It is absolutely amazing the number of people that LCG's Tomorrow's World presentation is attracting. There is no other Church of God that is able to attract potential tithe payers like LCG does!
They recently held 5 presentations in the following cities: Ft Lauderdale, Dothan, and La Porte. With a combined population of 269,912 (2019 census), the amazing presentations garnered 24 guests!
591 Tomorrow’s World Presentations Guests So Far This Year
While Feast preparation is turning the last lap, we have also been completing some follow-up Tomorrow’s World presentations recently. In the last couple of weeks, five events were held in the cities of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Dothan, Alabama; and La Porte, Indiana, with a total of 24 guests (18 repeat guests and six new guests). That brings our year-to-date total to 591 guests attending 54 TWPs in 2021. Thank you for your prayers for these exciting events and the guests who are learning about the Truth and coming back for more. Your continued prayers would be much appreciated, so that God would open even more doors for us to reach many more!

If a tree falls in the middle of the forest and nobody hears it, did it make sound?
Seriously, we live in times when one person can glean more than 6 followers through his or her personal evangelism on the internet. You Tube is littered with video presentations that have less low numbers of hits. I remember back when the hit counters were in place for each article on the Painful Truth website. I was filled in those days with missionary zeal to get the truth about Armstrongism out there. If my articles didn't have 200 hits within a couple weeks, I felt as if I had failed, and strove to do better and to captivate more readers with the next article. Even then, I realized that even my biggest numbers were still relatively small.
591 in a year is definitely a failing number for an ACOG, and pretending that that is a blessing and large number, proof of backing from God, is absurd and delusional.
Whilst all of this is very funny of course, it begs the question what was wrong with the world when thousands of first timers of all age groups would show up per city when wcg was campaigning.

The churches of diminishing returns.
Armstrongism in a nutshell.
You clearly must have been born after the War to not understand why.
The city of Ft. Lauderdale, FL has a population of 182,760.
Ft. Lauderdale is adjacent to Hollywood, with a population of 153,067; Pompano Beach, with a population of 112,056; and Davie, with a population of 105,691.
Ft. Lauderdale is in Broward County, which has a population of 1,944,375.
Ft. Lauderdale is part of the Miami Metropolitan Statistical Area, which has a population of 6,173,008.
The city of Ft. Lauderdale, its neighboring cities, and Broward County, are geographically small locations with most of the population clustered closely together, along the ocean front.
The entire Miami MSA is one of the most densely packed urban areas within the country – it also has excellent public transportation. Therefore, with minimal travel time, the entire population of over six million people could have made it to the LCG Tomorrow’s World Presentation.
If all 24 guests came to the Ft. Lauderdale presentation, that is an embarrassingly low turn-out, given the size of the population. This is proof that the LCG is not doing a powerful work, or hardly any work at all.
The LCG is pathetic, not powerful.
Christ rebuked several cities for not repenting. Was His preaching to these a failure? God is a God of opportunity, and it's on the head of those who do not act on the opportunity.
Yes I was born after the Biden pull out!

"White for Harvest"?? , sounds racist to me!
Not a farmer then Tonto.
There is a paradox here. Two different ideals are in tension. Splinterists seem to want more people in their congregations and at the same time seem to want fewer. The tension is between an increase in resources and a desire for exclusivism. The former has to do with the tithe-base and gaining notoriety. The latter is the "little flock" mentality.
My guess is that you could talk to a Spinterist minister and he would be very much in favor of an expanding tithe base. Maybe even if some famous people would respond to the missionary work - that would be nice. (I know, I know, Splinterdom doesn't do missionary work. But let's be honest.) But I would also guess that members of the congregation are really not eager about seeing their little trove of Gnostic knowledge spread among the common people. A radical influx of good people might drastically alter their chances of a choice position reporting directly to HWA in the Kingdom. They favor a little flock where a few get everything.
As these two opposing views work against eachother the friction must create some polemics - probably covertly. I just remember a friend who in the early days of the Global Church of God was proud to be one of only seven members in the State of Nebraska. Not everyone is unhappy about only 24 responses. The compromise position between these expansionist and non-expansionist views is an increase in co-workers only. That way there is an expanding tithe base and no dilution of rewards for the little flock. No study will ever be done to test the validity of this hypothesis but one might detect some evidence from just sitting in a Splinterist congregation.

God post NEO. My suspicion is that many members, including ministers, secretly believe that they can enter the kingdom through a back door. Come judgment day, they will tell God "if you want a family, you will have to lower your standards and allow us unrepented members into your kingdom. Plus we want HWA as our king rather than Christ." That is, a repetition of Israel asking Samuel for a human king.
I cannot see any other explanation for the intense hostility shown to good people in the splinters.
Neo: I agree with your premise that many COGlodytes are snobs who want to be among the few who are chosen, so that they are vindicated for being ridiculed and suffering so much. Nevertheless, the reality is they are more likely to be compassionately pitied by those around them and have caused their own torment, mostly of the internal kind.
As for wanting rewards and accolades in their kingdom, that does appeal to many, while others just want to do what they feel pleases God.
However, the LCG leadership has chosen the official deception to be "We are doing a powerful work". Again, the leadership is out of step with the membership; so more drama will ensue.
Unless, the membership is tripped up into reality and sees that the leadership is overtly practicing deception.

"Christ rebuked several cities for not repenting. Was His preaching to these a failure?"
The work of Jesus has always been powerful, precise, and productive.
No one can come to Jesus unless called by God.
God calls thousands of people to come to Jesus in the areas LCG tried to reach with their pathetic presentations.
No one is coming to these LCG presentations because God is not calling them to presentations that have nothing really to do with Jesus.
I'm guessing that at these presentations, the LCG dishes plenty about the need to keep the defunct old covenant while never mentioning salvation by grace alone, redemption, and justification - and no mention of Jesus, the Savior who does it all.

But Nineveh repented even though they were not called. And why did Christ rebuke unrepented cities if only called people can repent? In the OT, God destroyed or punished many nations. Why do so if they were incapable of repenting? And why water baptism if only the called can repent? Why did John the Baptist tell the Pharisee's to bring fruits worthy of repentance if only the called can repent?
Your point of view does not compute.

Excellent points.
The is no paradox for the church members NEO. That comes across as ministry talk.
COGlodytes have never been known for the understanding of Holy Scripture, nor is their church doing a powerful work in educating them.
Indoctrinating and brainwashing them yes - educating them, no.

A long post, but what's your point?
Nck,
Are you talking about in 1973 or so when he was having an affair with a married woman?
Their SO CALLED Presentations are nothing more than glorified SALES PITCHES to BRAINWASH and attract new potential tithe payers!! As more and more people wake up out of their slumber and leave; they require NEW recruits to fill the vacuum. They wouldn’t want to get a REAL job which required them to actually work!! How else could Doug Winnail fly around the world on his endless trips? Perhaps they will invent a Tithe of the Tithe of the Tithe or a even FOURTH Tithe.
