Reclaiming Your-Self After Religious Tyranny

Desiderata

    Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
    and remember what peace there may be in silence.
    As far as possible without surrender
    be on good terms with all persons.
    Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
    and listen to others,
    even the dull and the ignorant;
    they too have their story.

    Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
    they are vexations to the spirit.
    If you compare yourself with others,
    you may become vain and bitter;
    for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

    Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
    Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
    it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
    Exercise caution in your business affairs;
    for the world is full of trickery.
    But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
    many persons strive for high ideals;
    and everywhere life is full of heroism.

    Be yourself.
    Especially, do not feign affection.
    Neither be cynical about love;
    for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
    it is as perennial as the grass.

    Take kindly the counsel of the years,
    gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
    Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
    But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
    Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
    Beyond a wholesome discipline,
    be gentle with yourself.

    You are a child of the universe,
    no less than the trees and the stars;
    you have a right to be here.
    And whether or not it is clear to you,
    no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

    Therefore be at peace with God,
    whatever you conceive Him to be,
    and whatever your labors and aspirations,
    in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

    With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
    it is still a beautiful world.
    Be cheerful.
    Strive to be happy.

The Church of God: The People Who Love Listening to Lies?

Can there be a better description of the men pictured above than the following verses from Ezekiel 13?

Sadly, those in the various COG's blindly follow these men as if God speaks directly though them. The church has been well trained to listen to their lies as god inspired. It loved listening to the endless speculations of Gerald Waterhouse and John Ritenbaugh before Herbert Armstrong died. Then as the church miscarried hundreds of splinter groups, new prophets and Elijah's stepped in with even more wildly fantastical utterances. Why do the people of the church love listening to their lies?

People Who Love Listening to Lies

Ezekiel 13 1-2 God’s Message came to me: “Son of man, preach against the prophets of Israel who are making things up out of their own heads and calling it ‘prophesying.’
2-6 “Preach to them the real thing. Tell them, ‘Listen to God’s Message!’ God, the Master, pronounces doom on the empty-headed prophets who do their own thing and know nothing of what’s going on! Your prophets, [Church of God], are like jackals scavenging through the ruins. They haven’t lifted a finger to repair the defenses of the city and have risked nothing to help Israel stand on God’s Day of Judgment. All they do is fantasize comforting illusions and preach lying sermons. They say ‘God says . . .’ when God hasn’t so much as breathed in their direction. And yet they stand around thinking that something they said is going to happen.
7-9 “Haven’t you fantasized sheer nonsense? Aren’t your sermons tissues of lies, saying ‘God says . . .’ when I’ve done nothing of the kind? Therefore—and this is the Message of God, the Master, remember—I’m dead set against prophets who substitute illusions for visions and use sermons to tell lies. I’m going to ban them from the council of my people, remove them from membership in Israel, and outlaw them from the land of Israel. Then you’ll realize that I am God, the Master.

95% of COG Members Will Die A Bloody Death At The Hands Of A Murderous Whore

What is the point of even trying any more when Church of God prophets utter things like what is below:
Notice how God’s Church is intertwined with the beast. We are its number one enemy. And those who are Laodicean—95 percent of God’s people today—will not be protected by God. They are going to die a bloody death and finally see—the hard way—just how deadly this murderous whore is. And hopefully they will believe God then and never forsake Him again.
This was not said by Dave Pack, because he still believes that COG members will soon be flocking to his utopian campus where Jesus is returning to for a final push.  It was not even said by the perpetually bitter Elijah man/child of Arroyo Grande who believes he is the ultimate prophet of the end times.  This was said by the real Elijah himself, Gerald Flurry. The one who proceeded all the other present day imposters and is the "one to come" mentioned in Revelation 17:10.

It is all part of the great cosmic nightmare that Flurry's god has preordained since before the foundation of the world.

