HORRORS: Women and Catholics Can Now Ascend to Throne of David

A great tragedy has occurred on the Throne of David and it's never ceasing legacy.  The Commonwealth nations voted to allow a first born daughter to ascend to the throne and that they can now be Catholic. This has got Prophet Thiel all hot and bothered tonight

I am surprised that Thiel do not go onto a "women reigning over men" snit, but instead starts off on one of his many anti-Catholic screeds. There are so many bogey-men that make up the Prophet's fantasies that he is no longer unique in placing blame on others.  Where would Armstrongism be if it could not place blame on someone else for all the troubles in the church and the world?

Girls equal in British throne succession
The leaders of the 16 Commonwealth countries where the Queen is head of state unanimously approved the changes at a summit in Perth, Australia.
It means a first-born daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would take precedence over younger brothers.
The ban on the monarch being married to a Roman Catholic was also lifted.

This news development of course sends Prophet Thiel into conspiracy theory mode. Visions (or nightmares) of Mother Shipton in the 1550's is looked upon as visionary truth.

There is an old Catholic prophecy that indicates that the European Great Monarch will taken over the UK and the UK is either divided into thirds or ruled by three, presumably Roman Catholic, leaders:
Mother Shipton (d. 1551) “The time will come when England shall tremble and quake…London shall be destroyed forever after . . . and then York shall be London and the Kingdom governed by three Lords appointed by a Royal Great monarch…who will set England right and drive out heresy (Culleton, R. Gerald.  The Prophets and Our Times. Nihil Obstat: L. Arvin.  Imprimatur: Philip G. Scher, Bishop of Monterey-Fresno, November 15, 1941.  Reprint 1974, TAN Books, Rockford (IL), p. 163).

And then from the Roman Catholic Priest Rossi:

Interestingly, notice what one Catholic has written about the punishment for America and Britain:
Priest G. Rossi (19th century): But boastful pride and presumption always go before a fall. With her large share of guilt, America cannot avoid her due share of punishment…If the world is not yet entirely converted to Christianity, the blame is not on the head nor in the conscience of the Catholic Church… Ah! wretched Protestantism shall have to answer for the loss of faith… English schism and heresy have squandered their treasures and abused their great temporal power, not only in persecuting-the faith in Great Britain and Ireland, but also in banishing the true religion of Jesus Christ from their vast American possessions…Their long-deserved punishment, however, is approaching from the North! (Rossi, Gaudentius. The Christian Trumpet: Or, Previsions and Predictions about Impending General Calamities, the Universal Triumph of the Church, the Coming of the Anti-Christ, the Last Judgment, and the End of the World; Divided Into Three Parts, 4th edition. Patrick Donahoe, 1875. Original from Oxford University. Digitized Sep 1, 2006, pp. 16, 255).

I find it strange that Thiel gives credence to these "prophecies" and the "Visions of Fatima" as being truthful while he has written a book ridiculing the Mayan 2012 prophecies.  I guess because the Mayans had no Christian roots, it is proven to be false, but because Catholicism does have roots in Christianity then it gains more respect.

Could it be that given the extreme hatred that Armstrongism has always had for Catholics that he pays lip service to these visions because they fit the model of thinking still prevalent in the 700 some splinter cults of Armstrongism?  When these people see those words in print they automatically know here he is going.

Armstrongism, like a lot of fundamentalist Christianity still look at the Catholic Church as the Great Whore of Babylon who murdered and tortured hundreds of thousands of TRUE Christians over the centuries.  It is the Catholic Church that will give rise to the anti-Christ who will perform miracles and wonders on the streets of Roman hoodwinking the world into taking on the Mark of the Beast (Sunday worship or one of many other speculations.)

Armstrongism has always been great at blaming others for persecution and trials, all the while failing to look inward at the immense corruption that pollutes the hearts of its present leaders. Armstrongism has a proven track record of bringing persecution and trials upon its self without any end time prophecies kicking in.

Perhaps after reading this blog Bob realizes that, like "here a little, there a little" does not mean what he thought it meant.

