PCG reaches to the bottom of the cesspool to ordain new elder

Grant Turgeon

The gene pool at the Philadelphia Church of God compound, through the intermarrying of elite leadership families, exactly like the old Worldwide Church of God elite did, has produced some rather sad cases for ordination. But desperate times in the PCG call for desperate ordinations. The horror stories about this "kid" are all over private Facebook groups, just like the appalling stories of his dad featured on this blog.

Wow! Grant has gained a LOT of weight! Probably eating to mask the depression he must repress in order to continue with what he has to know is a family fraud.

A self-serving, condescending little prick is the only way I can describe Grant. He thinks his shit doesn't stink because of who his daddy is.

Mr. Sportsman has packed on the pounds! He always envisioned himself as the epitome of healthy masculinity by playing sports, though eventually spent most of his time as a referee blowing his whistle.

Good grief! Grant is the LAST person that PCG needs to be ordaining! This is all because of his dad and has nothing to do with any spiritual gifts. This is pure politics.

What else does someone like him know? He was born into the PCG, and has no real world experience. This is exactly what the PCG wants!

Indeed ," preachers sons" can be a "real ball of hell". Remember Garner Ted???

Sing along time! - Sing to the tune "Son of the Preacher Man" Dusty Springfield 1968

https://youtu.be/l1Y7qE9ypQk

Garner Ted was the preacher's son
And where his daddy preached he came along
When they gathered 'round and started talkin'
That's when Ted would take me walkin'
Out through the back yard we'd go walkin'
Then he'd look into my eyes
Lord knows, to my surprise
The only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only man who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
Yes, he was, he was, ooh, yes, he was
Being good isn't always easy
No matter how hard I try
When he started sweet-talkin' to me
He'd come and tell me "Everything is alright"
He'd kiss and tell me "Everything is alright"
Can I get away again tonight?
The only one who could ever reach me
Was the son of a preacher man
The only man who could ever teach me
Was the son of a preacher man
Yes, he was, he was, ooh, Lord knows, he was (yes, he was)

Him and his wife are slobs. Anyone else would have been chewed out during their stupid -ministerial home visits- but nooooo not the grandson of the king. Rules don’t apply to them.

I knew Grant and his sister, Paris, when they were just knee-high kids and watched them grow up. I find it amazing that given the cadre of AC students being run through the PCG's training program, they only person they could find fit to be ordained just happened to have the last name Turgeon. Actually, it's pretty funny to me now. Even funnier that the 'rules-for-thee' exception so clearly applies to Grant:

1) he was caught visiting 'dissident' websites like this (an offense worthy of suspension for the average PCG-goer)

2) he clearly isn't abiding by the healthy living principles being taught; at singles events we'd be hammered with admonitions about healthy eating, moderation, exercise, leading by example etc.

3) not once, when I was in the PCG, or thereafter, have I ever read or heard a testimonial about Grant having an attitude of humility or service, necessary attributes of a minister, according to the Bible. On the contrary, every single testimonial talks about his ego, inflated sense of self-worth and his hypocritical behaviors.

I'm sorry a long ago friend, Andy Locher, got caught up in this fraud religion and helped in the baptism of Turgeon.

What are you talking about? He is in charge of nearly every HQ department. He is one who has a lot of control and decision making especially when it comes to money and twisting how well the PCG is doing financially by comparing whatever years and months to make the most current month seem the best performing month! For example, he will compare how well December was to August or how well the last two years was compared to another random two years five years ago that were a bit worse than the current two years to hide the fact that actually it just got worse. The best thing he and other ministers do is say the income increased by a percentage which can mean anything!! It is done on purpose to hide lack of growth. You never get real figures from him who manages the accounts. His face glows with excitement when a deceased estate gets left to the church and will fight in court against the members own family to claim the money. He is nice enough to talk to but he is wrapped up and part of the problem in sucking up to the king and king-in-waiting. Very sad.

1:37,

Yes, he is definitely part of the problem. And, I'm sad that he is complicit in the abuse of the brethren. Years ago, you wouldn't have thought it.
