rip-Off!

If he uses your offerings for any project other than Christ's commission of preaching His Gospel, you haven't donated to the real cause of Christ. You, my friend, have experienced a Religious Rip-Off!
