Does Jesus Really Care About DNA, the 12 Tribes, Banks, Or Even the Bible?

Our favorite self-appointed prophet will spend countless hours a week talking jibberish about topics that have absolutely nothing to do with Jesus Christ. Bwana Bob's topics do not even concern his African followers, who could care less about these things. When you face a day to day struggles with keeping food on your table, shelter over your head, and maintaining personal safety, these nonsense topics by their leader do not impress them. Rarely do they ever hear about Jesus Christ, the one they actually take delight in following. Why COG leaders are embarrassed about talking about Jesus has always fascinated me.

Does Jesus even care about those topics, including the Bible? The answer to that is, of course not!

These are some of the unimportant things the Great Bwana thinks is important to know for salvation:

Yes, oh mighty, tiniest false prophlet of all, Christians need to know all about daylight saving time! Boy, Jesus spoke at great length about turning the clocks back and adding stations to your stupid non bible prophecy radio station. I wonder if your jesus had the "get tomorrow's news today on k-rap 101 prophecy am radio" bumper sticker?

Bob's brain, flapping and flailing for all to see and none to watch.

One of Thiel's screeds is titled:

"Canada set to legalize euthanasia for mentally ill patients"

MY RESPONSE:
Bob should stay out of Canada at all costs!

Methinks Jesus cares about the Bible. A lot.

He quoted it in the Gospels several times, for starters.

The Blues will never die! Seems like they're on the wane sometimes like in the early 2,000s, and then along comes someone just awesome, like Samantha Fish on her little cigarbox slide guitar to breathe new life into it all! Just awesome!

I think Bob Thiel believes that by getting technical, he can breathe new life into Armstrongism. But, it's all in the presentation and making it relatable to our times now, not Bob's eclecticism or his impotent attempt at being a prophet. An elitist is exactly the wrong person to take it to the next level, because he postures as if he's above it all. You have to strike a common chord with your audience. Be on and speak on the same level. That's what grabs people by the heart strings and makes them commit. You've got to make them feel and to show them that you feel. That is what Jesus did! It's also what is totally missing in the ACOGs today.

I agree with No2

If the Living Word is living among you his words spoken are more important than codified set into print after some council in Northern Africa took place. As the Living Word dwells amongst humanity in the kingdom there is no reason to be looking back at old scriptures meant to foretell some event in the future. Just like the old covenant holy days will not be needed.

When trying to point out to Bob what he needs to fix, I usually don't know where to begin.
He plows through material in a haphazard manner, sidetracking, gesturing, jumping around, lifting up Bibles and booklets to the camera... Material is added to his website in a linear manner, as if every piece is of equal priority and importance. Well, you get the picture.
And with BI - what J.H. Allen originally presented was about the blessings on certain nations being covenant blessings, not by chance or human effort alone. HWA took that and by cherry picking prophecies turned it into a chief scaremongering recruitment tool.
Although Bob did point out that he did not see BI as racially demeaning, and grace is not based on race, he hit deniers with "if you don't believe BI then you don't believe the Bible"...

Something drives Bob. To put up three entries a day on his website. Is it the "continuing" thingy?

Imagine how his wife and son feel as he sits in the other room pounding away on his keyboard all the time. What a waste!

A bit of a digression: there is a risk of war between Russia and the USA. If it happens, it will be a major setback to HWA's credibility, since he said there would be no (major?) war between the USA and Russia. He based that on his interpretation of which modern nations are discussed in the bible (DNA). But US troops and an American general are already in Ukraine, claiming to be inspectors, but possibly preparing the way for much larger US force.

Jesus was a Jew. He could not have been the "savior" if not the son of David. Jews are all about DNA. It's an entirely tribal (genetically based) religion. If not born with the right blood you just don't cut it.

I took the liberty to look at Lost Tribes and Prophecies and one of the headings ‘Could Switzerland be descended from Gad? Is it really prepared for what is prophesied?’
It was a quiet afternoon and the weeding could wait.
Foolish lad was I.
I could take the time to point out the glaring, of which there are many, ludicrous assumptions contained within this piece but what is clear is that the gospel of Salvation in Jesus Christ is missing.
The ‘proofs, clues’ presented in support of their assumption that Gad is Switzerland are indeed weak intellectually, highly suspect and to even amateur historians, the holes are rather glaring. And far removed from the salvation that Jesus Christ openly proclaimed.
A challenge to Thiel and co……get your claims verified by reputable Universities and scholars both theological and secular before publication in future.

Now Bob, about the gospel……………………………….

Anon 752 challenged Bob to get your claims verified by reputable Universities and scholars

You know how it works - "scholars" and "universities" are considered worldly and wrong unless they support you, even if the support is a "reluctant admission".

Take DNA - Bob read a Scientific American article that questioned the validity of DNA analysis; he used this to claim that BI can't be dismissed on lack of DNA evidence. Then, if I heard him correctly, he used an old WCG article that mentioned DNA as supportive BI evidence, and didn't question it...

Does Jesus care about the Bible?

RL says yes, Anon 546 says no. Apparently God speaks to him directly!

Me? I side with RL and the apostle Paul: "All Scripture IS profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness, (because) the holy scriptures are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus", 2Tim 3:15-16.

Yes, those old pesky scriptures are still important and much needed!!!

I get your point, but it’s needlessly offensive/provocative to include the Bible. I agree that if Christ was here speaking, it would likely just be His words spoken without referencing the Bible, but we wouldn’t be here without the Bible.