Consider what Revelation 17:10 reveals about God’s thinking: He had to know that Mr. Armstrong would come on the scene. God also knew “that prophet” would come on the scene when the seventh head of this beast would rise—“the other is not yet come.” Really, if we understood this one verse while Mr. Armstrong was alive, we could have realized that he probably would not have been alive during the final resurrection of the beast!
“The other is not yet come.” That’s not a shallow statement! This is the final ring of the bell, as far as the beast is concerned. And we’re living in the days when “the other” has come! We are honored by God to be doing this Work during the time of the final head of the beast power. We can actually get out and speak for God and represent Him, showing the people of the world how to honor Him, and showing them what this prophecy means! What a mind-staggering blessing!
The Father knew all of this long before Mr. Armstrong came on the scene and “uncovered” any prophecy! Nobody ever “uncovered” this prophecy, and no one ever will! This is revealed prophecy that God the Father and Christ knew at least thousands of years ago—maybe much longer than that! God has engineered all this, and He is working it all out with detailed calculations. It takes the mind of God to work on this level!
Revelation 17:10 is one of the greatest prophecies in the Bible. Contained within this one verse is the heart of prophecy for these latter days. Just during the period when “one is,” it encapsulates the fulfillment of several other major prophecies: Matthew 17:10-11, which talks about the end-time Elijah restoring all things; Malachi 3:1, which discusses an end-time messenger preparing the world for Christ’s return; and Matthew 24:14, which describes the gospel being preached around the world. Those prophecies were at the heart of the Philadelphian era work. So much revolves around the end-time Elijah! The Trumpet
There you have it.  There can be no further argument or questioning.  Gerald Furry is the man!  The Elijah that is here, preordained from the foundations of the world to buy a fancy jet so he can fly around the world uttering his Elijah message that 95% of the COG is ignoring because they have allowed themselves to be deceived by men such as Bob Thiel, James Malm, Dave Pack, Vik Kubik, Gerald Weston and others.

LCG: Gerald Weston Says "We Must Wake Up To Our Religious Deception!"

Gerald Weston writes in the latest Tomorrow's World magazine:
Because we do not know where we come from, we have forgotten where our blessings come from. It is time to wake up and repent! Our arrogance in rejecting God will bring heartache and suffering beyond what we can imagine. Americans have forgotten, yes, even up and repent! Our arrogance in rejecting God will bring heartache and suffering beyond what we can imagine. Americans have forgotten, yes, even despisedGod and His commandments, and so have the other descendants of Israel’s twelve sons. And no matter what one’s ethnic background may be, if you live in one of these nations, you will be blessed or cursed along with the nation as a whole. We are all in it together, and unless we wake up and repent—and there is no indication that will happen—we are in for a very rough ride!
That "rough ride" has been going on for 8some years now as each year goes by with yet another utterances of doom and gloom ahead. Damnation, death and destruction are just days away.
Much of the problem we face is the result of my third point. We must wake up to religious deception!
This awakening especially applies to religious deception in the name of Christ! Some people find it offensive for anyone to criticize the beliefs of others, but not all beliefs are equal and not every belief can be true.
This sounds exactly like the Living Church of God!  They become bitter and defensive whenever anyone criticizes their beliefs and unjust policies.  Just ask any of the hundreds that they have disfellowshipped over the last couple of decades how that all worked out for them!  Right now the LCG and the rest of the COG's are one big mess of deceptive practices and teachings. Even in the COG there is no uniformity of belief.  Certainly, not all of the various COG's understandings can be true, can it?
The Bible reveals to us that there is an evil spirit directing the course of this world (Ephesians 2:2). Furthermore, the Bible tells us that this spirit being has deceived the whole world (Revelation 12:9). Do you believe this? Is it showing love to encourage people to continue living in ignorance and deception, due to our silence?
I think that "evil spirit" has zeroed in on the LCG and the other COG's. Can there be a bigger den of deception? LCG is right in claiming that it is wrong for them to encourage people to live in ignorance and deception due to the silence/rejection of Jesus.

It is time for Gerald, Lil'Jimmy, Rod and the rest of the den of deception, to let the captives free!

Biannual Reminder for Restored Church of God Members

Just prior to starting his Restored Church of God David C Pack reassured  the brethren...

 Recorded on December 12, 1998 at the onset of the Global/Living
Split, a full year and approximately five months before the Restored Church of God. The
sermon was titled: "10 Points for the Crisis". There were hundreds of copies of this tape

"I want to make a statement about...me...now, if I became deceived, I will never tell you what I'm going to tell you now...I am telling you if I go off into strange ideas, misconduct, rebellion, you name it, *(Badly failed  exegesis?  Flawed Christology?  Jesus visit to Wadsworth? All things common?) don't follow me. I want to tell you that now, because if I start doing that I'm gonna try to get you to follow me! I'm gonna come to you and tell you it doesn't apply, it doesn't mean me, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's OK to follow me because ABCD and XY and Z. Do you understand what I'm saying? Listen to me now, when I tell you don't follow me if I go off into weird ideas, or if I get off into other things that are total absolutely unscriptural conduct, because if I do I'm gonna paint it with a different face and try to get you to follow me. Do you understand what I'm saying brethren? Please remember that, because I promise you that if I become deceived, I'll forget it, and I'll want you to forget it...And I hope you'll remember it well enough to quote it right back to me... *(Will do) But I'll tell you what, I'm not going anywhere."

*(But you did)