Scripture says that God resists the proud.

With Robert Thiel, it isn't so much resistance as it is just plain ignoring him -- ultimately, and sadly, an example we should follow.

Although...

Resistance is good (but Robert Thiel is futile).

You can all mock the Living Church of God all you want and it's loyal servants. God is not mocked though! Mr. Meredith is the only Church leader who dares speak the truth and with force. He "spares not" when he speaks on the telecast warning Americans to repent of their evilness and filth they wallow in.

It is an abomination that a Roman Catholic can potentially sit on the throne of David. By allowing this to happen the tribe of Ephraim has hardened their hearts further to God.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Too bad it's such a miniscule work that nobody knows about it or gets to hear.

I sincerely hope that these men whom you idolize actually receive God's forgiveness, although the Bible is not very kind towards false teachers, and "servants" who attempt to enrich or aggrandize themselves.

If, in the Kingdom, I happen to see HWA or RCM polishing the Pope's sandals, I will praise God that we are all there, and will speak encouraging words to them.

Well, you know, I do my part too. I keep warning Roderick Meredith to repent of his evilness and filth he wallows in. For example...

Back in 2003, I talked with the minister in the Pacific Northwest who turned in the minister who had sexual relations with 16 teenage daughters and 8 of their mothers. The minister to whom I spoke said that he reported it to the headquarters of the Worldwide Church of God in Pasadena, and added that their response was, "But he gives such good sermons" and did nothing about it.

Guess who was the Evangelist over all the United States ministry?

But it gets worse.

When Meredith formed Global, he took the offending minister with him, where the man continued his trysts. As another minister told me, "When he was talking to you at church, he was looking for another" [victim]. And so it continued until Meredith bankrupted Global and the sleaze bag went on his way to John Rittenbaugh and the Church of the Great God. (All of the above was also confirmed by a woman in the church area where this happened, with whom I was corresponding.)

As near as I can see, Roderick Meredith just doesn't exhibit one shred of the Fruit of the Spirit (as described in Scripture), but he as sure as shootin' has the works of the flesh. Not all of them, of course, since he maintains that he has never committed a MAJOR sin since he was baptized, by the which he means, he never committed physical adultery on his wife, like some of the ministers who worked for him did in at least two of the three churches where he was in charge. I guess lying doesn't count.

It would be difficult to prove that he had any shred of conversion, which is probably why God doesn't seem to have much to do with him: His prophecies have failed, he's made a mess of people's lives and he's a sleazy libeller and slanderer (witness the Manpower Papers).

Still no testimony from two or three witnesses outside the LCG who have impeccable credentials and credibility.

Now that there's genetic testing (as shown on Dr. Phil) for the so-called "Warrior Gene" [MAOA-L, DARPP-32 Varients TT or TC], Roderick Meredith should go get tested and tell us the results. If he has the "Anger Gene" it would certainly explain his behavior and the fact he won the Golden Gloves tournament as a teen.

The problem is, though, in spite of the fact that anger gives a significant evolutionary advantage through survival of the fightest, it does nothing for rendering peace to people as a minister. "Great peace have they who keep Your Law" really doesn't apply to those who use the Law as a club to overwhelm the weak and needy losers who are so pathetic they need help and counsel. In fact, it would probably render the inheritor of such defective genetics as being useless, worthless and incompetent to be any kind of Spiritual advisor.

Better Roderick Meredith keep up with his aggressive behaviors to stay at the top as alpha male. Kindness is weakness, and we sure as hell wouldn't want him to show any weakness as the successful tyrant he is.

Not true, according to Meredith's own words. In the sermon "What is Your Breaking Point", about 5 minutes in, he states that on television he cannot speak out as strongly as he would like on issues like abortion and homosexuality. Is this "spare not"? No. It is cowardice. It is cowardice that would shame Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Isaiah, and all the true servants of God. Just the behaviors you would expect of bullies.

Deep in the Robert Thiel post, he admits he was brought up Roman Catholic.

That may explain why he gives at least a little respect to those "alleged prophets."
