Just when you think you've heard it all, along comes Samuel Kitchen telling us how significant California and Pasadena are to the amazing work of God in these perilous end times. He almost, ALMOST, makes Bob Thiel seem normal!
It is pretty interesting that the so-called work of God settled in a state named after a mythological pagan figure who was black and female.
California means: High Hill, and most likely came from the Arabic word khalifa which means ruler or leader.
Pasadena means: “Crown of the Valley” and “Key of the Valley,”
In Pasadena, California we read how the Worldwide Church of God was established.
In Malachi 3:16-18, we read
Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
Zechariah 9:16 reads
And the Lord their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land.

So when we read Isaiah 2:2-3, what does God say?

This is talking about the HOUSE OF GOD, THE SPIRITUAL TEMPLE in which Jesus Christ comes to(Malachi 3:1-2), the establishing of the Worldwide Church of God in the Philadelphia era, all the way to the time of Christ's return in Jerusalem!

Thousands of people in the Armstrong splinters STILL think HWA was the man? Christ's apostle? Restoring original truth?? Zounds! It may be this idol in the minds of many is what is brought to nothing by what Jesus says at His coming even though he has been dead 38 years - 2Thess 2:8. Check the Greek and several translations of this verse. For example, "destroy"-KJV could be "to render entirely idle". One translation has the "the spirit of his mouth" as by "what He says".

Actually, Herbie moved south because some of the Oregon pillars had learned of his antics with Dorothy, and others had rejected his nutty prophetic proclamations, which were proven false with the defeat of Hitler and Mussolini in WWII.
If he were truly interested in interpreting the history of Pasadena, he should at least Google Jack Parsons. There was some pretty dark stuff going on in the Arroyo and in certain neighborhoods up and down Orange Grove. One wonders if HWA might have been subject to at least some subliminal influences.
Kitchen missed a great opportunity to liken his last name as "a place to prepare food". He certainly could have made much of that since it is his family that is falsely so thought to be feeding the flock. One can also prepare simply terrible food from the Kitchen as well.
Dave Pack obsesses on his own name to advantage, foolish as it is. He is Dave C Passover, which is what "Pack" means evidently. Dave Pack has even noted that he sees his name, David, repeatedly in the OT and takes note of that too.
