Here is a great little resource on hundreds of failed end time predictions throughout history. The listings are from creation to 4990 BCE and on out to 4,500,000,000 years from now. Will Meredith and Flurry's little groups still be spitting out warnings by then?
Exposing the underbelly of Armstrongism in all of its wacky glory! Nothing you read here is made up. What you read here is the up to date face of Herbert W Armstrong's legacy. It's the gritty and dirty behind the scenes look at Armstrongism as you have never seen it before! With all the new crazy self-appointed Chief Overseers, Apostles, Prophets, Pharisees, legalists, and outright liars leading various Churches of God today, it is important to hold these agents of deception accountable.

Jesus Christ said, "I will come when you think not," or words to that effect. Therefore, according to Jesus and correlating the website given, the year 2024 is the first year possible for his return and the end of the world. We can know exactly what day, if we can compute the Feast of Trumpets accurately. Good luck with that.
Oopsie!
I just claimed another year and so that's ruined!
First of all, to set any dates one has to assume that the Bible is an accurate book guided by an actual god and transmitted without any flaws. It isn't.
Then, you have to also conclude that the concocted Jesus who came out of the Council of Nicea was an actual person and we have an accurate account of what that individual taught. We don't.
The nuts will keep on predicting and people will keep on being ignorant and gullible, just like we all once were.
It might be wise and more real to live in this moment instead of living "just around the corner," "any time now," "3-5/ 10 at the most, certaininly no more than 25," "time is short" time.
Let's FACE it COG's. The Apostle Paul who told the single to stay singe, the married to act like they werent (no problem for most humans), the rich to "turn it in," and the "we who alive and remain," to hang on just a bit longer, WAS 100% WRONG."
He blew it off (as will Weinland, Meredith, Pack, Flury etc) will with, "Oh well, I fought a good fight, I kept the faith (all different of course), therefore is laid up for ME.....so see ya, it's been fun, bye now..."
We're all on conveyer belt. Some never get on it, some get on and fall right off, some hang out a bit and then fall off, some make it all the way to the end and fall of the end. No matter, we all fall off.
Don't waste your present in the unknowable future, or for that matter, the unchangeable past. We all do it, or we'd not be commenting on all this stuff and I'd sure not be writing about it

Hey! Where's Herbie's shit in all this??
It was disappointing that "1975 in Prophecy" was not listed on the website, since it is THE End All prophecy of all prophecies, based on both of the fictional works of Herbert Armstrong, British Israelism and The True History of The True Church -- which have both been proven absolutely false.
Be aware that I was completely facetious and ironic in my first post for this topic: God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Bible and whatever else is not now, has never been and never will be a part of Armstrongism or the false prophet, Herbert Armstrong, no matter how often he signed his blasphemous and heretical co-worker letters, "In Jesus' Name", thereby making him the son of perdition forever, if there is anything to what is written in Revelation 22.
I don't know the answer to Steve's question, but it might be worth meditating on a proof text from The Seven Laws of Success (page 22 in the 1974 edition):
"I watch elimination (very important)".
HWA is listed under 1979. The web site owner is Loren Madsen lmadsen@gmail.com
Let him know more dates about HWA and he may integrate them into the site.
The Seven Laws of Success had some significant omissions.
The first, and I think, biggest, is planning, but then again, Herbert Armstrong didn't do a lot of that. He just spent profligately in manic mode and then realized, oops! I'm running out of money! He would then send out a co-worker letter telling people how dire the condition of the work was and got them to send their money so he could go on more unplanned spending sprees. You might call that success. I would call it a methodology for recovering from foolishness.
Another feature missing from the 7 laws to excess was to avoid getting entangled with the insane and the sociopath / psychopath, which in his case was probably pretty much the same thing. In fact, becoming involved with a narcissist, sociopath, psychopath and / or a crazy person pretty much insures that you will NOT be a success and you will never reach your original goal. What you will have to do is spend years recovering what you have lost instead.
Much more entertaining is Alma Geddon It's the End of the World as we know it... Again!"
When you do the search, you will find 1936 AND 1975. Yes, friends, it's utterly unbelievable that the first time Herbert visibly failed to do anything but be a delusional false prophet was back 75 years ago.
Not satisfied to utterly fail once shortly after he started, he pressed forward and with all the determined fortitude he could muster, he did it again for 1975!
But then, 1975 was by no means the sole province of Herbert Armstrong. Some of the other crazies went to cash in on that date too.
Be sure to catch the fun!
I did "catch the fun," Douglas.
Thanks for putting us onto that site. Haven't yet had the time to read all the entries, but I will get to them.
How dumb we can be. I spent a lot of time drawing up time charts based on prophetic assumptions when I was a student and after. So, I can't feel superior.
