COGers say the strangest things:
When Adam and Eve were created, was it possible that they may have looked
different from what humans came to look like? What I mean is, is it possible
that they were bio luminescent beings or beings somewhere above humans but below divine spirit beings? And then when they took of the tree of knowledge, and God clothed them, could that have been God turning them into fully flesh and blood
beings? I think that when Adam and Eve were created that they may have been
created in a way that, had they not taken of the tree of knowledge of good and
evil, they would have been fully spirit divine beings (verse 22 in Genesis 3
seems to indicate that Adam and Eve may have became divine beings had they not
sinned).
So I guess if Adam and Even had not sinned we would all be glowing today? Eve and that damn apple tree!

It could never cross a COGer mind that Adam and Eve are mythic and while the Priests had a reason for the story, it wasn't to tell where we came from or promote Original Sin
Common beliefs about Adam and Eve COGers will eventually have to get over.
It is a story demoting women and matriarchy and the serpent counselor to the goddess.
It is a story promoting patriarchy , Priests male dominance
There are many gods in the story. El was supreme and the Elohim, or Council of the Gods was his audience.
It was the lesser gods in the Council who are the "Us", "our" and "We" in the text.
Jesus is not in these stories and was not the 2nd God being spoken to by El.
The Council of the gods was worried that they would eat of the tree of life and live forever because both trees were god food and not for humans.
The Knowledge of Good and Evil was for the gods and EL and not Adam and Eve
If humans are't supposed to know good from evil by eating from the tree, how could what they did be wrong since they could not know good from evil?
Cain's offering was rejected because it was veggie. Veggies, seeds, rain, plants, earth, growth are all Goddess symbols. El wants meat, sacrifice, temples, priests and blood. This is why Abel's meat offering was more acceptable to El. Cain was driven out as was Goddess worship and any role for women outside of having babies painfully and saying "yes sir" to their men.
The Adam and Eve story is a Hebrew retelling of an older Sumerian creation myth with a Hebrew twist.
But yes, other than this...I am sure they were bioluminescent and Adam was 7 feet tall while Eve had to settle for 6.

I love that this kind of religious speculation was always allowed in WCG but scientists performing actual experiments should be ignored as idiots. There was one in every church - a social misfit who was somehow even too unacceptable for a church wife, who would prove their Bible savvy by creating or repeating these moronic statements. It was the only way to communicate with others to show just how much knowledge they had! You are right, COGers do say the dumbest things... but even more if them LISTEN to it!

I heard on the discovery channel our brains shrinking now and the skull so the scientist said we are going backward now. That is because we dont have to be alone anymore we work in packs and only lone animals really have to be smart. in packs and big large society animals like humans dont have any need for instinct and great smell .
