PCG: Making Edstone Great Again

See the fun here on Twitter

We have always known that the COG tended to be on "right" side of things politically, even though they don't care enough to vote, claiming the bible tells them not to, or something.

Here are the fun-loving kids from Philadelphia Church of God, Edstone, England, keeping up their bipartisan facade.

Gasp - PCG has a "Winter Weekend", too?

Is no COG group safe from this? Other than James Malm's scattered flock?

Give PCG some credit for honesty here. Some other groups, like LCG, call it a "Family Weekend" and don't acknowledge that it occurs neither in Spring, nor Summer, nor Fall, but is anchored to the Winter Solstice and Xmas.

I noticed the girl in the FBI jacket. How appropriate for a church event. She’s probably a deaconess.

One fact is always evident, there is no copyright on stupid.

The very first one has always been called the "Winter Family Weekend" hosted by Jim O'brien.

As for it falling on xmas, that's the best time, we're off for the "winter holidays" which we don't celebrate, so why not?

They lean right on certain societal issues but that goes for any sort of church. You'll also find that the PCG tends to frown on firearms ownership but won't out right ban it.

Always a mystery on what rules they will and will not enforce and what they'll shame you for being interested in without outright saying it.

Zeus bless'em for not voting. It may be their sole redeeming quality.

A couple of observations--

The Statue of Liberty, is based on the Roman Goddess Libertas , and is thus as pagan as anything else, like Santa Claus.

Interesting how a group that does not allow voting, military service or political involvement, would be so into such a thing. During the Vietnam era, there was the term "Chicken Hawk" , with probably applies to this bunch , for several reasons .

(From Wikipedia) The term indicates that the person in question is hypocritical for personally dodging a draft or otherwise shirking their duty to their country during a time of armed conflict while advocating that others do so. Generally, the implication is that chickenhawks lack the moral character to participate in war themselves, preferring to ask others to support, fight and perhaps die in an armed conflict.

How about:

FLURRY'S BIGGEST IDOLATER

Some of those people don't look normal.

I’ve never been able to understand how, but there actually are some members of even the strictest of the ACOGs who are happy. It’s difficult to imagine what their circumstances or state of mind might have been in their former lives, but from these pictures, I’d have to guess that Flurry must be serving up some Kool Aid!

BB, the kids in those pictures are PCG royalty, so of course they are happy. Other people's tithes are being spent to finance their college lifestyle. If they play along, they may be hired after graduation and continue to live off the tithes of other PCGers.

I wouldn’t have guessed that, 4:30. Two of the smilers, the girl in the red hat and lady liberty, appear to be multi-ethnic, ie “non-Israelites” in ACOG parlance. There had been reports throughout the past that Flurry generally broke up multi-ethnic marriages. Has PCG’s sense of humanity come into the new millennium and welcomed diversity?
