Blood Moon's and Church of God Prophecy

For the last couple of years various fundamentalist preachers, Jewish extremists and whacked out Mormons have declared the "blood moon's" to be prophetic signs from God that the end time is here.  Every single one of them has proven to be liars and frauds.

Jumping into that fray are various Church of God "leaders" who claiming NOTHING will happen on the "blood moon" dates, but then go on to make their own bizarre predictions.   They trip all over themselves trying to disprove the blood moons, mocking the men and women who made the predictions, YET they make their own stupid predictions and think they are absolutely spot on.

For 80 some years now we have heard one idiotic prophecy after another from Herbert Armstrong, Rod Meredith, Herman Hoeh, Dean Blackwell, Gerald Waterhouse and others.  Not one single thing they prophesied has taken place nor will it.  Every one of them have been proven to be liars, yet their god continues to speak to them and reveal secret equally stupid knowledge that they willingly share share.

Church of God leaders are eager to disprove "so-called" Christian's, radical Jews and other cult predictions, yet they do not speak out against the abysmal failure of their own leaders and their own prophecies.  They all want to be take as credible men yet none of them have any credibility at all. Not one single one of them!

You can read a list of 209 failed prophecies of Herbert Armstrong, Rod Meredith, Herman Hoeh and others here:  Herbert Armstrong's 209 Failed Prophecies

They're going to ridicule this for the overt reason that the blood moons were never part of the Armstrong prophecy mold. But, the subliminal reason is that these other groups have linked the moons to the shemitahs, or land sabbaths. In ancient Israel, the land sabbaths were observed on a national basis, and the Jews have maintained their records in such a way that they know, even today when these fall. The shemitah is in sync with these moons, which is why religious extremists are attaching apocalyptic significance to them.

HWA treated the land sabbaths like third tithe. Farmers counted them out on an individual basis from the time they were baptized into Armstrongism. If suddenly, the national timing of the shemitahs is known to have been preserved, then yet another part of WCG theology appears to be ignorant. Wrong dates for any sabbath were considered to be serious error, as only "God's True Church" knew and kept them. That was the sign. You'd hear members speak disparagingly of non-ACOG theologians, as in "Why should we listen to anything Billy Graham says? He doesn't even keep the sabbath!"

Comment was made that: "For the last couple of years various fundamentalist preachers, Jewish extremists and whacked out Mormons have declared the "blood moon's" to be prophetic signs from God that the end time is here. Every single one of them has proven to be liars and frauds..."

And that is true, but why?

For one thing so many of them think that today, or our generation, or this 21st century is some "end time," "the end times," "the time of the end," etc., but what would make it so? They are all speculating and have been proven to be liars and frauds, and who is the father of lies?

What Jesus Christ told the religious leaders of His day, when He walked this earth, is still true today:

"Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

But putting that aside and thinking about them "blood Moon's" there are two scriptures many people refer to:

Joel 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

Revelation 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Joel refers to the terrible day of the LORD, which will not occur until some time AFTER Satan is loosed from the bottomless pit.......a very long time from today!

Revelation 6:12 refers to the 6th Seal, which has not yet occurred. Even the 5th Seal hasn't been completed either.

And there may be other reasons, but we are going to continue to hear from liars and frauds...

COG making scriptures mean what they never meant for times in the nebulous future thousands of years beyond their intended shelf life rank right up there with Bob Thiel's grasp of weather. Natural phenomenon have always confused the god haunted and willingly ignorant and unread

The bible is bullshit. Study where it came from.

The use of this particular book has reined havoc on humanity and yet people still fall for the words of charlatans who use it for advancement of personal wealth. Same with any holy book. The expressed purpose is to defraud people thru fear and intimidation.

Until astronomical events start occurring without a known cause or that were not predicted, there is absolutely no reason to assign supernatural significance to natural eclipses that result from the normal precessions of the orbits. And even then, it's not a conclusion that should simply be jumped to.

Also, this just in, but we now know where the sun goes at night, unlike the people who wrote the bible.
