Ron Weinland Finally In Prison!

February 1st will be a date known forever in Armstrongism as the date the first COG leader was put in prison.  With luck, there will be more leaders down the line making friends with Bubba.

COG Member Says "Lets pray for our Church leaders to help us."

On those wacky Yahoo groups a person posted the following tonight. He is warning that dire famines and food shortages are immediately ahead of us and that we need to make adjustments to our lives.  He then lists things people need to be doing.

1  Lets pray for our Church leaders to help us. (Gods help)

2  The old WCG teaching of Zec 3:  taught that this was the Laodicea Church,(churches? v8)

3  Lets pray that Christ will cast Satan away, out of the church, as the days are quite evil    Zech 3:1-5.

4  This might be a difficult/dividing time of change to Godly. Pre tribulation I believe. Zec 3:7.

5  Lets pray for the them/us.

Can you imagine when times get rough what most of the splinter group leaders will be doing?  They will be expecting the lay members to feed and take care of them.  They certainly will NOT be helping lay members.  You will be expected to give tithes of the food you have to support the minister and his family.  If he loses his home you will be required to let him move in your better home and you move out.  He will take your car, eat your food and wear your clothes. Don't expect any handouts from our minsters!

Prophet Bob Thiel With New Video: Should Christians Watch Football?

Prophet Thiel waxes on about how he was not allowed to play football while in high school and other silliness.  He quotes HWA on how much he disliked the game and why he only allowed flag football at the colleges. He also knows for sure that football will NOT be allowed in the World Tomorrow/millennium.

According to prophet Thiel, Jesus, Paul and John the Baptist were ALL against the damnable game!!!!!!

Should Christians watch the sport of American tackle football?  Are other violent sports such as boxing appropriate?  What does the Bible teach?  Did early Christians watch violent sports?  What did Jesus, the Apostle Paul, and John the Baptist teach?

One good thing is that he has taken our criticisms of his flailing hands to heart.  He must have them velcroed to the desk.  You can hear him peeling them off everyone once in a while to raise up to make a point.

In the Continuing Church of God you cannot be an appropriate male if you watch football and probably will be close to committing the unpardonable sin if you watch the Super Bowl this coming weekend.  Real Christians don't watch football!  Particularly if you are an appropriate male and need to give opening and closings prayers on Saturdays!
